Chapter 9: Sparks turn to Wildfires & The True Power of Destruction

Hello everyone. It's Clippy here with another chappy. So, last chapter Hugo and Angela kissed... let's see that aftermath~

Enjoy!

Warning: Swearing.

Both of the teens stumbled back sharing the same frightened expression. Angela tried to steady her breathing, the prince's face turning more scarlet by the second. They looked each other up and down, both of them turning and sprinting away from each other.

Tikki flew out of her dress's pocket, Angela's face currently covered with sweat. "What just happened," she breathed quickly, "did I just tell the prince I love him, and then he kissed me!?"

Tikki giggled nervously. "Well, technically!" "Not technically," Angela yelled, surprisingly not tripping while she bolted down the hallways in her heels. "I can't believe he did that!?" She yelled this, noticing the questioning tone she had used. "Are you happy?" "Isn't it wrong to feel happy!?"

Hugo turned the corner, Plagg's cackling loudening as he flew out of his breast pocket. "Shut up, Plagg!" he yelled, his face still bright red. "God, that was hilarious," he cackled, "my favourite part was when she stared at you in pure shock!"

"That's not exactly the reaction I was hoping for," he muttered, "and that was my first kiss as well." "There, you got a kiss with the girl of your dreams," -he flew in front of his face, stopping him from running further- "now, go make out with one of those girls from the selection, and get yourself a hot wife."

Hugo rolled his eyes; Angela's hot too, Plagg. The prince rubbed his temples, "Remind me, did I ask you for your input?" He finally asked. "No," he started, "but you looked like you wanted to." "Don't put words in my mouth," Hugo muttered, "I did not."

"Prince-boy is just upset that Angela didn't want to make out with him." "I'm not upset," the prince shot back, "and even if I was, that isn't the reason." "So, you're saying you wouldn't be happy if she made out with you?"

"Plagg," Hugo sighed, "shut up." "Nah," Plagg snickered as the prince rolled his eyes. "Are you happy?" The prince rolled his eyes. "Possibly." "Why," Plagg asked mindlessly, "is it because you helped her cheat?"

"What are you talking about!?" He then stopped walking and rubbed his temples. "Shit," the prince then muttered.

The palace shifted under the prince's feet as Hugo felt a small bit of dust crumble into his hair from above. "Probably another akumatization," Plagg mumbled, the prince whipping his head towards him. "You don't think that," Hugo's breath hitched, "that Angela got-"

"ARE YOU GOING TO SIT HERE AND THINK OF THAT FACT IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED!?" Plagg snapped, "JUST TRANSFORM PRINCE-BOY!" Hugo rolled his eyes, "claws out."

Black magic spun around the prince, a leather mask forming onto his face. He leaped off the railing, a spotted heroine falling beside him as he whipped his head around.

"Mini-bug," he flashed a charming smile, "'bout time you came." "Uh-huh," she shot back quickly, "I know you weren't here before." "Caught red-handed," he chuckled, both of them meeting backs as they landed on the marbled tile.

"Do you have any idea who's the new victim," Lady Rouge sighed, "'cause I have no idea." "I may have one idea," the male miraculous holder cleared his throat, "though, I'm not entirely positive." "Your guess is as good as mine," she sighed in reply.

"I believe that I'm a much better guesser than you Mini-bug," he cockily shot back. "Really," she said, feigning astonishment, "confident, are we." "It's possible," he purred, while the ladybug holder laughed.

"Okay, okay," she mustered between laughs, "back to being serious." "Of course," he put simply.

Lady Rouge rolled her eyes playfully, the destruction holder sliding out his sword slyly. He gripped the handle tightly, his eyes slitting. The king, on cue, then had walked into the room; his arms crossed.

"Well, hello again," the king smiled, "I believe that the akumatization isn't here." "The castle had been crumbling," Monsieur Noir straightened his posture, Lady Rouge tying her yo-yo around her waist.

"They may have left," Lady Rouge defended the king to the annoyance of the destruction holder. "I believe it may seem that way," Monsieur Noir noted, "but I believe that they are always where we usually are."

"Then, why are you even here?" the king scoffed. It took every ounce of strength within Monsieur Noir to hold back an eye roll, both him and his partner bursting through the grand hall doors and the gate.

"WATCH OUT!" he then yelled, pouncing onto his partner to knock her out of the way. "Keep guard Mini-bug," he groaned, stepping off of her. She huffed, crossing her arms. "Thanks," she muttered afterwards.

"Turn around miss," Monsieur Noir's tone rang with authority, "show your face." She turned around; her hair as dark as night, and lips red as strawberries. "Brielle," Lady Rouge spoke astonished. "I'm not Brielle," she shouted, "I'm Raven X, and you are going to bow down to me as if I was the queen of this saddened kingdom."

The prince sighed, "I knew this selection was going to bring horrible shit." "Oh come on," Lady Rouge muttered in reply, "we all know it's not the competition's fault." The male superheroine scoffed, "isn't it though?"

Lady Rouge opened her mouth to protest, but shut it quickly and directed her focus on the villain. She thrust her fingertips at the teens, both of them jumping out of the way to avoid the two strings of chains chasing after them.

"What are you going to do," Monsieur Noir laughed, "tie me up? I have the ability to destroy these thin metal strings." Raven X's brows furrowed, snipping two more chains Monsieur Noir's way.

"Not too shabby," he scoffed, whirling his sword in his dominant hand. "Quit the chit-chat, Mr. Noir," Lady Rouge spat, snapping into a fighting stance, "we need to get on track." "It's M. Noir, Lady Rouge," he muttered to himself. "Any bright ideas, Mini-bug?" He then asked louder.

"No," she murmured in reply, "but I'll think of something." "I'll see if I can think of anything," Monsieur Noir's breathing hitched. Raven X grew more annoyed at their constant conversation, her clenched fists tightening.

"SHUT IT," she burst, a chain whipping tightly around Lady Rouge's neck. Lady Rouge struggled to breathe, Monsieur Noir prying her free. "It's in her necklace," Monsieur Noir realized, "grab it!"

"We can't just grab it," Lady Rouge mocked, "we need a plan." "Right," he muttered, slashing his sword in front of him to block another one of her chains. "Lucky Charm!" she yelled, a small drill falling into her hands.

She could barely close the drill in her grip, looking around confused. "It's not in her necklace," Lady Rouge whispered coming to a realization, "it's in the center jewel!" Monsieur Noir grunted, "I don't think that we can hold her back enough to drill through it!"

Lady Rouge glanced at the palace, Monsieur Noir groaning. "Not again," he sighed as Lady Rouge tugged on his wrist. "You're the main part of this plan," she raised her voice to gain the attention of her enemy, "Hey, Raven X! Are you going to try and get us, or...?"

The destruction holder scoffed, "what are you-." "It's been forever! And I've been itching for an easy fight," she smiled smugly, "come over here, please~." Raven X thrust her chains at them, Lady Rouge jumped onto her partner to get him out of the way.

"Come on cat-boy," she muttered, both of them scaling the roofs of a line of houses, both of them breathing heavily. "Are you planning on telling me the plan now!? Anytime, you know!" Monsieur Noir yelled as Lady Rouge glanced at him smugly.

"You're going to use your miraculous power."

"WHAT!?" "I-I know, but you need to use it once we're in the palace," Lady Rouge bounced back to her partner. "You do know that it's going to destroy everything - possibly more, than the radius of the kingdom."

"That's not what I'm counting on," she replied nervously, "b-but your cataclysm won't be enough!" He sighed, "I trust you Mini-bug," he sighed, "please don't make me regret it."

They burst into the grand hall as the teens' skid to a stop, Raven X catching up with them. "NOW!" Lady Rouge yelled. Monsieur Noir's breath hitched, "Miraculous Monsieur Noir!"

Black energy erupted from his ring, his eyes being faded into black orbs as he got thrown backwards. The dark magic flew through the palace and the kingdom; every inch it covered being transformed into black dust before beginning crumbling on top of them all.

"Monsieur Noir!" Lady Rouge's voice was muted by Monsieur Noir's soft hearing. He felt the palace crumbling around him, but the darkness had swelled deep into his soul.

"Kitty," she dodged a piece of the palace, "please don't do this," she begged. He snapped out of it, his pupils returning to normal size and his emerald shade glowing onto it. "Right! I'm out of your way, I'm going to go save the queen and king."

Both of the partners split, Lady Rouge leaping down as the ground and dirt flew by her in black sand. "I'll take that," she ripped the necklace from Raven X's neck, retrieving her drill. She turned it on full power, praying that the castle wouldn't crumble over her.

"Finally," she whispered after a minute, the akuma flying out of the black diamond. She captured it, a white butterfly flying out as her partner called his cataclysm to rescue his passed-out sister.

"Emma!" his scream was muted by pieces of the palace quickly collapsing. He then needed to dodge a piece of black mass, leaping down to meet his partner. "Now, it's time for your half," Monsieur Noir smiled smugly, then glancing back to make sure Emma wasn't harmed.

"Miraculous Lady Rouge!"

The red ladybugs swirled around the teen's feet, lifting them upwards effortlessly as the crumbled pieces of black concrete regained their colour and faded, reclaiming their rightful places. The ground was restored as they landed on it, the magical ladybug's flooding around Emma as she woke up. She immediately scrambled out of Monsieur Noir's hands, the red ladybugs swirling around her as her dress returned to its proper configuration.

"Wow," Monsieur Noir breathed.

"Ha, we're really complete opposites, aren't we cat-boy." Lady Rouge tossed him a smile.

Monsieur Noir had to leap away since he's about to de-transform. He waved to the group of three, not hearing the quiet thank you from his little sister. He jumped down and immediately dashed into one of the rooms, as the prince returned to his normal form.

"Plagg, here," he handed him a slice of cheese, "now hush." He burst back out the room, sprinting into the grand hall where Lady Rouge was bringing the princess back onto the floor, Brielle scurrying away.

Emma hugged Lady Rouge, both the king and queen running up and hugging her tightly. Hugo smiled, walking over to his family, the red ladybugs whipping his hair slightly out of his eyes. He pecked his sister's forehead, "you can't stay out of trouble, can you."

She laughed, clinging to her older brother as he smiled slightly. She glanced up at Lady Rouge tossing him a quick smile before making her departure secretively. He sighed, his mother asking him where he was.

"Where was I?" The prince smiled smugly, "oh, nowhere."

LOL Are yall are still mad about their abrupt ending to their kiss? Hehe XD. But, Monsieur Noir used his miraculous power; no wonder they don't put that power in a kids show-

But, anyway, I hope you enjoyed and stay tuned! Have a great day/night :)
