Chapter 1
The first sign of the zombie apocalypse was an announcement on the radio. Americans got the emergency broadcast first. The virus seemed to start in Pennsylvania, in State College. The symptoms started off as just initial nausea and vomiting, then quickly escalated to blurred vision, loss of muscle control, and unconsciousness, then turned into the infected persons becoming zombies, or Walkers as most people later took to calling them.
Not everyone survived, and the infection inevitably spread to the rest of the world. Starting in the US, it made its way to Canada, then the UK, then the rest of Europe and Eurasia, until finally everywhere in the world was covered in Walkers. Everyone in the world had gotten the announcement at different times during the outbreak, and they didn't realize that the outbreak was worldwide once they got their announcements. Of course, panic began to set in, but each royal or government leader began to evacuate their respective countries.
Most people were lucky to make it to the evacuation points, while others were still stuck in the country.
Most of the evacuation planes and ships made it to America while others were lost at sea.
Most of the evacuees survived, while others died or were turned upon arriving in America.
All in all, the apocalypse screwed over the entire world, having fucked over many of the evacuees, and many of the American residents, in particular.
Of course, the American government might have inadvertently caused the apocalypse to begin with by allowing a lab to use the virus on human test subjects. They won't admit that they did it, but it is kind of their fault. Small groups were beginning to form after the start of the apocalypse, some of them from the refugees, others from the citizens of whatever towns and cities they were in.
Zombies all that changed with the start of the apocalypse, though. Before that, the exact same lab, which had testing sites all over the world, was using human volunteers, willing or unwilling, in special kinds of testing. Some gained wings, others gained weird abilities, which the lab designated "admin powers."
But that was only because they had found out about the supernatural existence before they began the experiments. These test subjects appeared human, but they weren't human. They hid these changes from the rest of the world due to the experiments and people not understanding.
So for all anyone knew, they were still human. That was how it would stay, even in the apocalypse.
At least, that's what they all hoped. But that's for later down the line.
The apocalypse is at hand. Can anyone survive?

"Storm, are you with us?" A male waved his hand in front of Storm's face, snapping her out of whatever daydream she had been having. She blinked, her blue and purple eyes slowly turning her face from a confused gaze to more of a guilty look.
"Sorry... I was zoning out again..." There was a hint of shame in her voice, one that wasn't particularly noticeable at a first glance. She looked down at her pale hands before letting them drop to her sides. She was so pale that she could be mistaken for a Walker at any moment.
Hell, that's exactly what happened when she first met her group.
A brunette with brown eyes wearing a red jacket, dark gray pants, gray shoes and a white shirt was walking around, two other people walking next to him. One of them was a girl, a shorter one, with red hair and green eyes. She wore a black shirt, dark gray shorts, black net leggings, and black boots with a bow in her hair. The other was a male with brown eyes, black hair and a beard. He wore a classic suit, despite the weather and the fact that they were in a zombie apocalypse. They were searching for supplies that they needed to survive, as well as a safe house to stay in, when they found someone hiding in one of the chests that they had been searching.
It was a girl, a girl with blue and purple hair, and skin so pale that she almost looked like a Walker. She wore a blue beanie, a white hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers, Nike brand, to be precise, as well as silver rimmed glasses. They couldn't see her eyes because they were closed. She was small enough to fit into the chest, but she had locked herself in by accident, so when the brunette and his group found her, she was barely alive, and it scared the shit out of the brunette, who thought she was a Walker that was killed and stuffed in a chest.
"AH, WHAT THE HELL!?" He screeched, drawing his friend's attention. They immediately ran over and took a look.
"IS SHE DEAD!?" The other male in the group slowly checked for a pulse just to be sure, and he immediately jumped back when he found one.
"How the FUCK IS SHE ALIVE!?" He screeched. The girl in the chest slowly curled up in her sleep at the sound of the yelling, and the other girl got her out of the chest before laying her down on the floor. "KAT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
"She needs our help, Davis!" Davis groaned before looking at the brunette, Kat doing the same. "Bryan, can you go grab some stuff I can use to help her?"
Bryan hesitated, before nodding and running off, coming back with the supplies that they had gathered and piled into a backpack. He started sifting through all of the supplies until he found food, bandages and medical supplies. He quickly handed them all to Kat, who gently sat up the girl they had gotten out of the chest. She helped her eat and treated any wounds she had, luckily none of which were bites.
Soon enough, the girl opened her blue and purple eyes and looked around at everyone around her, only to yelp and back herself away from them, her eyes lighting up in fear.
"Hey, hey, calm down, we aren't gonna hurt you." Kat soothed, but the girl backed herself into the corner by the chest. She was clearly scared out of her mind, and she didn't know if she could trust the people around her. "It's okay."
"No- No, it isn't-" She buried her head in her knees, and Kat slowly walked over to her, pulling the girl into a comforting hug.
"My name is Kat; my friends and I are gonna help you. What's your name?" The girl shook her head. "It's okay, Bryan and Davis aren't gonna hurt you, and neither am I."
"I... I'm scared... I got s- separated from my boyfriend after the Walkers attacked our camp, I- I can't find him, I- I just- I want everything to go back to normal..."
"We all do..." Kat comforted the girl, rubbing her back in circles. "We'll help you find him if he's still alive. What's his name?"
"It... It's Ben..." Kat could barely hear her from how soft her voice was, it barely carried because of her whispering.
"His name is Ben?" She asked for confirmation, and the girl in her arms just nodded. "Okay... Okay, what's your name?"
"S... Storm..." Storm just curled up as much as she possibly could, and Kat gently uncurled her.
"Don't worry," She began, the confidence in her voice bringing a spark of hope to Storm's heart and a smile to her face. "You'll be safe with us."
Davis sighed softly as he started looking around the area for any signs of Walkers.
"You gotta stop zoning out on us." His voice was stern as fuck, and hearing the tone in his voice, Storm slightly flinched and shrunk.
"I'm sorry- I was just thinking about what happened last time I saw Ben..." Kat slightly elbowed Davis as Bryan grabbed her shoulder, turning her to face him.
"We'll find him, Storm." He gave her a reassuring smile. "I promise."
Before Storm or the others could react, Bryan, Kat and Davis all found themselves in a hole in the ground, while Storm was stuck in a net hovering above the ground.
