You're a beautiful little witch.
Thalia.
She was trying, goddess she was trying not to make an absolute fool of herself, something about Amon made her restless, made her stomach knot and her nipples hard, defining sex on legs was this man, man couldn't even cut it, he was beautiful. "What is your name little one?" He questioned as his gaze turned from stoic to soft looking at her, his voice was intoxicating. "Thalia." She replied trying to find her perfect composure, only a week and a boy was making her knees weak.
"A beautiful name, where did you previously live Thalia, you're new to the school." He asserted and the more his question was apparent, the more she realized he was finding interest in her, somehow that made her uneasy and giddy at the same time. "PineWood pops decided to move and here we are." She replied honestly trying not to seem like a fool drooling, Amon was tall, like vampires he was mysterious, his features were sexiest man on the planet worthy. "Amon I'm sorry to be brash, but we do need to discuss what happened last night." She finally stated realizing she had to do this for Roman.
Roman had agreed for them to talk because he knew Amon was strong and she was safe with him, but being with the vampire now sitting a park bench all they were doing was him asking questions. "We will get to that in a moment little one, I must know you, you're captivating." That statement made her feel like a lot of girls have heard it before. "What's the usual response when you tell a girl that?" She snarkily retorted and the vampire smirked. "They usually swoon even more, but you are rather not impressed." Damn right she wasn't, he was gorgeous but there wasn't any reason to use cliche pick up lines on her.
"Fine, dare I say it, you are different, but none the less gorgeous, do you like rugby, I have a game coming up and I would like it if you came." That sounded like an invitation, would she even want to go, did she want to. "I will think about it." She responded and the vampire chuckled. "You mean you'll ask your little coven leader for permission." He mused but that wasn't funny. "I don't need permission from Roman, most likely I would just inform my parents and him of where I will be, he's my friend, even though I've known him for a week." Her defense seemed to have made an impression on the vampire, he turned around as his eyes turned a blood red with a ring of gold, of course, he had to be a hybrid.
"I like your spirit, and I'm glad you don't follow him mindlessly, though lately, I see that he's more relaxed and happier." Amon asserted and this was a piece of information Thalia had grabbed but couldn't understand, what exactly had happened to Roman which the leaders seemed to know but wouldn't say. "He will tell you in his own time." Amon commented as if reading her thoughts, of course he would tell her, he understood somethings were just hard to speak of. "I know." Thalia mumbled looking at the gentle sway of the trees in the wind.
"The witches were the ones that attacked?" Amon finally questioned looking at her with somewhat a smile. "Yeah, they claimed it was neutral territory and no one would know, they were the ones that instigated the fight, we aren't clear on the why, the reason why Roman wanted to meet up was because there is one of yours at his house, we saved him and we hoped he would have information for you." Thalia explained the whole thing as Amon seemed to take in every word she said, at least she hoped he was taking in every word she was saying.
"Alright, I will go to his house later, care to send him a fire message of that." Amon replied with a half smile that made her wonder what exactly the vampire hybrid was up to, she drew the burning letters into the air and sent the message to Roman, hopefully it would reach him in time. "So tell me about yourself, Thalia?" That one direct question made her feel a little unprepared, it was random. "Um, only if you'll tell me about yourself." She bated the vampire who smirked at her response.
"That should be fair, little witch." The way he said that made her body react differently, she needed to get a grip on herself. "I like gardening, hanging out with my brothers, and baking with my dad, I love practicing with pops." She replied honestly, that's who she was. "Hmm, your family seems interesting, we don't have that in common, I like rugby, painting, and taking my dog out on walks the lazy barker never exercises." Amon replied but his response made her question if the man even liked talking about his siblings or family.
"Any siblings, I have two and another one on the way, or maybe friends." She offered knowing full well she was fishing, yet somehow in that mix she wanted to know more about Amon, he was captivating in a way. "I have a sister and two brothers but I'm only close with my sister, I'm not the eldest though it may seem that way, I love my sister." It seemed to Thalia that the man never talked about his family, even he registered what he had done and it seemed to surprise and please him, thank her dad for showing her how to read emotions easily.
"That's interesting and I'm sure she loves you too." Thalia added and the vampire half smiled, something told her, he barely smiled, they continued talking on that bench, music, sports, games, and anime all went into that mix, she got comfortable with the person Amon was, not the Amon people made up, he cracked jokes but barely smiled but that was okay, sitting at that bench all afternoon made a weird feeling sprout in her chest, was this what it was like to go beyond having a crush for someone, it had been easy to talk to Amon, moving wasn't as bad as it seems, it was turning out better.
"It's getting late." Amon pointed out as the sky was turning red and pink, indeed it was and Thalia was now feeling cold. "I guess it is." She accepted with a deflated stance. "Don't look so unhappy little one, we can still talk but you need to get home, I'm sure Roman has told you that you fight when the trouble knocks on your door." Amon recounted making her nod. "Then you should listen to him, I wouldn't want to put you in danger, I want to prevent it beautiful." He explained and that explanation somehow made her cheer up.
"Come." He held out his large palm for her, he was really tall and even in her heels she reached his upper torso, he walked her to her car and opened the door for her. "I will meet with your coven leader and fix whatever Kev and Lena are starting up, then I'm sure I can charm you into a date." The vampire exclaimed making Thalia blush at the end of his statement, goddess he was a charmer, he placed a kiss on her forehead. "Thank you, Amon." She mumbled and slipped into her car, it still had the new car smell.
She reversed away from the parking lot with a smile, she hoped this date would happen soon, it had been a while since she actually had a conversation with a boy and it didn't end up with her being groped, it was nice for once to just interact with a boy and not feel like he wants to devour her, she liked Amon, goddess she liked him, she couldn't wait to tell her dad. Something about Amon's statement clicked in her head, were Roman and her new friends a coven, why did Amon refer to them as one and Roman as the leader.
She knew she would have to ask Roman later since his house was a little ways down the street from hers, after driving from the park she made her way home easily, parked her car in the garage, and got into the house through the kitchen. "Someone is glowing." She whipped around to see Allen and Alyssa at the breakfast bar tasting chocolate swirls and her brothers on the lower dining table practicing. "Hey sweetheart." Her dad greeted walking into the kitchen. "Allen and Alyssa just got here they wanted to bake with me." He informed her and her smile was wider.
"Hope you don't mind." Allen offered with an apologetic smile, she didn't mind at all, she never had friends over before since they had to hide magic three quarters of the time, this was a welcomed change. "Not at all, I'm glad we get to bake with more people." She explained and tossed her bag on dining chair, Allen and Alyssa cheered as her dad handed out aprons, this was all new to her but she didn't hate it, she was appreciative of it, PineWood, she never really fit in, but here and now she was, with people that didn't hate her or judge her because of her family.
"So are you going to tell us what happened with Amon?" Alyssa questioned when Allen had left the kitchen to help her brother, only her dad was there and he whipped around when the name was mentioned. "Start talking." He was already fangirling but he wouldn't be her dad if he didn't do it. So she spilled the details, spilled everything to her friend and dad, after she finished they had grins on their faces. "I'm so happy for you, he sounds nicer than people make him out to be." Alyssa commented and she nodded in return. "I like him already, but just make sure you tell your papa, you know how he gets when boys hang around his baby girl." Her dad commented with a meaningful smile.
Oh dammit. Her dad was cool because he understood easily, the man of the house not so much, pops was going to be hard to convince when she told him that there would be a prospective date with a vampire hybrid, she only hoped for the best, better start saving the kicked puppy dog look. "Thanks, dad." Thalia offered and the man nodded with a smile, the evening went on with more laughter and baking, she was finally happy to be in an environment that seemed to promote her happiness over just living, though somewhere deep down she wondered what the witches were planning framing the vampires, what was their aim.
