Hello. I'm The Doctor.

Chapter 6

Jenna Oswin Oswald P.O.V.

August 3rd, 8:00 pm. Winchester Street. Could be considered a chilly night for the beginning of August but the cold never bothered me anyway.

I slowly paced down the street and waited for the mysterious Doctor to show up, as I tapped a beat on my legs. Something from my old marching band days. Oh how that was fun. I remember the drills, the sets, the long days at band camp, the bus rides, and most importantly my best friend Leo. We had a thing in high school up until we found out we were brother and sister. Yeah one day we were making out and a fiery hammer appeared over his head. That was a weird day...

I continued to pace up and down the street, growing more and more anxious as minutes passed by. 8:01, silence. 8:02, silence. 8:03, shouting. I slowly moved my hand over the butt of my sword, cautiously looking around. I listened as the sounds of men and women shouting continued. 8:04, explosions and the shouts turned to screams. I began to silently panic, as The Doctor was no where in sight. 8:05, running. Someone had grabbed my hand and started to pull me away from the noise, just as a wall of fire rounded the corner. I, a daughter of Hephaestus was not afraid, especially since I was blessed with the power of fire, but this mortal must have been, yet he had the guts and courage to grab my hand and pull me away from the "danger" that was behind us. As we ran down the long (and when I say long, I mean LONG) street, I slowly began to calm the flame down, so by the time he was out of breath the fire wall was merely two small tracks of fire like from Back to the Future. The man put his hands on his knees and took a moment before standing up and dusting off his blue suit.

"So sorry about that, are you alright?" He asked, his British accent clear as day.

"No, no don't worry about it. Thank the gods that we are alright. We could have gotten into some nasty shit back there." I said as the man chuckled. "I really must get back though. I have to meet someone." I turned my back on the man in the blue suit.

"But wait, it's not safe for a pretty lady to be out here alone." I blushed at his words, but made a small face at the end of his statement. "Not that I don't think that you can defend yourself! It's better to be extra careful right?" I nodded softly. "Right, now lead the way." He said, smiling down at me, although he had just face danger a few moments ago.

"Will do..." I said softly before hearing more screaming. "I'm sorry, I really should go!" I began to run back the way I had come from. The man followed me, his trench coat now flapping behind him as he ran behind me. My running turned to sprinting before coming to a complete halt in shock. "Holy-"

"Hydra..." The man finished. We both stared up at the multi-headed water serpentine, as I took out my sword and let it light up with its beautiful green flames. He looked down at me in awe, "Who are you?" He said softly.

"The woman who is about to save your ass." I winked before running of towards the Hydra. I knew not to cut off a head, or two more would grow. I slid under the belly of the beast  and slashed, and head the monster roar in agony. I dodged three heads at a time, and looped them around, getting the necks tangled. The man just watched, his mouth hanging wide open. I chuckled softly, not looking the Hydra. The Hydra snapped at my left ankle, and my reflexes swung my sword down and cut off the Hydra's middle head.

Shit.

As the two new heads began to grow, I ran to the middle of the beasts and took the chance to plunge my sword into its heart, just as the left head was about to make the blue suit man dinner. I jumped off of the belly of the beast and began to walk towards the man, my left ankle and calf in pain, but I shook it off. But this man could see right through me.

"Your leg... You okay?" He said, his hand resting on my shoulder.  I nodded softly, unsure of my answer. I began to see spots, and the man helped me to the ground. "Okay, I'm going to get help. You stay here."

"No, I'm fine." I said placing my hand on my left leg,  closing my eyes.

"You don't seem it! I'm gonna-" He cut himself off, watching what was going on in front of him. The gashes on my leg began to close, then scar, then disappeared completely. "How...? That's impossible for a human..." I smiled up at him, before standing.

"Exactly. I'm no human. I am... I'm half human. I'm a demigod, a daughter of Hephaestus. I have been blessed with the gift of fire from my father, the gift of healing from Apollo, and the gift of magic from Hecate. I know it's a lot to process but you mustn't tell a soul. If this knowledge falls into the wrong hands it could led to my ultimate doom and I-"

"Whoa whoa, this is a lot to process?" He laughed.

"What's so funny?" I asked putting away my sword before crossing my arms.

"Trust me?" He asked, extending his hand.

"Um..." I said looking up at the man. He looked at me with pleading eyes. I sighed softly before taking his hand. I mean if he turned out to be a horrible guy, I could always burn his hand off. He smiled and began to run down the street. I smiled softly, running side by side with him. We soon approached a blue box that was at the corner of the street. A police box, which is pretty weird for your typical New York. Who am I kidding? There have been weirder things.

The man stopped in front of the box, pulling out a key from his left pocket. He looked back at me before putting the key into the lock and opened the doors. I thought he was crazy, and wanted to well... Snog to put it lightly. But when he opened both doors, my mouth dropped in a amazement. "Oh my stars..." I said, walking in slowly. I smiled softly as he stepped aside to see my reaction. I walked into the large room, with a bunch of controls. There were these tree like structures going aground the whole room. And that wasn't even the end. Stairs led to endless hallways and endless rooms, and endless possibilities for an adventure. "But it's... Look at it it's..."

"Go on, say it. Most people do." He said, smirking softly. My eyes were wide as I bolted outside. I heard a small laugh as I passed him on my way out. I walked around the seemingly normal Police Box and ran my hand along it.

"Curiouser and curiouser..." I muttered softly to myself. Very similar to Bunker Nine, a place hidden within the woods at Camp Half Blood. A place that kept demigods like myself safe from the dangers of the world and underworld. I ran back inside, "It's smaller on the outside."

The man blinked, "Okay, that's a first." I walked to the middle and ran my fingers against the console like object.

"Is it magic? A machine?" I asked, looking at the object in the middle of the contraption in the center of, well, whatever the hell this thing was.

"It's a ship." He replied, smiling as I walked the room.

"A ship?" I turned to face him, leaning against the machine in the middle of the room. I assumed that this is how he flew this ship.

"The best ship in the universe. It's called The TARDIS. It can travel anywhere in time and space. And it's mine."

"Is there a kitchen? More importantly a workshop?" I asked and the man blinked again.

"Another first." He said, raising an eyebrow as if asking for an explanation.

"Sorry.  Daughter of Hephaestus. Building is kinda my life." I said smiling. "So let me get this straight, you have a ship called the TARDIS and you go around time and space doing what exactly...?"

"Helping people, saving lives. I'm a Timelord. The last of my kind. My people all died in a war. A brutal war, that I ended... By killing my own people." The man face dropped for a split second. "Anyway, enough about me! More about you Miss...?"

"Miss. Jenna Oswin Oswald. And you are Mr. Timelord?" I smirked before looking down at my watch.

"Hello. I'm The Doctor." He smiled, extending a hand.

I looked at him with wide eyes and looked back down at my watch.

It was still 8:05 pm.
