Monday Night Raw, San Antonio, Texas
•••
A SMILE FOUND IT'S WAY to her lips as she heard the familiar sound of his theme song. Quickly covering her ears as it got noiser around her, she stood up as well as the rest of the crowd did and looked toward the ramp.
Butterflies erupted in her stomach as her eyes caught the sight of Finn Bálor, along with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. For a long time that night, she kept herself hidden from his eyes during his promo with his friends versus the dysfunctional team of Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan.
The young man tried too hard. His character was far too annoying, but she was sure he was a nice person otherwise.
As Finn and his team advanced down the ramp, she removed her beanie when noticing him scanning the arena once again.
When his eyes met hers, their souls were set on fire. It struck him how gorgeous she looked. Her skin wasn't as pale as her sisters, her eyes weren't as dark, her radent smile didn't scream crazy. She was the total opposite of Paige. Not that it mattered, but he loved it. He loved every bit of her fair skin, honey brown hair and chocolate hued eyes. He loved her flustered cheeks. He loved how her presence didn't fit with that of the fans, how she was clearly an indoor person. He loved how her happy, yet nervous smile reminded him of what innocence was.
All he could think was, she's here, she's right over there, she's right there. Everything felt worth living for, all the time he waited for her, all the hours he counted until this moment were all worth it. Nothing could tear him down at this point.
All his movements stopped while his hands blocked Luke and Karl from walking. Both looked at him questionably, "What's wrong, Finn?"
He merely grinned widely, not taking his eyes off Celine and points to her. Both men follow his line of sight until the smile upon seeing her flushed face hidden behind her hands. Adorable was one way to describe her.
Dressed in a denim button down dress and blue hoodie, the bottom part of her outfit was hidden behind the barricade.
Seth, who was standing in the ring also glanced to the barricades, grinding his teeth at the sight of her. He was surprised, yes, but didn't like the fact that she was here for another man.
Luke and Karl make their way toward her, grinning widely with open arms as the embrace her small figure over the barrier. Few fans tapped their shoulders, screaming as they did so, much to their amusement. Finn followed behind, looking down at his boots as two friends stepped aside to let him see her.
When his eyes met hers once again, his breath hitched. For that moment, the noise drowned out. They were alone in their own world, both saying their greetings without uttering a word. He smiled, rising his 'Too Sweet' sign for her to connect with. Gallows and Anderson do the same, urging her to do it.
"Too sweet!"
"Too sweet!"
"Too sweet!"
The arena cheered loudly, encouraging her to join the gang. Celine buried her face in her hands, laughing shyly as all the attention was directed to her.
His heart burst with joy the second she raised her hand, joining them, and officially joining the Bálor Club.
•••
"OH, MY GOD!" were the few words leaving her lips before she could catch herself, hands instinctively covering her mouth as she watched in horror; Seth's boot connecting with the back of Finn's head, slamming it down to the mat along with the rest of him.
"1!"
"2!"
"3!"
Her eyes were too fixated on Finn's lifeless body to notice Seth's gaze on her. She focused on Finn, instead of him, the winner of this match. She preferred Finn. Not him.
She helplessly looks to Karl and Luke, who rushed in to tend to their fallen friend while Seth and Jason quickly slipped out of the ring with their titles.
Celine felt like she was the one curbstomped. She felt like she was being punished for being so oblivious, for unknowingly hurting someone who paid more attention to her than he should have. Her heart raced in her chest, mind jumbled in thoughts as they tended to him.
"Fergal," she whispered between her fingers, tears filling her eyes, silently praying for him to be alright. This can't happen. This shouldn't have happened. The curbstomp wasn't part of Seth's arsenal anymore. He shouldn't have used it. He shouldn't have used it.
The fans around her stared at her, instead of the scene before them. They could feel the genuine concern radiating off her. Nothing mattered other than what happened to her dear friend, whom she came to see and support, despite not liking violence.
This was exactly why Celine disliked anything violent. People get hurt. People get injured. People she cares about.
Her sister got injured on multiple occasions, yet she kept coming back. Not this time. On her last match, she was out for good. Surely, Celine was relieved to have her big sister home, safe with her, but it saddened her to see her so dull and lifeless. The news of not being able to wrestle again hit her hard.
Now Finn... He was hurt. He was in pain.
"You OK?" she mouthed, gripping her scarf as she stared at his reddened eyes. More words were exchanged between them in silence as their eyes clashed. He nods weakly, smiling a bit while hanging on to Karl and Luke.
Feeling the earth spin, he shook his head, wincing at the pain while blinking his eyes. Even with his blurred vision, he looked forward, focusing his sight on his opponent. Seth, from afar with Jason, stared back at him. Both men narrowed their eyes, neither backing down.
"Let's get you out of here." said Luke, placing the dazed wrestler's arm on his shoulder as he helped him to move.
Snapping out of his daze, Finn takes one last glance at a tearful Celine, "W-wait..."
"I told you, didn't I?" seethed Seth, who had came to the barricade, glaring at the brunette. Anger brewed from within because his attempts to get Celine's attention off Finn had failed. It seemed like despite everything he did, he's going to end up heart broken because she'll never look at him the way she looked at Finn. "I'm the better man."
His eyes betrayed every word. No matter how much he tried not to feel less than another, there was no other choice than to accept reality: Celine liked Finn and there was nothing he could do about it.
Jason stood behind him, observing the girl's reddened eyes, full of tears, yet none spilled. Not for the benefit of him or Seth. Nonetheless, she still looked pretty. No wonder Seth and Finn were fighting over her, he thought to himself.
Celine gripped the barricade, rage bubbling over as she galred at him. She wondered how he felt no remorse for what he did. As far as she, and everyone else knew, the curbstomp was banned. Seth wasn't allowed to use it on anyone under any circumstances.
And the fact that he broke that rule just to hurt Finn and her pained her. But it also proved him wrong.
"You just proved that you aren't."

Technically, I wrote this scene months ago. That was the day Seth brought back the stomp. Oh, that fateful day...😭😭😭😭
It was back when I was just starting this book, I thought it was going to be maybe eight to twelve chapters and this was going to be the last one.
But then, this book started gaining views and I thought to prolong it so I saved this scene for later so I can edit it.
And I'm so glad that I did, because of how the story turned out😁
I'm not sure if you guys like it, but I hope you're enjoying the story so far💋
P.S- I'll edit this later
