Chapter 4

Storm immediately locked herself in her room once she got inside, trying to avoid Bryan and his questioning since he insisted on trying to force her to tell them about the lab. She didn't want to tell them about it, it was too painful to talk about.

Hell, even thinking about it sent her into a fucking panic attack.

She slid to the floor with her back against the door, pulling her knees into her chest. Her breathing hitched, and soon after that, the flashbacks started.

Dr. Embers threw open the door to a cell, looking around for the 9-year-old occupant. Storm, or Skylar at the time, was hiding under the bed, tears in her eyes at the realization that she was in trouble for trying to fly out of the lab. She knew that once he caught her, he wouldn't let her go until he was done with his punishment. She tried to sneak out through the door, but he turned around too quickly for her to get out unnoticed, and his voice echoed around the cell.

"DON'T YOU RUN FROM ME, YOUNG LADY!" Dr. Embers grabbed her by the hair and yanked her back, drawing a scream from her lips.

"NO! LET ME GO! I'M SORRY, I WON'T DO IT AGAIN! I PROMISE!" She pleaded, but it fell on deaf ears.

"I'll teach you not to run away from me! I'll give you a lesson you'll never forget!" Dr. Embers immediately slammed the cell door shut and dragged her into the center of the cell, pinning her under him.

"No- Please, NOT AGAIN!" Storm begged, but once again, it fell on deaf ears.

"You'll never forget what happened here today, and if you ever try anything like your little escape again, you'll regret it!" Dr. Embers ripped her shirt off, forcefully, tearing it in half.

"I'm sorry! Please, just stop this! Don't do this to me again, please, just let me go!" As soon as the plea left her mouth, Storm felt a hand cover her mouth, and she struggled to pry it off.

"Little bunny," Dr. Embers started. "I just can't do that." Dr. Embers quickly pulled her pants down before pulling off his own with one hand. Storm began to panic. She was terrified.

All she felt was pain as he forced himself onto her, and helpless as he kept her still while he did so.

Storm immediately gripped at her ears, covering them with her hands to block out the sounds that arose with her own flashbacks. The sounds of her muffled screaming, Dr. Embers yelling at her to shut up, and his own pleasure at her fear and pain. She cried out, both in the sounds she tried to block out, and out loud, which drew the attention of the people standing right outside her room, the people she couldn't hear calling to her over the sounds from her flashbacks. It all felt and sounded so real, as if it was happening around her.

"No- MAKE IT STOP- SHUT UP, PLEASE!" She cried, her voice echoing around the room.

"Storm!?" Blake immediately unlocked the door and swung it open, the door opening outwards instead of inwards since it was on backwards for whatever reason.

"STOP IT, PLEASE! I DON'T WANT THIS...!" At that moment, Kat and everyone else outside of her room knew that something was wrong, and they needed to help her out somehow. The only issue was, they had no idea what was wrong or what had caused it.

Although Kat and Davis could take a guess.

"What could've caused her to start freaking out like this...!?" Blake tried to calm Storm down as Kat and Davis shared a look. Then Davis was the one to answer Blake's question.

"... Bryan. He was pressuring her into talking about something she didn't want to talk about. She said it was too painful for her to talk about, and now I see what she meant by that." Davis clenched his hands into fists, and Blake held onto Storm tightly, trying to calm her down.

"Why would he do that...?" Fyre was with the group by Storm's room, and so was another member of the group staying in Alpha Haven.

He had brown hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. He had a diagonal scar across his right eye, one that luckily didn't pierce it, just went across his eye lid. He had gotten it in a fight with a lab worker from the exact same lab Storm had been in, although neither of them met each other until the apocalypse began. His white jeans had rips in them right on his knees, and an open red jacket partially covered his aqua blue shirt, which had a darker blue heart in the center of it. Because his jacket was unzipped, you could see that his shirt was beginning to get grimy from months of wearing it, not having any other outfits to switch into.

"I don't know, Fyre, but obviously, he didn't care if it was too fucking painful for her to talk about! Hawke, can you help Blake calm her down, or are you and Fyre just gonna stand there and watch!?" Hawke just gave Davis a look.

"I don't know how to- You know what? Fine. I'll try." He walked over and knelt next to Blake before gently looking into Storm's eyes. "Storm? Can you even hear us?"

"Make it stop- Make it stop- I don't wanna live through this again, make it stop-"

"Take deep breaths." Hawke showed her what he was talking about in case she couldn't hear him, which just so happened to be the case. She mimicked what he was doing, until she eventually calmed down, and the noises stopped. "Better?"

"... Yeah..." Storm looked at the ground. "... I... I didn't want you guys to see that... That's why I locked myself in..." Her voice trailed off, and it was clear that she was done talking.

"Okay... Okay, we need to know what caused it..." Storm didn't answer Hawke, and he just sighed. "It's the only way we can stop this from happening again-"

"I have PTSD from the guy Davis, Kat, Bryan, Xisuma and Evil X had to meet before we got here, him and his fucking lab, okay!? Are you happy!?" Storm quickly stood and glared daggers at Hawke.

"What guy, and what lab?" Blake looked to Davis and Kat for an explanation.

"Some guy she called... Dr. Embers?" Hawke's face darkened, and he sighed, understanding exactly what Storm was talking about.

"You were the 9-year-old he stole from an orphanage." Storm's face immediately turned from an angry glare to a shocked expression. "The one he kept hurting in... many different ways. Physical... Emotional... Sexual..." Storm began to tear up. "You're her, aren't you?" Everyone looked at her in shock, and she just nodded.

"I don't wanna talk about... Him anymore, Hawke, please..." Hawke sighed.

"Alright-"

"How did you know that, though?" Kat introjected, and Hawke turned to her before sighing.

"Because... I was in that exact same lab, just 2 cells across from her."
