Always expect the unexpected

"who's Heath?"

my eyes widen.

"I'm waiting, Amma," Andrés speaks

Here goes nothing, I take a deep breath and close my eyes I don't want to see Andrés face when I tell him. " he's my fiancé" I admit

It goes quiet, so quite the only thing I could hear was my breathing. Maybe Andrés left? He is always disappearing.

I take a peak only to see the alpha at his usual spot wearing his usual blank expression which means that he is not mad, there's was no dark eyes, fangs etc...why isn't he mad?

"you're not mad" I state

" I knew who he was, I was just asking to see if you'd lie to me"

My eyes widen " you set me up-" I pause " how do you know who he is"

" I know everything Amma," Andrés says, there's a hint of challenge in his voice

I bite my lips " what am I thinking of right now?" I ask him

" the same thing you've been thinking of for the last ten minutes, the burger you just ate" Andrés Answers, a small smile evident.

I made him smile? score! He was right though, the burger was so good.

Andrés wraps his arms around my waist and I squeal surprised at the contact, next thing I know he is pulling me to his chest " it's time for bed" he says lying down on his back, I end up lying on top of him.

my cheeks heat up at our close proximity, "before when you said that eventually they always leave, what did you mean?"

As soon as I ask that I feel like I shouldn't have. Andrés is finally opening up to me, a few days ago he wouldn't have told me a single thing.

I understand that he doesn't have to tell me anything.. yet. We're at the beginning stage of our relationship? our mateship so i want to know the important stuff.

I close my eyes and rest my head on his warm chest, I could get used to this, I can't help imagine what it would be like falling asleep in his arms every night.

I'm so close to getting that, after the blood moon it's all going to be good.

Andrés and I will get to do mate things, like go on dates, watch the stars together, i sigh happily and snuggle into him more. "you don't have to answer" i whisper in the dark

I wake up to the sound of whistling, I open my eyes and turn to where the sound is coming from to see Cameron in grey jersey shorts and nothing else but that wasn't the weird part, he was going through my clothes.

"what are you doing?" I yawn sitting up

" picking out something cute for you to train in," he replies flickering clothes across the room

I sit up confused "huh?"

cameron turns around holding my black leggings, and a matching singlet " today is your lucky day, you finally get to kick my ass" the alpha smirks

my ears perk up at that "seriously?" I ask removing the covers and getting out of bed

cameron lifts a brow at my excitement "there's a catch, you'll be in your wolf form"

he sighs dramatically "I'm not looking forward to that part if I am being honest"

"I don't have to shift" I shrug "I can still kick your ass"

"that's cute" cameron scoffs " but Andrés wants me to train your wolf"

I frown at that, why did he ask Cameron to train me? I thought we had our training thing going on?

"in a matter of weeks-days actually, your wolf will become a lycan. We need to train her if she's not strong enough that could put both of you in danger" the alpha says seriously.

I am still a little concerned about the whole lycan immortal thing but i nod anyways. "okay"

"be ready in 20, Iris is making breakfast," Cameron says handing me my clothes that he picked out

"thanks," i tell him

After cameron leaves i clean up his mess and fix the bed then i take a quick shower and brush my teeth.

I put my hair in a high ponytail and practically skip to the kitchen, the smell of different kind of meats fills my nostrils.

 " what is going on" I gasp when I see plates upon plates full of meat, there was chicken, steak, sausages, meatballs.

"good morning" iris beams grabbing my wrist and forcing me to sit down " from now on, you will only be eating foods that will give you more strength, so for breakfast, i have prepared for you eggs and sausages"

I look at Iris about to object but to my surprise, she was looking back at me with wide brown hopeful eyes. I couldn't disappoint her, she had the same brown eyes as Andrés.

"shift" Cameron commands

"um, now?" I ask clearing my throat

"yes, now" he orders

he was serious, it's weird to see him this serious.

I do as he says, I don't take my clothes off though, just full on shift letting my good pair of legging shred to pieces.

cameron is nowhere in sight, I look around the clearing and nothing. I lift my head and try to sniff out his scent again nothing-

actually not nothing, there's another scent, one that didn't belong to Cameron nor Iris, one I couldn't detect. I feel my whole body warm-up, this is bad.

it is in every werewolf nature to know when danger is near and before I came here I couldn't detect it to save my life but right now I felt it.

I don't know how but I knew there was another wolf here. I circle around myself trying to decide what my next move should be, should I run to the castle screaming murder or is this one of Cameron plan, did he get a werewolf to come and trick me.

before I can decide on anything though the wolf strikes, it leaps for me and lands on top of me I fall on my back, the impact makes me shift back to my human form.

"SHIFT BACK" iris familiar voice growls

I open my eyes to see iris frame on top of me, how is that possible? i swear there's a scent-less wolf somewhere..

 " what the hell!" i yell pushing her off me.

I do shift back to my wolf form because I don't have spare clothes to be in my human form. "you can't shift back Amma, your human form is weaker, what if I was a rogue?"

technically you are, is what I want to say. 

'you'd be dead' the alpha answers appearing behind iris

'why did you disappear?' i ask through the mind-link 'you're not a good teacher you know?'

' always expect the unexpected. Be ready at all times princess' Cameron voice booms in my head

'be ready at all times' okay got it

I feel my back hit the floor again as Iris jumps at me, the pain disappears as soon as it appears but the smug look on iris face makes me want to scream in pain, this is embarrassing!

" come on Amma, you can do better then this" Iris chuckles
