Bella had called me she was arriving today, I went to her house to wait for her. I see Charlie is home. I knocked.

"Hey Allison." He smile. He was still broken from losing he's only sister. I gave him a hug. "Hi, uncle Charlie. How you doing?" I asked him. He sigh with sadness, "hanging in there." He said. "Me too. I hear Bella is coming home today. Mind if I wait for her." I asked him.

"Of course kiddo. You know this will alway be your home." He said. My heart breaks for uncle Charlie, took a seat on the sofa, looked out the window to see her. After a few minutes go by, we finally see her. Edward had dropped her off since he isn't allowed to come in. I open the door wide open. "Bella! I missed you!" I wrapped my arms around her. We laughed, we pulled apart. I took her suitcase, "here, I'll help you." We walked in the house, Edward wave bye to us, but I knew he was gonna go to her room. We went to her room, She quickly closes the door behind us. Edward was already there. They both looked at me, "okay, let's hear it." I cross my arms.

"Well it's was fun. I miss it already." She said.

"I bet." We chuckle.

"So how was Paris?" She asked me while she was putting things away. I look at Edward with a nervous face.

"Well...it's was great! Our home there, relaxing." I smile.

"Cool." She said.

"I also have something I want to share with you." I said. Edward look confuse and nervous. I chuckle.

"nous protégeons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se protéger eux mêmes" I said in french. Edward chuckles. "What...what does that mean?" Bella looks at us.

"We protect those who cannot protect themselves." Edward soft voice said. I nodded, "that's our new code." I smile.

"New code?" Bella asked. I nodded. "Yeah. We change it, I actually came up with it. So, what do you think?" I asked them.

"I like it." Edward said.

"Me too." Bella said. They smile.

"Well, I'll let you unpack. Got to get home and get ready for school tomorrow." I said. I head towards the door.

"Um, hey you want a lift to school tomorrow?" Bella said awkwardly.

"Just for safety reasons" Edward said. I roll my eyes. "Sure." I agree, didn't want to argue with them. I let her house after that, went home. I lay down on my bed, then look at frame of me and mom. I smile at it felt tears building up. Wishing she was here with me, with us.

The next day I got ready for school, waited for Bella and Edward to pick me up. I hear a car horn, see its them. our ride was quite, we pull up at the student parking lot.

"do you regret going?" Edward ask Bella.

"no, it was really great seeing my mom. just really hard saying goodbye." she said,

I know the feeling I thought.

"it doesn't have to be goodbye." he told her, she looks at him.

"Is that why you ask me to go? you thought I was going to change my mind?" she question him.

"im always hoping for that?" he smiles at her.

I put my hand on her shoulder, "Whether or not you were going to change your mind, at least you to see your mom. I just wish I could see her again." I smile.

"im sorry...I didn't mean" she felt bad.

"its okay." I whisper to her, we see Edward stares out the car window.

"what?" Bella asked him

"if I asked you guys to stay in the car, would you?" he ask us. he gets out first, we look at each other, then follow him.

"of course not." he figures. We walk towards to the school.

We see Jacob, he looks mad. he walks towards us, "hey" we greet him.

"Charlie said you left town." he tells Bella.

"yeah. To visit my mom. why?" she looks at him confuse.

Edward smirks, "he's checking to see if you're still human."

"look, im here to warn you." Jake tells Edward.

I felt bad that I didn't tell her about Emmett and Paul about to fight or me stopping it and about Victoria. I look at Edward with a nervous face.

"if your kind come on our land again..." he then gets cut off by Bella.

"wait, what?" she asked.

me, Edward and Jake stared at each other. "you guys didn't tell her?" he ask us. I close my eyes with a sigh. " just leave it alone, Jacob." Edward tells Jake. Bella turns to us.

"tell me what." she ask.

"Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding. Allison stopped them from hurting each other. Its nothing to worry about" Edward tells her, Bella looks at me with a betrayed face. "sorry." I mouth to her.

"listen to you. did you lie to get her out of town, too?" Jake tells Edward.

Edward gets in he's face. "you should just leave. Now." he warns Jake.

"she has a right to know. She is the one redhead wants." he tells him. then he looks at me, "and Allison."

"Victoria? Alice's vision." Bella comes between them.

"I was trying to protect you." Edward tell her.

"so was i." I tell her too.

"by lying to me." she tell us. she looked hurt. "I can understand him, but you Allison." she said so hurt. "I'm sorry, Bella. im so sorry." I apologize to her.

"Okay. We're gonna talk about this. But...you. Why haven't you call me back?" She questions jake. I know she's been trying to get a hold of him for days.

"I had nothing to say." He gives her a cold shoulder response. He walks away.

"Well, I have tons. Hold on." She tells him.

"Hey." Edward pulls on her arm.  "Bella." He stops her.

"Edward, you have to trust me." She tells him

"I do trust you. It's him I don't trust." He said. She slowly walks away from him, and hops on the bike with Jake.

I stand next to Edward. "She'll be fine. Just trust her, jake won't be dumb enough to hurt her." I confront him.

"I don't understand why she likes that...dog." He angrily said.

"Those two have been friends since they were little. You can't blame her, you just have to accept the fact he's her best friend. But you...you're her world. Her other half, her mate." I said.

He chuckles. "Thanks...how you been? I mean with everything." He ask me.

I left a sad sigh, "it's been tough honestly, with my mom's death. Now Victoria coming after us, me and my dad been watching our backs. Breaking up with...Thomas." My voice cracks.

"I'm sorry about Thomas." He tells me.

"It's okay." I said. We went out separate ways in school. I walked over to my locker, I see Thomas there.

"Hi." I gave him a smile.

"Hey. So I know Edward gave you a ride...so I was wondering if you want a ride home? You know after school is over." He sounded nervous.

I chuckle, "Um, thanks. But I have to stay after school. Have some class work to chase up. But thank anyways."

"Oh. Um, sure...okay. Can I walk you to your next class?" He ask.

I smile, "Sure." We walked together, we talk and laugh as we walk to my class. It was nice, just talking like this. But deep down...I still love him.

I stayed after school, I had to get everything out of the way I order to graduate with the class. I pull at my phone to call my dad, but someone called my name.

"Hey, Allison." Matt jogs to me.

"Oh! Hi Matt." I greet him.

"What are you still going here?" He asked me.

"Just finish class work for some of my class. Just want to graduate." I tell him. He chuckles, "me too. So you waiting for your ride?" He ask.

"Yeah..well I was just about to call my dad." I wave my phone.

"I can give you ride if you like?" He offend me.

"Oh no, it's okay. I'll just wait for my dad." I tell him.

"No, no. I'll be happy to give you a ride. Besides looks like it's gonna rain...again." He figures since it's forks.

I chuckle, "okay. Thanks." I thank him. We walk over to his car, in which he opens the door for me.

He climbs in the driver seat, "okay...oh! Sorry, just have to check if I got my equipment in my truck. Be right back." He gets out them car.

I see he left he's camera. I took a look at it, I know I shouldn't go through he's pictures but...that's when my heart drops.

Pictures of me at my house! Me sitting in my room, in the kitchen. Why does he have these? I felt sick, of this. I hear him walk back to the car. I quickly put the camera where it was. He looks at me confuse. Looks at the camera then me. "I'll show you how to get to my house." I nervously smile at him.

The drive was quite, we didn't say a word to each other. Thankfully we made it to my house. "Thanks for the ride." I quickly said. I grabbed my things and went inside. I quickly locked the door, shut the curtains everything with window.

I head to my room, to do the some. I turn on my lights, I scream to see Thomas there. He looks wonder.

"Your here! You need to come with me. It's important!" He tells me.

"What? What's wrong?" I ask.

"Someones been in Bella's home and yours too. We had to head over to my house with the others, Bella's already there. Please?" He sticks he's hand out. I place my hand on his. "Okay. I'll my dad to meet us there." I said.

We drove over to the house. I see my dads car there. We walk inside, I went straight to my dad.

"Hey, are you okay?" My dad ask me. I nodded.

"Emmett and jasper went to see where the scent went from after that person left the girls house." Carlisle inform me. I nodded.

"Who is it? Someone we know?" Carlisle ask Edward.

"This stranger, I didn't recognize his scent." Edward tells him.

"A nomad passing through?" Esme suggested.

"A passerby wouldn't let Bella's father alive or Allison if he was home." Rose spoke up, as she stared at the floor.

I see the boys came back a "the scent disappeared about 5 miles south of Bella's and Allison's house." Jasper informs everyone.

My dad grabs my shoulders tightly.

"Someone's orchestrating this." Carlisle said.

"Someone good." My dad said.

"Victoria?" Bella says.

"I would have seen her decide." Alice spoke up.

"Has to be the Volturi?" Edward tell us.

"I don't think it's the Volturi, either. I've been watching Aro's decisions, too." Alice tells Edward.

"So we keep looking." Emmett says.

We'll also take shifts guarding both girls houses." Carlisle tells them.

"That won't be necessary. We can handle it." My dad tells Carlisle. He's phone starts to ring. He sighs. "Go dad." I whisper to him. He leaves to take the call.

"Another protection detail?" Rose sound annoyed.

"Rose." Carlisle tells her.

No, she's right." I said.

"You can't protect me, watch my dad, or Allison, my uncle Chris and search for the intruder." Bella said.

"And for Victoria." Me and Rose said.

"And keep yourselves fed." Bella said

"I'm not leaving you here defenseless." Edward tells Bella. I quietly chuckle.

"Neither would I." Thomas spoke up looking at me.

"I don't need anyone to protect me." I tell him.

"Well, I'm not gonna let you starve. And I wouldn't be unprotected I have..." she stops.

Jacob.

I went to grab my coat, I see Carlisle, Esme walk towards me.
"Allison, we can watch over you and your father." Carlisle ask me.

I sigh, "we can handle it. Your family can watch Bella." I tell him.

"We can protect you." Esme  said.

"I can protect myself. I'm not defenseless. I won't ever be defenseless." I tell them.

I know what I said hurt them. "Look, Bella is part of your family now. You should protect her." I said.

"So are you." Esme looks at me with sad eyes.

I look back to see Thomas speaking with Emmett and jasper, I turn back to Esme. I gave her a sad smile, "I'm not."
