Before The Fight
A day or so before he was supposed to arrive
I was getting ready to leave the hotel with Marinette when I felt something try to introduce my mind as well as Marinette's. I managed to shielded my and Marinette's minds. We made way to the meeting point and saw the others. They looked disturbed and shocked. "So he decided to mess with your minds too eh?" Rena Rouge looked at me for a moment, her eyes full of fear. "Okay, time to get to the mansion, now," and we rushed to the mansion. As we made it inside they immediately looked better. "A little trick he likes to do, which means we have less time then I thought. He uses it to psyche out his enemy, which also means he's afraid of what we can do."
"Why didn't it affect ether of us," Ladybug asked with a bit of concern.
"I managed to shield both of us from it, but they were left unprotected," I gesture to them. "What did he show you."
"Terrible, terrible things," Rena Rouge had her hands on her head.
"He can't come in here, and his powers have no effect in here, ether."
"Hear me now," a voice rang from the entrance, "we will fight at the Le Grand Paris tomorrow at highest sun."
"We'll be there," I shouted back. We stood there for a moment without moving, then I sunk to my knees breathing heavily.
"Are you okay," Chat said coming up to me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah... just... need a... minute." They all stared at me for a minute, "I can... sense... he's... grown stronger." I was clenching my fist rather tightly. After a moment I calmed down
"Sorry I have a rather large amount of hatred for him."
"What exactly did he do," Rena Rouge asked curiously.
"A long time ago I lost someone, so he decided it would be funny to raise her soul and have it fight me."
"That's terrible!"
"He also decided to raise the souls of my long-dead family to fight me as well, so don't be surprised if he tries to do something similar to you," I looked at all of them for a long moment. "You are some of the best allies, no, friends that I've ever had." I moved over to the kitchen and ordered some tacos and a milkshake. And after a little while everyone ordered their own food and ate it. "I think we're going to end early today, I've got a few thinks I need to do before tomorrow, so you can go home."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive," I assured them. After they left, I moved to a private room and closed myself inside. I pulled out a pen and paper and began to write. I wrote the story of a man, a man with all the power he could ever want, but he hated it. A man who lived for lifetimes, but was filled with regret. And how no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't be the hero he wanted to be. That was until, however, he met someone, someone special. That special person made all the pain of those lifetimes go away, and made him feel human. He knew however that it could not last, for an old enemy was coming to finish what it had started. So he rallied his allies to fight this monster, and there made their way to the battle field. But his story was to end here, and he knew there was no preventing it. He hoped that the one he loved would understand, why he had to leave.
A few hours of actually writing and finishing the story later
"You know what must be done," Hank said behind him.
"No matter what, we will be right there with you," Tango leaned against the desk.
"Always," Red finished.
"Well, I know it's the end for me, but if I'm going out, I'm going out swinging." I stood up and looked around, "lets finish this once and for all."
