Chapter 7

Sadly, Len seemed like he was going to last a while, so Barry would have to be a babysitter. Great.

The only thing that was actually going well was Mick was gone. Barry didn't exactly understand why, but he was still thankful.

He was not looking forward to Lisa's visit, though. If Len scared him, Lisa was in his nightmares.

"You're funny," Len giggled. Barry covered his mouth. Had he said that out loud?

"Yep," Len confirmed. Barry sighed. This was not going well.

"Whatcha wanna do?" Barry asked. "Watch a movie," Len said. "Preferably a horror comedy."

Barry stared at him. "Are you for real?" he asked suspiciously. "Is that an actual thing?"

Len's nod confirmed it. "Check Netflix."

When Barry turned the TV to Netflix's search bar Len was proven right. One of the first options was a movie called Little Evil. Barry shrugged and clicked on it. Len cheered drunkenly, and Barry was just thankful his drunken hobby wasn't killing innocents.

"Is that really what you think?" Len asked, completely shocked. He seemed completely sober.

"Uh... Is there something else I'm supposed to?" Barry responded. Len paused the movie. "You really think I, what? Murder people for fun?"

Barry shrugged and looked down at his lap. "I mean, I don't know. Why do you kill others? Others who have a life to live, a chance to explore? They could make this works a better place, you know."

Len scowled. "Really? Who have I killed that wouldn't have just rotted away in prison for the rest of their lives?"

Barry thought about it for a minute. He realized Len was right. The only people besides that security guard that he had murdered were criminals who had killed people themselves. Or, at least, the people that had been on his record.

"You killed that security guard," Barry pointed out. "I needed to test how fast you were," Len deadpanned in reply.

Barry looked up at him. "Why?" he whispered. "Why did you do this? Why did you have to make my life so goddamn complicated?"

Len looked at him sadly. "Because I think I love you," he whispered. Barry started at him. Screw babysitting, he was done with this shit. He jumped up from the couch and headed to the door. He opened it, annoyed by unsurprised to see Lisa in the doorway, hand in the air to knock.

"Outta my way," Barry growled as he shoved past her. Lisa stared at him in surprise as he dashed away. Literally. He used his super speed.

"How the hell did you mess that up?" Lisa demanded as she walked into the room. "We had everything planned out, remember?"

Len looked down. "Guess I was too honest," he said quietly.

Lisa sighed. She was reminded of those times as a little sister that she had comforted her older when he was rejected. It had happened too many times.

"I know I shouldn't have, alright? I don't need a lecture," Len muttered. Lisa couldn't blame him, but she was still a little hurt that his first thought was she would lecture him.

He was still sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. She walked over to him, a sigh releasing itself. They didn't do physical contact, never had, which was what stopped her first instinct to lay a hand on his back. Instead, she just sat at the other end, waiting for him to break the silence.

He didn't. After a while, Lisa worried he was asleep. That's when he looked at her, his eyes desperate. "I know it been a while, but can I go to your house? I can't see him tonight."

Lisa nodded slowly. He must've fallen harder than she'd thought.

His eyes were still dry, but Lisa could see the inner fight it was requiring. He didn't hold himself at the same level as usual as he stood up as if Barry's rejection had shrunk him. He looked down as they walked back to her room, and Lisa could see the wheels turning. Mick would be there, which wasn't what Len needed right now. Or maybe it was. Lisa couldn't seem to do anything. Maybe Mick would be with some guy instead.

When they got there, Len just sat on their identical couch and stared at the black TV, as though he hoped it would magically bring Barry to him.

...

Meanwhile, Barry was at a bar, getting drunk off his ass.

He was muttering some random crap about someone named Len, though Lily was pretty sure Len was a guy and this was something about a relationship. Suddenly, Lily remembered Barry's roommate and the sexual tension. She fought the urge to laugh. Sweet, idiotic Barry had fallen for his roommate. Or maybe it was an ex?

JJ, for her part, was doing a good job with the reactions. JJ had taught her that it was best to listen to them, otherwise, they would keep pestering you. JJ even had some questions, which Barry was too drunk to answer, but she didn't seem to mind.

Lily was barely fighting the urge to run over to the hot guy in the corner. He was clean-shaven, and it looked like he had done so this morning. His brown eyes scanned the crowd. Helis gaze kept settling on her though. He was not-so-secretly checking her out, which made her fight off giggles. She was not some college kid with a crush. His hair was short like Barry's, but it was in a buzz cut instead and it was blonde. He wore a leather jacket and a smirk, which didn't turn to a blush when their eyes met. His tight skinny jeans seemed painted on, so tight they showed exactly how thin he was. Lily wasn't exactly a skinny bitch, but she wasn't overweight. Yet she seemed to be over 20 pounds bigger than this guy. It made her both self-conscious and turned on. The black leather jacket was open for the world to see his completely white undershirt. It showed his six-pack.

JJ must've noticed her look because she sighed and rolled her eyes. Barry, thinking she was still talking to him, frowned. "Lenny still won't share," he said to himself. But both Lily and JJ had attention elsewhere.

JJ's attention had been caught by the woman who had managed to latch herself to the blonde beauty. Lily couldn't help the pang she felt. She hadn't been getting laid much lately, something that was wearing on her.

"Dammit," both women muttered at once. Barry ignored them both in favor of his class which was empty when he was done with it. He ordered another one, JJ too distracted by the lady to stop him.

The lady clutching desperately at the blonde wasn't exactly short, but she definitely wasn't tall. Her short purple dress stopped a few inches before her knee, something JJ was enjoying. Her blue eyes seemed sad, which only drew in the other blue-eyed girl in more. Her pink heels somehow matched her dress perfectly. One light brown hand twirled in her hair while the other one ran down the man's chest as she giggled at something he had said.

They both sighed wistfully as they stared at the obvious couple. There went that idea.

Barry laughed suddenly. "Guess no one will love us," he cheered. He knocked two empty glasses together as a toast before chugging a near nearby third. Lily laughed as JJ groaned.

"He's got a point," Lily admitted. Even those two cops hadn't made it to the bed.

"We should love each other!" Barry giggled. JJ looked at him like he was crazy for a moment before shrugging. "It wouldn't be my first threesome," Lily admitted.

JJ laughed. "Well, let's do it now before he loses his nerve."

They pulled Barry toward his room with twin giggles. As soon as they went in, JJ grabbed Barry by the neck and kissed him, to which he responded to immediately. "Guess you're not as gay as you thought," she laughed. Barry just moved the hand that had made its way to her hips toward her ass and squeezed.

Lily growled and pulled JJ away from Barry, who let out a moanful protest as JJ growled. Lily spun her around so they were chest to chest. JJ went to nibble on Lily's ear as Lily stuck a hand down her bra and squeezed.

Barry had somehow pulled both his shirt and pants off by now and was staring at them with a firm smirk in place.

Lily pulled JJ away from her shoulder and kissed her, tongue and all.

Barry went to the bathroom, likely to grab something. But he didn't come back. JJ and Lily didn't even notice until they heard a loud crash from the bathroom. They pulled apart, still fully clothed, and went to check on him.

Barry was sprawled across the floor, snoring peacefully. He had apparently gotten bored and passed out.

JJ laughed as Lily chuckled.

"Wanna get back to it?" she asked. Lily grinned.

...

Len ended up spending the night with Lisa. Mick was thankfully out, likely with some kid, and Lisa was already asleep, so he was practically alone.

Thank goodness.

It felt like his heart had been through a shredder, the thrown in a flame, then shoved back down his throat. It felt like all the blood that was supposed to be flowing toward his heart had just disappeared, which was accurate if you compared it to Barry.

He sighed as he put his head in his hands. He sat on the couch, forcing the tears to stay beyond his eyes. He couldn't cry. Not over Barry.

As much as he didn't want to, Len couldn't help but feel like he needed to visit Barry. To make sure he was okay. To ask if it had been a misunderstanding.

He sighed. He would only get this off his mind one way.

So he pulled on his parka for courage, grabbed a drink for reassurance, and a gun for support.

He managed to drink the entire bottle by the time he arrived at his room, fighting the urge to run. He pulled out his keys but was unsurprised to find the door unlocked. He walked in, surprised by the two naked women on the couch. Barry didn't seem like the type to order hookers.

He walked past them toward the bathroom, where he was greeted with Barry on the floor. Len sighed sadly.

He knew he wouldn't stop thinking about it unless he did it, so he lifted Barry up to the best of his ability and carried him all the way across the apartment and laid him on the bottom bunk. He grabbed a stool from the closet in the bathroom and put some medicine (delivered after half an hour thanks to room service), some water, and a note down. Then he tucked Barry in with the blanket off his own bed since the girls were using Barry's.

He resisted the urge to kiss his forehead, but he stayed, watching over him like a silent guardian angel.

Except he wasn't an angel. Not even close. Which was why he felt so wrong.

Why did the Devil love God?

...

Notes: Sorry for the short chapter.

So, my ship name for JJ and Lily is Jily. Yay or nea?

Hope you enjoyed!
