We all sat there and ate what Darrys girl made. I'm not gonna lie she made the best food. We all ate and sat and made jokes. Once in a while she would say somethin funny too.
"I'm sorry but we didn't get ur name" Ponyboy said politly eating mash potatoes.
"Oh it's Karen and I'm guessing ur Ponyboy Sodapop Johnny Two bit the infamous Dallas Steve and Maria or String bean." She smiled pointing to all of us.
"I like this chick" Dall smiled bc of what she said about him.
"So how long have u guys been together?" Soda asked actually eating his vegetables.
"For about 2 weeks now" she said givin Steve more smash patoes. He would not slow down! I swear he was gonna choke.
Dinner was amazing actually it went well. Nothing wrong happened. Once everyone was done she came to pic up our plates. Me and Dally were joking around then of course Darry started yelling at me when Karen came to pic my plate up.
"Maria! Don't be rude and go help Karen with everything!"

"No it's fine Darry I got it u guys just go relax" she said kindly.

"No she's used to being rude and I'm done with it! Now go help Maria Now!"
"Excuse me Karen I'll be in in a minute." I smiled. She walked in to the kitchen.
"U know what I'm done I practically saved our asses at the diner when the fuzz showed then u don't even say thank u! Ur saying I'm rude Darry?! No the one time I disobey u which was actually to save our house I get in trouble for! Then when I may have an actual chance to actually follow my dreams and become what I want u call me rude and take ur anger out on me! Come on!" I walked in to my room grabbed the envelope full of money for the house and walked out to the table. "Here's ur Damn Money Darry go drop it off at the bank tomorrow morning!" I yelled throwing the envelope at him hitting his chest. I then walked into the kitchen to help Karen.
"I'm sorry" she said looking down cleaning the dishes. "No it's not u me and Darry just don't get along to well." She nodded. She then plashed me with water playfully. I giggled and got her back. We then got into a big water fight in the kitchen. The boys except Darry came in and joined us. Karen wasn't bad. She was actually pretty cool. Maybe I judged her to quick. We all then picked up the mess and watched a movie. Evie Steve's girl came then Dally's new girl came Katelyn sodas girl Sarah and Two bits girl Lacey came. All the girls came over to hang out but of course Ponyboy was still a single Pringle. Everyone came over and  had fun I could tell tho Darry was hurting on the inside to. I didn't really care to be honest tho. After the movie Karen stayed the night in Darrys room and everyone stayed. I walked into my room and Johnny slept with me with his arm rapped around me holding me close like he was protecting me.
"Good night Johnny cake"
"Night string bean" he said kissing my cheek.
