Tw: vampire story, so obviously blood and injuries and death and all that, also some cursing

His head snapped up, victim's blood dripping from his jaws. He glared at the person who dared interrupt his feeding, the blood boiling in his veins and making his anger flare.

"We have to go."

He understood, knowing somewhere in his mind that the humans would be here soon and he could be killed if he was found, but the morsel in his arms still had some blood left. Not enough for the fragile heart in its chest to keep beating, but enough for him to get another gulp, filling up the need he always felt. No, common sense kicked in. He had to leave. He let the body crumple to the ground, the mostly empty shell hitting the ground with that familiar thud. He nodded, lept into the air, and disappeared.

Yep, I'm back with another cringey fan fiction that I'll likely delve deep into and never finish. This is probably going to be pretty short, and don't get your hopes up too high. I'm trying to avoid most of the vampire cliches and stuff, but this is still a cheesy fanfic, so we'll see. Thanks for reading!
