The next day at the diner
"This place is pretty nice," I said as we arrived. The diner had several booths, a few tables and some barstools. There were blues, reds, and whites all over with old fashioned posters along some of the walls. I'm wearing a dark-grey shirt with a lighter gray over shirt, and she was wearing her usual outfit. "Looks similar to it would be like back then."
"Oh, look it say that tonight there is a karaoke competition going on," she exclaimed, "lets enter!"
Looking at the poster it says that you have to enter individually. "As long as your fine with going against me," I told her.
"Your on!"
"Let's get some food first, shall we," I said as we seated. I ended up ordering a burger and she ordered some chicken tenders. "I'll go sign us up if you want," I offered.
"Alright," she agreed. So I went up and signed us up and after a few minutes the announcers came into view and said, "our first match of the night it is Marinette, against Jamison."
"Have fun," I told her as she went up. They both did incredible, she did Future Husband and he did Riot, she won though. "Good job," as she came back.
"Next, David against Robert," the announcer said after a moment.
"Your turn tiger," she told me as I went up.
Robert did some sort of rapping song, he did fairly good. When I went up I did Don't Have to be me Till Monday. When I finished everyone was staring at me, they then began to clap as I went back to my seat.
"You didn't tell me you were such a good singer," she complimented and elbowed me.
"I didn't tell me ether," I admitted, "I've never really had a chance to sing before." Our food arrived a moment later, freshly cooked. Through the next few matches we both won until we went against each other. "Don't hold back," I told her as we went up.
"Same to you," she told me. We both did our songs, however, I ended up winning.
"You did amazing," I told her as I sat down.
"You still won," she said finishing her meal.
"You already won my heart," I said and kissed her on the cheek.
"You missed," she said grabbing my shirt and kissed me on the lips, and I kissed her back.

We finally separated for a moment, breathing a little heavily. We kissed again. We broke off after a moment, remembering ourselves and where we are. The bill arrived then and I paid it immediately. "So," I started, "would you like to hear more of my story."
"Sure." A smile crept across her face. We left and restarted telling my story. Part way through my story and walk back, I noticed the sound of someone following us... from the rooftops, Chat I assume. I let the cat follow us, continuing my story, until we got back.
"I just remembered something, I have a jacket that I left at my place, I'll be right back," I told her.
"Do you have to go," she pleaded.
"Ten minutes, at the top end," I said kissed her forehead and left her in the bakery.
Moments later in a nearby alleyway
I stop and said loudly, "I know you're following me Chat, come on out of the shadows." I heard his feet hit the ground, I turned saying, "what do you want?"
"What exactly are you doing with Marinette," he seemed angry about something.
"Taking her out on a date, you know, where two people who like each other go out and do something."
"I know what a date is, why exactly are you taking her out?"
"I fell in love with her, and... I think she also did with me. Why exactly do you care?"
"I just wanted to warn you that if you hurt her in any way..."
"If that ever happens, none will ever hear from me again."
He looked startled for a second, "do you mean that?"
"Yes, and by the way if you're jealous just bring it up with me," I said clasping my hand on his shoulder, "now if you'll excuse me I've got to go get my jacket."
I re-arrived at the bakery with my jacket and found that Marinette was waiting for me on the couch. "Patience, a great virtue to have in a girlfriend."
  "Did you just call me your girlfriend?"
  "Maybe," I said and kissed her once more.
