Sorry for the long wait, everyone!  I've been very busy at home right now, and I've not been online very much.  Hope you're all excited for this chapter! (even though I left you all on a cliffhanger lol)

This part might be shorter though cause I don't have much to write here...

Why am I still talking!?  I'll just start the story now.

Serena

"W-What do you mean, "old friends"?" she stuttered, surprised and a little confused.  "Why- Who-"

"Well," Ash began, sitting down, "as you know, before Kalos, I traveled to the other regions- Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova- to enter each of the respective leagues.  You know, to work towards my dream!" he grinned.

"Like Kalos," he explained, "I met good friends, friends like you, Serena," he said, winking at her.  "I made so many friends and caught so many Pokemon, and it's been a while since I saw any of them... what I'm wondering, though, is how they knew we were here..."

"Hmm..." Serena mused.  "So that means I'm your first girl friend?" she asked him, then suddenly realized what she said.

"I-I mean, uh, not in a r-romantic kind of w-way!  U-Unless of course-" she stuttered, red as the bow on Braixen's stick, when Ash cut her off.

"Ha ha, Serena, I know you didn't mean it like that," he chuckled.  "But no," he added.  "I have made "friends who were girls"" he said using air quotes, "in all of the regions that I traveled to.  Misty and Iris liked battles... though Iris always kept calling me a kid for some reason... oh!  And there was Dawn, she liked contests and we had this awesome high-five thing... and May liked contests too, and she did them in Hoenn, just like you did!" he added cheerfully, not noticing Serena's reaction.

There's... other girls?  She felt like crying, but she kept it inside, for Ash.  They probably have better chances than me...

"Come on, Serena," Ash said suddenly, pulling her up.  "Let's go see what's happening!"

"Uh... Ash... this doesn't seem like a good idea..." Serena said timidly, hesitant to leave the tent.  Sure, she wanted to meet Ash's friends, but not like this!

"Don't worry... we won't be seen... I hope," Ash said, winking at her.  "Come on!"

Hesitantly, she followed him out into the open, where she saw a group of over 10 people standing there, questioning Clemont.  Bonnie was nowhere to be seen; she was probably doing something for Clemont, Serena presumed.  She and Ash watched as Clemont rapidly (tried) to answer their questions.

"Uh... yeah, you're right, Ash is here... but not, like, right here..."

"Where is he?  Uh... he's training his Pokemon... yeah, that's Ash alright..."

"He'll be back soon, I think!  You know Ash as well as I do, he'll probably be back for food..." the group laughed after his last comment.  Serena snickered, while beside her, Ash was not amused.  

"That's not funny!" he fumed, then looked at her.  "Hey, Serena, quit laughing!"

Serena giggled.  "Ha ha... sorry, Ash, I'll stop," she said, a grin still present on her face.

Ash rolled his eyes.  "Whatever," he said. He then glanced past her, his face melding into a frown.  "Oh boy, poor Clemont.  This is going to be hard to explain... I wonder if they'll be camping out with us," Ash wondered.  Serena's heart jumped at the thought.  Please don't let them camp over.

They told Clemont they would camp over.  

Serena groaned.

"Hey, Hey, it's okay," Ash said, trying to comfort his friend.  "They're really nice so there's really no need to worry, Serena," he added.

She nodded.  "I know," she said.  "It's just... I didn't want to meet your old friends like this," she explained, gesturing to their small forms.  "You know what I mean, right?  I just-"

Ash raised a hand and stopped her.  "No, Serena I-" he looked up, eyes widening.

"DUCK!"

Serena felt herself being pushed over as a large object almost came into contact with them.  She felt her head hit the ground with a thud, and she muttered a quiet "ow".  Her vision was blurry for a second so she couldn't see, but she could hear Ash calling her name to make sure she was alright.  When her vision cleared, she saw taht he was on top of her, repeatedly saying her name, face frowning in concern-

Wait.

Ash was on top of her.

Ash was on top of her.

Serena felt her face go hot as she realized that the love of her life was lying on her.  She felt like screaming.  She didn't, though.

"Uh... Serena...?  Why are you-" Ash broke off as he realized their position, blushing hard himself.

"S-Sorry, Serena," Ash quickly apologized, sliding off of her.  "I-I didn't r-realized and-"

"N-N-N-N-No, it's f-f-fine, A-Ash," Serena stuttered, still a little confused about what just happened.  They fell, he was on top of her, she was blushing, he was blushing-

Wait, he was blushing?

Does that mean he likes ME!?

She felt herself go red as she turned away from Ash.  This is the best day of my life!

"H-Hey, Serena!"  Ash called her, and she turned back to him.  "Ha ha, look what their doing to Pikachu!" 

Serena turned to see Ash's old friends all nuzzling the yellow electric-type.  It's probably been a long time since they've seen him, Serena thought.  It was pretty funny, though, as everyone was trying to hug him all at once, leaving the poor Pokemon being stretched in different directions.  Serena laughed when Pikachu screeched a cry for help, and Ash laughed with her.

Serena looked at him fondly.

This really is a good day.

What is/are your favourite group(s) of Ash's companions?

Hmm... for me, I'd say Kalos (obviously), and second place would be Sinnoh, since that's my second favourite region so far.
