It was a beautiful night in the Konohagakure, also known as the Hidden Leaf village. The sky was clear, and the moon and stars were shining. It's been a year since the nine-tailed fox attacked the village, but the village had recovered nicely.

Inside of a Red and White House located not far from the ninja academy that had snake statues near the door. A fair-skinned woman in her early 40s with long raven and onyx eyes was giving a bottle to a baby boy with raven hair, round golden eyes, and skin pale as paper. Who is four months from being one year old? Her name was Kasumi Uchiha, the wife of Orochimaru, the legendary snake sannin.

"Yeah, drink all your milk, Menma," She whispered. "Hopefully, your father finishes up at his lab. He missed dinner."

'I wonder what he could be doing that taking so long in his lab.' She thought, looking towards the window.

"Looks like you are finished," She took the bottle out of Menma when she saw that it was all gone. "Now, time to get you ready for bed," She stood up and walked upstairs.

Menma reached up and pulled on his mother's hair, causing her to wince."No, Menma, we don't pull on mommy's hair," She said, walking towards Menma's room, which was on the right next to her and her husband's room.

When she arrived at the room, she opened the door with her free hand and walked inside.

The room walls were painted yellow, with red stripes. She planned to re-paint it when he got older. There was a green crib, a brown changing table, a shelf with books, and a black dresser with clothes inside.

"Alright, let's put on a new diaper and then get your pajamas on," She said, walking over to the changing table and taking off the old diaper, and putting on a brand-new one.

Once that was done, she grabbed a purple shirt with a white wolf and blue shorts with snakes on them. After changing Menma into his pajamas, she placed him in his crib and sang him to sleep before heading out and stopping at the bathroom to throw his diaper away.

After throwing away the diaper, she went to the room on the left and walked inside.

This room had pink wallpaper and yellow flowers. A white dresser, rainbow toy basket, and stuffed animals, and finally, a pink and white toddler bed.

On the bed was a two-year-old girl with fair skin, short raven hair, and onyx slit pupil snake eyes wearing a pink flower shirt and blue shorts, sitting on the ground coloring.

"Alright, color times over; Naomi, time for bed," She said, walking into the room.

"Ah, Mommy," Naomi said."Daddy home?" She asked, looking over at her mother with her big round eyes.

"No, sweetie, he seems to be still working in his lab," She replied, shaking her head.

"No stories from Daddy," Naomi frowned.

"Hey, don't frown. You see daddy in the morning," She replied, picking up her daughter and getting dressed into her pajamas.

"You promise?" She asked.

"Of course, he is always homes in the morning unless he is training Anko or on a mission, or of course, if he is in his lab researching for Danzo," She replied, tucking Naomi into bed. "Now, good night," She said, kissing Naomi on the cheek.

Kasumi walked towards them and smiled at the form of her sleeping daughter before going to check on her oldest daughter named, Kizana.

She arrived at the door four rooms away from Orochimaru's home lab home.

She opened the door and saw a girl that was five years old but would be six in a few months sleeping peacefully in bed already.

"Sleep well, my angel," She whispered, shutting the door as she saw her oldest daughter with a cuddly purple snake.

'Oh Oro, my snake. What are you doing that is so essential to miss dinner and putting the kids to sleep at 7: 30 pm.' She thought as she headed to her bedroom.

When she arrived at her and Orochimaru's bedroom, which was painted simply black and purple, at the same time, the furniture matched the wall being black and purple as well.

Kasumi walked towards the dresser to grab some pajamas when her attention was drawn to a picture on top of the dresser.

It was a picture of a five-year-old boy with pale skin. He also had short raven hair and golden snake eyes. He wore a dark red high-collar shirt covering his neck with the Uchiha symbol on his shoulder. He also had dark blue shorts. The boy was none other than Ryu Uchiha, their oldest son, who with missing one night

'Oh Ryu, where are you are? Your father and I miss you. Even if he doesn't always look at like it with that personality of his, but as his wife, I can see it.' Kasumi thought as she stared at the picture for a few minutes before grabbing pajamas and putting them on.

After getting dressed and ready for bed, she got into her bed and started to drift off to sleep.

Kasumi was sleeping peacefully in bed when a shadowy figure appeared in the room, making her shift in her sleeping.

"Huh?" She whispered.

The figure walked over to the bed and touched her forehead. Kasumi then drifted entirely back to sleep.

"I'm sorry, my Uchiha princess," The figure whispered."I love you, but sadly I just can't stay," The shadowy figure said, leaving a note under the pillow.

'I hope you forgive me one day, but for now, your snake must go.' He thought as he disappeared back into the shadows of the night.

The following day Kasumi woke up to tapping on her window.

"Hm?" Kasumi said, confused, as she sat up in bed.

She turned towards her window and saw an anbu with blonde hair wearing a fox mask.

'Hm, what could be needed from me this early morning?' She thought as she looked at the anbu outside.

Kasumi yawned and got off the bed, and walked over to the window, and opened it.

"Hey, Sora, what's up at this hour of the morning?" She asked.

"When I'm wearing the mask, it's a yellow fox," Sora said.

"Where alone? There's no need for that," She sighed.

"Oh, whatever, Lord Third summoned you," Sora stated.

"Alright, tell him I will be there soon," Kasumi said."I just need to get changed into something else."

"Sure thing I let him know," Sora replied, jumping down from the window porch or deck.

After he was gone, Kasumi shut the window na started to walk toward the dresser. She noticed a note under her pillow.

"A note?" Kasumi said, confused.

She picked it up and saw a snake print on it. "Hm, why did Oro leave a note? He usually is here in the morning. Maybe he had to leave early. "

Kasumi put the note on the dresser as she got changed to see what the Third Hokage wanted to see her for. She ended up putting on black pants and a blue shirt.

"Well, time to see what he wants," Kasumi said. "However, first need to do one more thing," She said, biting her finger.

She then made hand signs after swiping blood against the palm of his hand. A cloud of smoke them appeared, and after a few seconds, a medium-sized wolf with black wings appeared.

"You summoned me?" He asked.

"Yes, Isamu, I need you to watch the kids. Why I go see the hokage."

"Sure, leave everything to me, Isamu, the wolf angel prince."

"See you later," She said, leaving the house leaving in a swirl of leaves after putting the note in her pants pocket.

Kasumi arrived at the hokage building and headed straight toward the hokage office. While walking towards the building, she noticed people looking at her sadly.

'I wonder why they were giving me that look.' Kasumi thought.

Kasumi shrugged off her thoughts as she continued walking through the hall of the hokage building towards the office.

When she arrived, she knocked on the door.

"Come in!" An older man voiced called out.

She opened the door and walked inside to see the third hokage sitting behind the desk.

"Kasumi, you're here," The third hokage said.

"I was told that you want it to see me," Kasumi said, bowing.

"Yes, there is something I need to tell you," The Third Hokage replied.

"I see Lord Third," Kasumi said. "What if it is that you need to tell me?" She asked.

"I'm sorry to say this, but Orochimaru has gone rogue," The Third hokage said. "Jiraiya left early this morning to try and bring him back."

'So that is why everyone was looking at me like that. Also must be why he left me a note.'

"I see he gone," Kasumi said.

"I'm afraid so, but Jiraiya is doing everything he can to bring him back," The third hokage said.

"Lord third, if you don't mind, I would like a request to leave the village for a few years," Kasumi said, surprising Lord third.

"You want to leave the village?" He asked.

"Unlike Tsunade leaving and not coming back for years now before the third great shinboi war. I plan to come back," Kasumi said."I just need someway way to think and deal with the fact he left."

"Well, I understand, but what about your kids?"

"I will be taking them with me telling them to go on a bit of vacation."

"I understand, but what about preparing them for the academy? Wasn't Kizana entering next year when she turns seven?"

"Yes, I train them while I'm away. Anyway, he was. I will message Shushi's mother to see if she can stay with them until I return to enroll my two youngest."

"Alright, you have permission to go, but I expect you to come back when Naomi can enroll since she is a year older than Menma. You can continue preparing him in the village."

"Thank you, Lord," Kasumi bowed. "I will be back when Naomi is seven years old and a week before the Academy starts up. Two more things tell Jiraiya thanks for trying to bring Oro home. Also, tell Koharu-sensei I don't regret marrying Orochimaru even if he left me," She said, walking towards the door after one more bow.

"Your welcome and I will. However, eventually, you should tell your children their father left."

Kasumi sighed. "she will when the right time comes. Just like you will do with Naruto when it is time to tell him who his parents are unless you plan for Sora to do that since they're related."

"We both know Sora spends too much time working than visiting Naruto. He has been like that since Dan and his girlfriend died. He barely spent time with Minato, his younger brother, by 14 years."

"Yeah, true. There are only five of us left now from our generation. So many died in the second great shinboi war," She said, opening the door.

"Yes, it's such a shame, too," Lord Third agreed.

Kasumi nodded in agreement as she left to go get her children so they could leave for their trip.
