The Question
Roughly a week or two later at the bakery
For the last few days I've been working in the bakery with Marinette, it's been really fun. So, one day while working I asked her what kind sweet flavors she likes, too which she replied, "I like chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla." "Thanks" I said, then the next day I proceeded to cook a batch of cookies with those flavors and decorate them. I then wrote a note saying 'Marinette, would you like to go on a date with me,' I folded it and put under the cookie on top, and grabbed two glasses of milk. When I went up to knock on her door I heard a sobbing sound. I knocked saying, "Marinette, can I come in?"
I heard a sobbing, "yeah," and hesitantly proceeded in. I steeled my emotions and went up to her and said, "are you okay," still holding the warm cookie and glasses of milk. She ignored what I was holding, ran up, hugged me and proceeded to sob into my shoulder. "He likes someone else," she said and continued to sob.
I hugged her back, and after a moment I said, "let's sit down and talk about it." So I sat her down, put the cookies and milk down, and wiped some of the tears from her face. "Now, tell me what happened."
"Well," she started, "I finally got the nerve to ask Adrien out, but..." tears began to form in her eyes, "but he said he likes someone else, and he said it like I meant nothing to him." She began to cry again. It took a lot to keep my emotions under control seeing her like this, and to keep from removing Adrien's head from his shoulder.
"Would a fresh made cookie and a glass of milk make you feel better" I asked pushing the plate and cup toward her.
She looked at them for a moment, then asked "did you make those for me?"
Smiling I said, "maybe, go ahead and try one before they get cold." I watched her grab the top one and as she picked it up she noticed the note, and without taking her eyes off it, picked it up and read it. "I-I'm not always the best with my words, so I thought I'd try this method," I confessed.
She looked up at me slowly and said, " yes."
"You will," I asked with a bit of shock.
"Yes," she said again, "yes I will."
"Tonight at seven, there's a nice restaurant down the road called Calving's Rendezvous," I offered.
"I'd love that, at seven then," she said, and the date was set. After a few minutes of talking and calming her down, I calmly walked out of her room. As soon as I went into my room I quickly set a reservation at Calving's Rendezvous and then bought a rose for Marinette. At six I took a shower, prepared my suit along with a small amount of cologne. When it hit seven I walked up to her room and knocked. When it opened, I saw Marinette, wearing the most beautiful dress I had ever seen.
"You look beautiful ever Marinette," I said extending my hand with a rose toward her.
"You don't look half bad yourself," she said taking the rose in one hand, and my hand in the other. We walked out of the bakery toward Calving's Rendezvous. As we walked, I noticed Alya on the other side of the street, with a surprised expression on her face. I didn't pay to much mind to it though. As we neared the restaurant, I saw Chloe walking nearby a perfume store. Her expression was one of total shock, as she kept her eyes on us without blinking. But, I still didn't pay too much attention, as my mind was completely on Marinette.
