I woke up still thinking about the stupid bills. I didn't want to lose the house. I was scared. I didn't want to live on the streets. OMG I can be thrown in a girls home and Ponyboy could be thrown in a boys home. Ok ok ok. Just stay calm an think. It's Thursday this weekend I have nothing to do so.... I can look for a job. Alright sounds good. I can work at a bakery or machanic shop or something. I just gotta find somethin I'm good at. Wait...Maybe I should ask Darry though. I thought to myself. I know he doesn't want me working but we might lose the house and I know he needs help even though I know he won't admit it. Wait he can't know I read the letters. Ok well he knows I hate school so it will just be another normal question. Just then I heard Darry waking pony and Soda up. I then acted asleep when he walked in. "Rise and shine!" Darry yelled. I slowly got up as I normally do. "Hey Darry can I talk to you about something?"
"Sure string bean" he said plopping on my bed.
"So can I get a job?"
"What? Hell no. School is your priority" he said strictly.
"Look Darry Im not smart and I can barely survive school. Please Darry. I can help you pay the bills too"
"No buts you will not be working and that's final you here?!" he said pointing his finger.
"But Darry you let Soda work!"
"Maria that's enough know get ready for school!" He scolded as he walked out.
Who cares. Please do you actually think I'm gonna listen. Ya no! This weekend I'll go look for a job and figure it out. Should be easy right?
