JESS'S POV

"Нey, Jess," Eric said

"Нey!"

"We do it in my house, yea?"

"Yep!"

He sent me the address and I called a cab. I arrived at his house, it's quite big. I knocked at his door and Ken opened it.

"Uh, hey.. Who are you?" Ken asked

"I'm Jess, Eric's essay partner? Cathy's friend?"

"Oh okay, come in." Ken said moving aside

I came in and Ken said, "You two can do your essay on the living room." Ken pointed to the living room and I thanked him.

I sat down on a chair waiting for Eric to come.

After ten minutes, Eric came down and said, "Sorry, my aunt called for something important."

"It's okay, wheres your mom and dad by the way?" I asked and he stayed silent.

"Um.. Okay, lets do this!" I clapped my hands and he chuckled.

We did the essay with tons of struggling but I honestly have fun working with him.

"So I must go then, thanks by the way," I said walking to the door and he walked me out.

When we went outside, a women got out of a car and happily said, "Eric! Where's your brothers and who is this girl with you?" She smiled

"Im Jess mam, I came to do the essay."

"Okay, you can call me Wendy," she smiled sheepishly and we shook hands

"I got to go now! Bye Eric, bye Wendy," I waved and they waved back.

I called a cab again and got home and opened the door.

"Mom! I was in my friend's house!" I yelled and ran to my room.

I layed down and plug my earphones. I listened to some songs and before I know it, I slept.

I opened my eyes to my clock and the time is 06.29

I realized I haven't changed last evening. I stomped to the bathroom and took a shower.

Then, I called Vivian and Cathy on phone.

"Нey gals!" I greeted them

"Hi guys.." Cathy sniffed, she sounds like crying

"Are you crying Cathy?" Vivian said worried

"No," She sounds like sobbing more

"Vivian! Lets roll!"

"Roger that Jess."

I hang up and went to Cathy's house. I saw Vivian got out of her car after a minute I arrived.

"What's with her?" I asked in front of Cathy's door

"I don't know.."

I knocked and the door was unlocked, so we opened and saw no one around. We walked to Cathy's room and hear her sobbing.

"Cathy, what's wrong?" I pat her back and Vivian gave her a sympathic face

"M-my par-rents w-will be divor-ced," She said with tears came out of her eyes

"But.. Why?" Vivian asked and we just hug her

"They are not happy with each other anymore.." Cathy said

"I know everything will be okay Cathy... Does your brother know about this?" I asked

"He does.. Last night they had that argument.. They were working on the divorcement.."

I sighed and took a cup of water from the kitchen and came back to her room. She gulped some water and continued, "He was scared.. I never seen him so scared in my entire life.. I was scared too.."

"Cheer up Cathy.." Vivian said

"You guys are the best.." She smiled a little and hug us.

"We know," I grinned sheepishly

"Guys! Let's play something!" Vivian said excitedly

"If it's soccer, let's not," Cathy laughed and I smiled.

"Let's play truth or dare!!!" I suggested and they nodded their heads excitedly

"Okay! Who first?!"

"Guys, can you stay here? Let's have a sleepover!" Cathy said

I think she cheered up and Im happy about it.

"Okay, lemme inform mom," I said and called to my mom. My mom agreed and I think Vivian is good.

"Yay! Oh wait.. Is tomorrow Monday??" Cathy asked

"Oh dang...." I frowned and Vivian groaned widely

"Let's sleep now then," Cathy smiled sadly and we agreed.

"Guys! Wake up! Its 7 a.m!" Cathy said panicly and I rubbed my eyes.

"Aw man!" Vivian said and we took a quick bath and borrowed some Cathy's clothes.

After that we got into the bus on time and I think I saw her brother arrived when we took off.

"Нey Alex!" I greeted Alex, my biology lab partner. Cathy and Vivian got Math and so well..

"Нi Jess!" She smiled

I see Eric with Ken at the front row, he's cute.. I think I may like him.. But I know he won't like me back.

"What's with the frown?" Alex said curiously and I just realized I was frowning

"Oh nothing," I smiled

"Good morning class, we are today going to study the ecosystem and there will be fun assigments," Mr. Hansen grinned wickedly. I didn't even saw him came.

"That assigment was hard!" I groaned and Alex just chuckled beside me, "At least it wasn't as hard as the last one."

"Yeah.." I said and waved at her as she went to her friends.

I saw Cathy and Vivian laughing at a distance and I walked to them.

"So how's math?" I asked

"You k-know Josh? He w-was sleeping in the class and h-he drolled over until it d-dripped to the floor, t-then the teacher step on it and said t-that he needs to keep his droll at home," Cathy said still laughing and Vivian continued, "You must have seen her face! It was priceless."

I chuckled and we walked to our homeroom.
