Chapter 50 (EDITED)

Oh, sister, i will help you out

"you are not dead, yet," the moon Goddess tells me

"this must be the afterlife" I state, looking around the darkness that surrounded us, there's was no sky, no ground, no walls just black space and the only light was coming from the  Goddess herself.

" you are in the 'the between', if you decide to die you will pass on to the afterlife" she clarifies

"if I decide to die?" I ask, picking up on that part

"yes," the moon goddess nods

" I will show you visions from the past, and the future, vision that is and will come true. After I show everything you can decide if you want to live or die"

She waves her hand and we're back in my pack, except it wasn't my pack anymore the houses were destroyed there were wolves running for their lives while the night-walkers and warriors from the lux and way-heaven fought, the number wasn't fair but the night-walkers were winning.

I cover my mouth to stop from screaming when I spot Andrés, my mother and Ibenez in the battle, they were fighting against their pack while Andrés was killing an alarming amount of wolves using his witch magic.

he was just passing by the warriors killing anyone who came in sight, it wasn't him, he looked like a monster.

"Andrés!" I shout.

maybe if he sees me, he will stop.

"he can't hear you, love" a voice whispers.

I jump because I forget she was here " you can stop this right? please just make it stop it!"

the moon goddess shakes her head " i want to but i can't, Andrés just lost his mate, your mother lost her daughter and mate, your friends and your pack just lost a luna and a friend"

I can't stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks as I watch everything go into flames right in front of me! I have to be there.

" what if I don't want to die," I say

"that's up to you but I have to show your future with Andrés before you decide on anything"

The moon goddess waves her hand again, this time we're in a bedroom, the room is beautiful and warm.

the first thing I noticed is that there's a painting on the wall, more like a mural of four people.

I walk closer to it see that the mural was off me, Andrés and two kids about the age of 10, they looked familiar the boy looked like Andrés while the girl looked like a mix of me and Andrés.

This is our children?

"Andrés I'm worried about Rosaleen"

that was my voice I turn around to find Andrés and I cuddled on the bed, Rosaleen must our daughter's name? it was perfect.

I look back on the mural, the painting of her was so beautiful she had dark blonde  hair like mine and dark brown eyes like Andrés  while our son had all of  Andrés features.

I wonder what the boy's name is, I've always loved the name sawyer I wonder if that's what we called him.

I turn around again because I was too busy looking at the mural, I couldn't help look at it! we make a beautiful family I can't wait to meet both of them.

"she's a strong girl, Amma," Andrés says,

it's weird because we still look the same " how long in the future is this? I ask

"a few years into the future, you look the same because Andrés turned you" the moon goddess answers

wait, so I am an immortal lycan?.. maybe it won't be so bad if this is going be our future, I didn't think we'd have kids, mainly because I haven't thought this far into the future.

Can you blame me? so much have happened in the span of a few days.

"here comes  Reuben" the moon goddess smiles fondly.

the doors burst open and in walks in a brown haired boy, as soon as I see him a sense of familiarity and love overwhelms me.

"Mom, dad Rosaleen set the kitchen on fire again!" he sighs.

"I thought Dave  was taking you two and Chris to the park?" Andrés sighs as-well in the same manner.

" what part of your mother and I need to have a private moment don't you understand?"

"that was three hours ago!" Reuben sasses " come deal with that thing!!"

" ruby, be nice your sister" future me says

"no he's right, i am a monster" Rosaleen walks in crying "everything i touch turns into flames, i can't even make myself a cup of tea without burning the whole pack house down"

that makes my heart hurt, i hated seeing her like this even though i didn't know her. Thank goddess both future i and Andrés get off the bed to comfort her.

" what's wrong with her?" i ask the moon goddess " why was i worried about her in the beginning?"

"Rosaleen took certain traits from a very disrupted Velazquez family member or two" the moon goddess frowns

" that's why I am showing you this because if you do decide to wake up you will get pregnant with Rosaleen and Reuben and history will repeat again"

"what history?" i ask confused

" the history of Cessair and Andrés. In our family, twins are cursed"

the moon goddess snaps her fingers and we're transported to a different place again " the year is 8000 AD, my family and i were one of the first and only witch coven to settle in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The humans didn't mind  that we were witches, as long as we protected and didn't harm they allowed us to stay" the moon goddess explains.

There were people and young children walking around wearing animal skin, there were horses, cows, pigs and different kind of farm animals all around.

I couldn't help look around my surroundings, there were little houses made of tree branches and sticks, there were caves as houses.

"look there's Andrés" the moon goddess speaks,

she was pointing to a boy that looked exactly like Rubén, he was just standing there looking down at something... or someone.. as we get closer I see a woman lying there her heart ripped out.

"oh my," i gag, my stomach twists in knots at the sight.

I look at the moon goddess standing beside me to see her watching the scene in front of us with teary eyes.

"Andres ¿Dónde está tu hermana? Ve, mira, ¡Dios mío! ¿Qué has hecho?" ( Andrés? where's your sister? go look- Oh my god! what have you done?)

" Quería ver si su corazón aún latiría si lo sacara" ("i wanted to see if her heart would still beat if i took it out.")

my eyes widen  at his words, no this can't be Andrés. I won't believe that little innocent Andrés would do such thing, say this.

"At the time i also thought the same thing but that wasn't the truth" the moon goddess speaks waving her hand, the image disappears and we are  back to darkness. 

"that wasn't Andrés, But that was the first time he started to protect cessair" she rasps

"after that, every kill, every destruction cessair caused Andrés took the fault for"

Drui was right? Andrés isn't cessair! 

"who's cessair?" i ask

"cessair is my eldest daughter and Andrés twin," the moon goddess says

oh.

I was not expecting that. I don't even know what I was expecting but it wasn't that. When she said Rosaleen took over a certain Velazquez she meant Cessair the one who ripped a woman's heart just to see if it would beat.

No, my daughter is not like that, she will not be like that.

" except she will" the moon goddess speaking reading my thoughts. 

she waves  her hand and we're in a dark tunnel " here, Rosaleen is 15" the moon goddess speaks. I am afraid of what she's about to show me but i prepare myself for the worst .

"Rosie?" a voice comes from the end of the tunnel, it's Reuben.

"mom is worried, come on let's go home," he says

"ho- how did you find me?" comes Rosaleen croaky voice

"well, you always used to hide here when we played hide and seek as kids" he chuckles but there was a hint of panic in his voice "why is it so dark in here?"

"cause i did something bad,"

"what? did you cheat on the maths test? or compel Mr Zepy to give you a A?"

"more like i killed Mr Zepy and everyone else.." Rosaleen speaks

"no, you didn't" both Reuben and i  say in unison

Suddenly it's not dark anymore, the first thing i see is Rosaleen covered in blood and my eyes widen because she did kill them, the pile of bodies to her side must  be her maths class.

"Rosie, why would you do that?" Rueben asks shocked

"because, i- i can't explain it. I was late to class and Mr Zepy made me stand in front of the class and explain why i was late, then he gave me lunchtime detention, everyone laughed at me so i got angry-"

" and you decided to kill them" Reuben sighs

"i am a monster, it's better if you, mom and dad never see me again" she cries

"you're not a monster Rosaleen, you are a psychopath-  but not a monster and I still love you. mom and dad will always love you, you know that" he  sits down next to her and wraps her in a hug.

my heart pains for her, I hate that she is going through this. I would anything to stop her from going through this.

"M. Tulit zee genus ad peregrinandum mirum tantum adepto ut per tollebant venatores." Reuben whispers the body of kids disappear

"don't worry about it, Rosie..i took care of it" he tells her  kissing her head.

 my heart grows two sizes at how close they are.

i wonder if Cessair and Andrés were also this close once?

"between you and i this never happened okay? i will tell mom and dad that I made you skip school with me, that we were at Daniel house the whole day." 

I look at the moon goddess to see her shaking her head disapprovingly.

"are you sure?" Rosaleen sniffles

"yes, you're my little sister, I will always protect you no matter what."

Authors Note:

So basically I wanted to do a chapter where we get a look into andrés past, but I didn't want to do alot of it because I want to focus that on the next book, and I also wanted to get a little look into their future but I wanted to lay a few things out there that you guys will find out later on.
