2012

"I'm Philip Murray, this is my daughter Avastasia Taylor-Murray, the sister of Christopher, Parker..."

"Sorry, I'm new here," the woman cut in moving out of the door frame to let them inside.  "I'm the current replacement of the ill Atlas. Sorry, I'm still getting used to the house."

"That's okay, " Ava responded a bit excited to search the house to see her brothers.

"Go inside Tasia!" Her father said knowing she wanted to see her brother and he wanted to discuss it with this employee of the house.

Ava felt foreign inside the house for a few seconds, blinking her eyes wondering where would they be and where to go. Explore. She climbed the stairs, it was the afternoon, but they were probably still fast asleep. Opening doors without caring how much noises, she could make.

"LEE!"

"Avalanche!" he spun her as she playful hit him not liking that nickname, laughing from his embrace.

"Dad," he greeted as he was still holding his little sister, "how are you?"

"I'm good where are the others?"

"Work for Chris and Spencer, practices and friends for Elliott and Frank," Lee responded to his dad, "I'm supposed to get them, later." realizing another occupant of the house would be pleased to get downstairs. "SPENCER!"

"WHAT!" Spencer roared sounding frustrated.

Before Lee could say anything to rile up his big bro. "I'M HOME!" Ava high-pitch voice shouted so near Lee's left ear leaving him to have a contorted smile.

"Ava?" the door from his room open from what she could hear upstairs as Spencer repeated again and again as he ran down the two flights of stairs. "AVA!" trying to pull her out of Lee's grip.

"Let her go, lil bro! I'm sure she wants to see someone else," Spencer said towering his little brother as much as he could at he was twenty-two years old because Lee was still in his growing phase even at eighteen.

"I miss her too. You are the one who didn't see her first."

"I miss you too!" Ava said leaning her forearms and her body tower Spencer who smirk at Lee.

Spencer took her pressing her against his chest. His ten little baby sister wasn't heavy at all, was she already starving herself? He read many atrocious articles, he tried not to shudder unwilling to let her know what he was thinking. "Lee, go help dad bring the luggage," he ordered still not letting her down.

"You could too!" Lee replied annoyed being ordered by his older brother using his sister as an excuse to not help their father.

"Let me down, I wanna get my baggage."

"Your what?"

"Luggage," their father replied hugging Lee against him. He didn't move even if the luggage were still outside. "She still has trouble with English so be nice and it would be a good thing for you to practice your French." Already thinking about the benefit for his children to speak these two languages.

The two young adults rolled their eyes as they went outside under the bright sun of Los Angeles to get the forgotten luggage.  Each of them carried one luggage, it was a lot less than they expected.

"The guys are so missing out, right now!" Lee said. " What some help, Ava?"

Ava was still jumping up and down happily, shaking her head.

"Just unpack what you need," their father said addressing to his little girl, "no need to unpack everything as I'm sure you are going to crash down real soon," He turned to his older son currently in the house Spencer, "do you know where is your mother?"

"She's at work," He knew it would make their father grumbled. Spencer heard his father muttered. "As expected. No, surprise there."

"Darrin would be there soon. He called saying he would try to take off from work to be here."

"Lee, would you mind helping your sister and take care of her while I talk to Spencer, we will be in the kitchen."

"Okay... come, Ava, let me help you with it, want to use the elevator,"

"You have an elevator?!" She said the excitement hasn't left her.

It made Lee chuckled.

The rest of the boys were sitting in the living room itching to wake up their baby sister except one of them deeply in his newly gift iPod Touch. They had spoken and catch up with their father who was pretty civil with Darrin, they thought the two men would try to test each other, but none of it, it stayed very cordial. They were in Darrin's office.

They heard Lee's footsteps in the staircase which was a bit farther from the living room.

"I brought a little sleepyhead," Lee said carrying his sister who had her head on his shoulder.

"I'm not little, " she yawned and rubbed her eyelids. " Let me down, I can walk," Lee let her feet touched the floor, a yellow hardwood.

"Remember us?" Christopher asked a bit worried not taking care of formulating a sentence unsure if he should stand up or not. He had a few days off because of his sister and father coming home. As a police officer, he was the last to come home. He was grateful to have a break of a few hours before picking a night shift to compensate, something he won't tell his sister so she won't be too sad.

"Of course, silly, we saw each other in summer and send emails and pictures for Christmas," Avastasia said happily while raising her arms to be pick-up.

"Obviously, she remembered, she didn't hit her head to forget us," Elliott said. " Don't listen to stupid Chrissy."

"Stop it! It's Christo! This sounds more like a girl's name," his older brother replied.

"OMG! We miss you so much." Parker called out as he stood up to take a hold of her in some way.

"Hey, Little Avalanche! Nice to see you," Frank said as he was the only one reacting not overexcited.

All the brothers tried to grab her to hug her. Avastasia felt herself going very stiff, she like hugs, but this was too much.

"Guys, you are suffocating her, maybe back -up? You are overwhelming her crowding her this way, " Darin said as he appeared in the living room to meet the daughter of his girlfriend.

As they back away from Avastasia, they started looking at her head to toes as she as to go again down on her feet.

"HI!?" she squeaked out.

"Let me refresh and show you, so your bros are Chris, Park, Spencer, Elliott, Frankie and me, Lee."

"He means EEEEE," Frank teased briefly smiling.

Lee rolled his eyes."Sure Frankenstein," as he smiled.

"Why don't you sit down and we decided what to order?" Darin suggested as he took in control and charge of the group to disperse the embarrassment that she was feeling. "Your father is talking to your mother."

"Yeah, what would you like?"Christopher said realizing, she must be hungry, as he looked at her as they took a spot around the living room.

"What can we order?"

"Chinese, pizza, tacos, Thai, Indian, hot dogs, burgers, Italian food?"

"I don't mind Italian food, burgers or pizza."

"Nice, one of you get your laptop to check what's on the menu and you can make the call. We are probably going to eat later between adults," Darin said referring to their parents. " Let me know if it's delivered here or if I need to get it and the price so I can pay."

Elliott went to grab his computer while the other waited and Darrin leaving the room. They didn't know their sister's food preferences, it was their chance to learn more.

"We should decide which places offer Italian, burgers or pizza that can be delivered in case they leave for a restaurant."

The boys throw ideas while Christopher would remind them which ones were only to pick-up and those who were not yet open to take an order. Elliott came and sat next to making her squish in between Lee and him, he opened the tabs of the possibilities.

"I think it's enough, we have more than twenty that I know is delivering and accepting orders at this hour."

"We can order for later, she offered. " I'm still tired so totally not ready to eat, now. "

"Did any of these names sound familiar," Elliott asked already thinking that something she knows would make her feel less uneasy when the food arrived.

"No, but pasta and pizza sound good, what you all think?" she asked trying to include them still looking at the screen.

"Pizza and whatever leftovers, we can eat later," Spencer said making the rest nod. " Just look at the menus and order whatever you want. Elliott knows our order, right?" he said glancing at him.

Her brother simply rolled his eyes and closed a few tabs that were none related to pasta and pizza.

"Where do you usually order, you know they won't mess up your order or that is good food?"

"Mmmm. That one is good... that's garbage...that's decent... this one the guys won't like it..." he said while the guys started to leave to do their stuff as he browsed on the remaining open tabs. "too expensive for the taste level...this is good... another good choice not so far from here... this one we can get a discount as we buy a lot from them...that's one is good but takes too long for today.

Ava giggled at this. He was funny just mumbling about Italian places. She had to ask other questions to see how he would react to this process of elimination.

"Any of them that are not serving all together with their order?"

"Who's order?"

"Brothers."

"Ah, uh nope, they all have what we want as he changed depending on the place. What you do you pizza or pasta or chicken or a mixture of both?"

"Mixed, but like I want to share the pizza cuz I'm stuff with two slices."

Elliott stopped looking at his screen to stare intensively at his little sister. "Are you serious, ou are ten and only two pieces."

"That's why I want pasta," She feared that the pepperoni would be too spicy to her liking. "Pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with Alfredo sauce. Just pick whatever."

"Hey, Elliott are you done?" Spencer asked passing by again in the living room. " I just went to Darin letting him know, I would drive to get the food so place the order as a pick-up."

"Yeah sure. Give me a sec... here we go and all done. Anything missing? What time should it be ready for pick-up?"

"As soon as possible since little one didn't eat."

"Ain't little," Ava mumbled but the loud volume of her older brothers passed her comment under the radar.

"You got the onion rings, the fries, the cheese bites and the desserts?"

"Yes, I did or else you would have my head."

"And the greek salad for mom when she comes back from work or to take at work tomorrow?"

Elliott nodded.

"Parker can you show little Avalanche where to get the cups and the different drinks. Just no alcohol!" Chris said.

"It's fine, even if I don't drink you don't need to put a restriction because I'm here! Don't change because of me!"

"Movies nights are always without alcohol since we had a few catastrophes when we took alcoholics drinks," Chris explained with a smile and a laugh as he squeezed her left shoulder grabbing the keys.

Avastasia just stayed still unsure whether to hug him back or move.

She followed Parker into the kitchen, not before hearing Chris muttering to Spencer that they would talk later.

"So do you guys often do use takeout ?" She asked, trying to know them to know and make a conversation that would create less awkwardness.

"Yeah, we have a cook, since we barely have time to eat together let alone cook so we just call for takeout if we don't meet for the timing. The weekend so Friday night, Saturday and Sunday are always off for the staff in the house unless it's one of those special occasions that they stayed to help. Today, is one of these exception days where we just want to take some food other than being cook here and watched movies tv show, talked, played games..."

"We are doing this in the sibling level, take the elevator, " Joshua's voice said throughout the intercom. "I text the others, when they come, they will join us... shouldn't be too long."

"Coming," Parker answered, pressing the button.

"We might need to make a few trips, Park!"

"There's a chariot in the closet, we will place everything we need."

Avastasia nodded and gathered everything from the green tablecloth, the plastic cups different colour, the plastic plates, the utensils, the napkins, and the sodas, the juices, and a jug of water. At least from whatever she could reach for her height and just take the items from Parker's hands.

I do hope you enjoy this chapter.  I did see the name of another story with the family Murray. It's bound to happen so no worries. The last chapter was quite short and will obviously need to be reviewed again.
