Brotherhood

"Good morning princess" Cameron beams when I walk in, it wasn't even morning but I greet him back.

I sit down and the alpha places my usual breakfast and a cup of coffee down " wanna help me cook today?" he asks

goddess, he is in a good mood today. 

"sure?" I hesitate not wanting to burst his happy bubble but at the same time I am not good at cooking

 " but I thought after last time you wanted me to stay away from the kitchen"

Cameron gulps looking anywhere but my eyes" we have a long week ahead of us, we won't get to spend any more time together after this"

"what do you mean?" I ask confused,

just because I'm going to be mated doesn't mean I won't see him again.

" after the mating ceremony, I'm going back home to England where my pack is"

 I forgot that Cameron was an alpha of his own pack, that really sucks to be honest because I'm so used to seeing him everyday. 

" you can always visit" i frown

" i will, you and Andrés are going to get sick of me because I'm going to visit you guys every chance I get" the alpha interjected

"sounds good to me" 

After I finish my breakfast I start helping Cameron out, he lets me cut up the potatoes and other vegetables, it was a lot I was exhausted by the time I finished.

" how do you feel about doing this every day?"

"cooking?" i raise my brows

the alpha nods as he continues to mix the boiling pot " yes, cooking for dozens of alphas is not easy." 

when cameron leaves, i won't be cooking for all of them, i hope they are not used to cameron hospitality because i won't doing the same thing.

"I know" I sigh dramatically

"especially for a luna who can't cook" he grins

I throw a carrot stick at me him " we'll hire a cook or something" I shrug putting the meat pie in the oven, we had a chef back at the way-heaven pack, my mom didn't have to cook for the whole pack.

Around sunset, Iris wakes up and offers to take everything to the table while we get ready.

I had fun today even though we didn't train, Cameron and I ate lunch at the balcony, it reminded me of the first time we really talked. 

He gave me some pointers and I think the reason it took us so long to cook today was that he was trying to teach me basic cooking skills which I appreciate, to be honest.

He kept telling me that he won't  be here to cook for the pack, it's up to me to step up and be the luna the night-walkers deserve. 

I should have paid more attention Miss Benson, turns out she was kind of right and if I ever see her again I'm going to apologise.

I change into sweats and a t-shirt and make my way to the dining room, Cameron and Iris to be the only ones there. 

That's weird. where are  the alphas? they should have been here about now.

" where's everyone?" I ask, taking my seat next to where Andrés seat is.

"three" Cameron counts

"two"

He smirks "one!"

"I'm starving, what did you make?"

Chris arrives first, followed Teivel and Samael and then naois who stumbles over himself because he was staring at iris.

" how was the cave boys?" Cameron smirks pouring himself wine

"screw you" Dave grumbles taking a seat opposite me " only six more days"

he is counting down the days? that puts a lot of pressure on me, what if i can't break the curse? 

"I can taste freedom" Chris hums grabbing two baked chicken leg and stuffing it in his mouth

"gross" I hear Samael whisper to teivel who scoffs before taking a sip of his drink. The alpha dark eyes catch mine and I quickly look away. 

Teivel is the only one I haven't connected with, he thinks I'm basically bad news.

André's familiar pine and wet forest scent enters the room, I look behind me to see the alpha in all his glory, his dark hair lied flatly on his forehead, he wore just shorts, his tan skin looked smooth-

"Amma"

"hmm" I look towards the voice came from to see Chris giving me a questioning look

"are you going to join us for the bonfire tonight? or-"

"she will" Andrés cuts in sitting down

"yaay!" Chris cheers 

I turn to Andrés feeling nervous all of a sudden " hi" i smile

The alphas brown eyes pierce into me making me feel all warm inside " hi" replies handing me a plate, i didn't even see him pile it up. " dinner looks great" he adds

i blush, maybe i should help Cameron out more often.

"thank you" both cameron and i say in unison, we look at each other before bursting into fist of laughter.

"I think he was talking to his mate" iris chimes in 

I start to eat my meal, listening to Iris and Cameron bicker, "hey luna" Jake I think, calls my name "who do you think will win a fight, me or ash"

I look at ash, the alpha flexes his huge biceps "it's obvious luna Amma, " he smirks,

it wasn't obvious both of them were like 6'6 feet tall and huge, but then ash is more cocky than Jake and sometimes cockiness might be a disadvantage.

"I can't decide" I shrug

the two alphas start to argue making me smile, not because I started an argument but my wolf and I felt like we were part of the pack.

I know I have always been part of it but I never felt it, maybe because I didn't let myself, I didn't want to part of the rogue pack. And the night-walkers were not just rogues. 

The stories i've heard, they have always been referred to as an  abomination, no one has seen anything like them, a pack made out of Alpha rogues, the alpha being none other then cessair the immortal hybrid lycan.

Going back thousands of years in the history books everyone feared them, witches, werewolves and humans. They all feared this one pack- many still fear them even though they are reduced to this and stories, they are scary stories to scare little pubs into behaving. 

I get that they did awful things, used their powers to do bad. But I can't hold them against their past because each alpha had something bad happened to them to turn them into the monster they were.

I look at Dave and Naois then Cameron and Chris who were chatting quietly among themselves, one thing I've noticed is that all the alphas respected each other and treated each other equally.

And even though they were all alphas they knew who was in charge. At the end of the day the night-walkers pack was a family, a brotherhood.

That's why they are so proud to be night-walkers.

The bonfire was as large as the castle, the sparks flew well above the treetops It's dark smoke was lost in the night, grey melting into black, dulling the shine of the stars.

it was a bit chilly so i stood close to the fire trying to warm myself up. "luna"

i turn around to see Teivel holding two glass cups I can smell red wine, I was kind of in the mood to drink tonight.

He hands me one of them " don't worry, Andrés doesn't mind" he smiles

I take a sip, it's not like i'm going to get drunk off one cup. " thanks" i smile shyly before turning back to the fire.

"I have a hard time accepting people, sometimes I judge their intention before getting to know what they really are"

I slowly turn to the alpha surprised at his words "what i'm trying to say is I'm sorry for doubting you, not that my opinion counts but I think you're going to make a great luna" Teivel softly says taking a sip of his cup.

i feel a sense of pride, I don't know why but I just do " thank you, don't worry about before I understand why said what you said"

He was being protective of his pack. I get that. Also, i wasn't the easiest when i first came here, i was rude and insulted them. 

Teivel nods watching the fire " if you need anything, know that you can come to me, same as my brother but you already know that." Teivel snorts "you mean as much to me as Andrés does now"

I nod " and same to you," I tell him, this should be a two-way street " you can talk to me, anytime about anything I will be here for you not as a luna but also a friend"

"okay" Teivel nods " i'll leave you two"

Us two? what- 

" my love" Andrés breathes in my ear

I stiffen, where did he come from? not that I'm complaining. " hi" I smile turning to alpha

"what are you drinking?" he asks tapping on my glass

" wine"

"hmm," he hums wrapping his arms around my middle, his body is warm and strong I lean in close moulding our body together. 

Cuddled up we watch the fire- Well I watch the fire Andrés was watching me in a way that some will say creepy but I thought it was nice, my wolf and I liked that he watched us.

"BROTHER!"

"CODE RED, THEY'RE HERE!"

"SEBASTIAN IS HERE!"
