The Doctor's Appointment
7:46am on the Ghost...
Ezra was still asleep this morning, seeing as it was a Saturday. But, the rest of the crew, however, were all up and getting ready for a very difficult trip they were facing today. Getting Ezra to the doctors office for a checkup. He naturally hated the doctors like any human would, but he has been complaining about his knee, so the crew decided it was time to get him checked out. They haven't told him, of course, because that would just cause more problems, probably including the loss of limbs and eyeballs due to Ezra trying to escape.
"Alright, Hera, I've prepped the Phantom. We're ready to go. Got Ezra ready yet?" Sabine asked, leaning against the doorframe of the cockpit on the Ghost.
"Not yet..." Hera replied, gathering up the ropes to bind Ezra's hands and legs so he couldn't fight back when he realized where he was, and where he was going when he woke up.
"I just gave him a shot of the tranquilizer, he'll be out long enough to get him tied up and into the Phantom without a problem." Kanan said, walking into the cockpit.
"Great, why don't you two come help me. Sabine, grab that handkerchief so we can gag him. He's annoying when he's mad and trying to get out of something."
And with that, Hera, Kanan, and Sabine all headed to Ezra and Zeb's room. Zeb himself was just waking up, but he knew what was going on, considering all of them had a secret meeting last night after Ezra had fallen asleep.
"Alright, Kanan, make sure those ropes are tight. You know he's stronger than he looks. Sabine, make sure that knot isn't loose. If it is, it'll sag and he'll gnaw right through that handkerchief. You know he's like an oversized rat."
After about ten minutes of preparation, Ezra was being carried to the Phantom by Zeb, who you could tell, didn't care very much about what he was doing.
Ezra's arms and legs, and even his head were being bumped on things.
"Zeb, be careful!" Hera scolded.
"Why? We're takin' him to the doctors, anyway!" Zeb pointed out as he dropped Ezra in a seat, then proceeded to take his own next to Ezra.
"Alrighty, everyone here?" Kanan asked, turning in his seat at the front the ship, checking off his mental checklist. Chopper, Hera, Zeb, Sabine, and Ezra. All there.
"Alright. Off we go." Hera said, walking up and shutting the hatch.
And with that, they were off.
About thirty minutes later...
The tranquilizer was starting to wear off, and Ezra had almost completely woken up. He looked around, confused why he was tied up. At first he started to freak out, thinking he had been captured, but when he saw the crew all there, he started to piece everything together.
"AH OCER?!" {translation- "THE DOCTOR?!"} He screamed through the handkerchief.
"Sorry, kid. You wouldn't have cooperated otherwise." Kanan said from his seat.
Hera, who was sitting across from Ezra, put a hand on his knee. "You'll be fine. It's just a checkup, and to have him look at your knee."
The rest of the trip was silent, nothing but very, very cold glares from Ezra.
When the crew finally landed, they were trying to figure out how to drag Ezra to the doctors office and not look suspicious, due to his restraints.
Zeb stood up first. "Alright. I'll throw him over my shoulder and we'll run."
"No, Zeb," Hera said, slapping his arm. "that will look even more suspicious then him walking with the ropes."
"Oh yeah, that's true." Zeb replied.
"We can throw him in a sack." Sabine suggested.
"No, because then he'll kick and that will look suspicious too." Kanan replied.
"AKE ISH OGH" {Translation- "TAKE THIS OFF"} Ezra screamed through the handkerchief.
Kanan rolled his eyes and ripped it off of Ezra's mouth. "What?"
"MAYBE IF YOU HADN'T DRUGGED ME AND TIED ME UP, I WOULD HAVE COME WITH YOU WILLINGLY" Ezra screamed.
"Oh come on, we all know that's a lie." Kanan retorted.
Ezra rolled his eyes. "I'll walk there myself. Untie my legs."
The crew exchanged glances as Sabine went to untie the ropes.
"Don't think you're running away." Sabine said.
"Wasn't planning on it." Ezra replied.
"Oh really?"
"Nope."
"You swear?"
"Yup."
"So you're not going to run when we get outside?" Sabine said, undoing the ropes around Ezra's hands next.
"Nope." Ezra replied.
"Okay." Sabine said, taking off the last ropes and helping Ezra up.
Hera opened the hatch. "Okay, the doctors office is just down-"
"I'M NOT GOING TO THE DOCTORS" Ezra screamed, jumping over everyone and bolting out of the Phantom.
"BRIDGER!" Hera screamed, chasing after him. "GET BACK HERE NOW, YOU LITTLE LIAR!"
"I HAD MY FINGERS CROSSED" Ezra shouted back, jumping on top of a building.
"YOU KNOW WHAT, FINE! FINE." And with that, Hera took out a tranquilizer gun and aimed it at Ezra.
When Ezra noticed she had a dart gun, he dropped flat onto his stomach so she couldn't hit him.
"THAT'S CHEATING!" Ezra screamed.
"SO IS FINGER CROSSING!" Hera replied.
"WELL I'M NOT COMING DOWN."
"WELL I'M COMING UP!" Kanan shouted, grabbing the dart gun from Hera and jumping onto the building, landing right in front of Ezra.
"Oh... Uh, hi, Kanan..." Ezra mumbled, slowly getting up and getting ready to jump.
"Oh, no you don't!" Kanan said, shooting Ezra in the hip with the gun.
"NOO" Ezra screamed, pulling the dart out of his hip and throwing it. But it was too late. Ezra was stumbling backwards, trying to fight the sleep that was approaching quickly.
Kanan caught Ezra before he fell off of the side of the building and he slung him over his shoulder.
"Doctor time."
And with that, Kanan jumped off of the building and walked towards the office.
•••
When Ezra woke up, he was laying on a chair/bed with tissue paper over it. When he took a deep breath and realized where he was by just the smell, he started to freak out. He hated the small of the doctors office. It smelled too clean. To sterile. And the tissue paper that they put on these weird chair bed things didn't help his thoughts go to happy places. He always had the worst ideas of why the paper was there. Granted, he probably shouldn't have read all of those stories about psychotic doctors that did deadly proceeders on innocent patients when he was younger.
"Ah, good. You're awake."
Ezra's head snapped to the side and he squinted under the bright light.
"Who are you?" Ezra asked, trying not to sound scared.
"I'm Doctor Webber. I was waiting for you to wake up before I proceeded on the checkup, so you could tell me about your knee."
Ezra glared at the doctor for a minute. "You mean you already started?"
The doctor nodded. "Your family told me to while you were asleep, they said it would be safer." He motioned towards the rest of the Ghost crew when he said "family".
Ezra turned his head to where the crew was sitting and glared at them.
"You're all jerks."
"Thanks, that's our specialty." Kanan replied.
Ezra rolled his eyes and he looked back at the doctor.
"Well, how did you hurt you knee?" The doctor questioned.
"I was running." Ezra replied flatly.
"Did you do anything usual while you were running?"
"No." Ezra crossed his arms.
"Does it hurt when you bend it?"
"Yes. And when I walk and run."
The doctor nodded and took Ezra's leg in his hands. "Well, I know what's wrong with it. You just popped it out of place. It happens a lot. This might hurt just a bit," he said, not giving Ezra time to reply, he quickly popped Ezra's knee back into place as he bent it.
"OUCH" Ezra screamed, yanking his leg away. "THAT HURT!"
"Well, I did say it might hurt," the doctor replied. "Does it feel better now?"
Ezra stood up and walked around for a minute. "Yeah, it's better now."
"Good, just be careful when you run for the next week or so and you'll be fine. Have a good day." And with that, the doctor left the room.
"And you didn't want to come." Kanan said. "But now that your knee is all better, do you have something to say to me?" He said, smirking as he crossed his arms.
Ezra smiled and walked over to Kanan. "Yeah, actually, I do." And with that, Ezra punched Kanan in the stomach.
"Now I'm better."
A/N- AYE I ACTUALLY UPDATED WHEN I SAID I WOULD WOW THIS IS RARE AND I MEAN WHO NEEDS TO DO HOMEWORK ANYWAY HOMEWORK IS A WASTE OF TIME
*she says as she rushes to finish homework*
anyway, I hope you guys liked this chapter, I've been working on it since the last time I updated😂
I thought this might be a fun concept, since I'm pretty sure everyone hates the doctors office because needles and sticks that they shove down your throat as you say "AHHHHH"
I hate the doctors (and hospitals) mostly because I've been to them more than one human should have been in their lives, (broken arm, broken thumb, broken collar bone, cracked head😂)
because I'm the daredevil of the family and they can't stop me c:
well I'm sorry this chapter is kind of short and choppy, and not very well written, I'm still recovering from writers block that lasted a yEAR *WHEEZING LAUGH*
sorry I'll stop with the New Years jokes now
well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter anyway, and I'll try to have a new chapter out by next week. :)
Bye guys!
