Chapter 27 (Amma POV) (EDITED)

Let's give us a chance

The car comes to a stop. The time reads 7:00 am, I have been falling in and out of sleep all through the drive, Cameron kept waking me up to talk, he was so nervous that I could smell it off him.

The alpha shuts the engine off but doesn't make a move to get out, hye just sit there and squints his eyes as he looks around frantically.

Then he freezes I follow his gaze to the front and in the distant, I see red eyes before André's huge wolf appears.

"from one to ten how angry do you think Andrés ?" I ask him, biting my lips

" I would say 100-" before he can finish the sentence there's a loud growl

"well, it was nice knowing you" Cameron doors get ripped open then a furry clawed hand snatches him out.

I scream and take my seatbelt off ready to bolt but the door was locked.

oh, shoot!

I crawl to the front seat and jump out of the car, there's a loud growl and I notice that Andrés wolf had Cameron pinned to a tree but he was looking back at me.

he growls and I feel the ground shake slightly, apart of me wanted to run for the hills but the other part wanted to help Cameron.

the really stupid part of me was winning as I walked towards Andrés. "let him go!" I order.

It goes quiet for a second, the birds even stopped singing probably sensing my death. Andrés let's go of Cameron and turns to me, he's coming my way... I should probably run..

I don't move though not a single part of me moves as the alpha continues to take predatory steps towards me.

"no, Amma, no" Cameron coughs trying to sit up and but failing

I'm putting my foot down! is that the saying? I don't care what it is, I am not going to let Andrés behaviours slide anymore.

I get he is the big bad wolf but we're all wolves here, he has anger issues? big deal because guess what? we all do! he doesn't see us taking it out on other people!

" Andrés!" Cameron shouts " we went back to Amma's old pack "

what? no! why is he lying?!

Andrés stops and turns towards where Cameron was now, " Amma wanted to see her.. boyfriend?"

what?!

"NO!!!" I yell

"yes! Heath. We stopped because she wanted to look nice so I bought her the dress" Cameron blurts out,

Andrés growls as he runs full speed towards the alpha who might I mention was lying on the floor, He picks him up and flings him.

Cameron goes flying into the trees like he weighed nothing. I turn to where Andrés stood no one was there and then I feel sparks all over my body and I'm lifted from the ground.

"let go of me!" I shout struggling to get out of his grip

'sleep!'

Darkness overwhelms me as the wind start to fan my face. And just like I'm out.

"wake up," a voice says

Slowly my eyes open and I find myself staring into a dark void taking a deep breath I sit up, I touch my stomach and chest to see if I was still wearing the dress, yes I was. thank goddess! only my shoes were missing.

" I thought you left," Andrés' voice says

I jump out of my skin, my heart falls to my stomach " jeez" I heave " you scared me"

what the hell! I didn't even hear him that's how quiet he is, like a mouse!

I try to make him out, I let my wolf take control and use her senses. I make his dark tall figure standing by the window against the wall.

"I wouldn't leave," I tell him

" you wouldn't? why?"

why? um.. because first of all you'll just catch me..

" you know why"I shrug

" is it true?.. what Cameron said," he asks after a beat of silence,

of course, it is not! I don't know what has gotten into that alpha But when I see him I will fight him for real this time!

'ask him why he cares?' My wolf says

" what is it to you?"

when did I start listening to my wolf?

"what is it to me?!-" he growls but then pauses

" YOU ARE MINE AMMA!"

That catches me off guard I never expected to hear those words from Andrés, he sounded possessive, is me having a boyfriend doing this to him?

"I don't feel like I'm yours" i frown

As soon as those words come out my mouth I quickly regret it, I Didn't Mean to say it! my wolf has a lot of control over me right now!

stupid stupid stupid!

" how do I make you feel?" he asks

I scoff at that, forget about my wolf! this is all me.

The fact that he doesn't know that I feel like more of an object then his mate is crazy.

he literally told me that I'm of no use after I break the curse, that all I am to him is a curse breaker!

I don't want to feel like that to him, even if it is for a little while, I want to actually feel like his mate, it's not like I am going to get a second mate!

" You're right"

"Huh?"

I am?

yes, I am!

"Amma, you're right. and I've have been thinking alot after our kiss" the Alpha says

my breath hitches in my throat at his words, I wanted to turn the lights on so I could see his brown eyes but I stayed seated on the bed.

"I was planning on proposing an idea to you but I couldn't find you," he says, "I thought I lost you for good"

"I didn't think you cared"I frown

"me too"

" but we are fated to be together, even if I don't want to care, I do"

" What is the idea?" i ask

" I lived for a very long time Amma, before the curse when I was leading the alpha pack, I looked for you- for my mate.

I searched everywhere, pack to pack and nothing, everytime i couldn't find you i got so angry that i destroyed everything.. I was told that by many great witches that I probably don't have a mate due to my immortality"

"but here I am," I say nervously

"here you are after a millennia" Andrés gibes

I gasp " is that how old you are"

"you stop counting your age when you're as old as time itself"

my eyes widen at that, old as time itself? although I already knew Andrés is pretty old I never thought this old, in his human form he doesn't look older then 23.

" That's immortality" Andrés answers

I forgot that he can hear my thoughts. " back to what we were discussing" the alpha clears his throat

"We have two weeks starting Monday until the blood moon, after that the curse will be broken and we will go our separate... or.. we don't have to"

I was confused, is he going to keep me here?

"no, I am not going to force you to stay, I was just thinking maybe we can give this mate thing another shot"

I don't get it.

I open my mouth to tell him exactly that "amma" he irks

" if you'll have me as your mate, my wolf and I would like a second chance to prove ourselves to you"

"what?" I ask

I was surprised and shocked, Andrés wants to be my mate?

for real? and he's asking me if I would give me another chance?

I pinch my arms but I don't wake up, I am not dreaming? This is actually happening..

"I want to try and if things don't work out after the two weeks you are free to leave. we both deserve to experience what it's like to have a mate" he finishes

"I don't know what to say" I exhale

"say yes"

I have always wanted a mate, I mean what girl doesn't? I too thought I would never meet mine but I did and I too don't want to leave without trying.

Like Andrés said even if we don't work out I'll know it's not because we were both stubborn.

"okay"

"Go back to sleep, I will see you tonight" he whispers, his voice soft.
