Disconnected
Xornoth's Perspective-
Xornoth's parents had chatted with Jaxon's for a long time before they decided to go to The Lost Empire to talk to Joey.
Just survive, you got this. You'll get home and wake up and this will all be a dream! Xornoth thought before sighing, the fuzzy memory of him attacking Jaxon and Joey replaying in his head.
They arrived in The Lost Empire and Azar let them speak to Joey.
"He's been acting strange. He also got this new crown that he said he found." Azar said, walking Xornoth's family to the Sun Temple where Joey was.
Joey saw Xornoth and smiled, hugging him.
"Hey Xor-Xor! Thanks for the crown! You were right, it fits me well!"
Xornoth's eyes widened, and he leaned back from the hug, blushing a bit.
"I'm sorry?" He asked, and Joey smiled, blushing.
"You know, the crown you gave me? You look really cute by the way."
Xornoth's parents looked confused, and Xornoth saw tiny red shards in Joey's eyes.
Xornoth then got a spiking headache, causing him to wince.
"Oh my cod, are you okay? Here come in I'll take care of you." Joey said, grabbing his hand and dragging him inside.
Xornoth was confused at why Joey was acting this way, and he felt a pit in his stomach, worried that the demon had something to do with this.
"Joey, we need to ask you something." Wallis said, following the boys.
"What is it?" Joey asked.
"What happened last night? Did Xornoth come here?"
"Yeah! He gave me this crown."
Wallis hummed and nodded.
Xornoth noticed Scott glance at him, and he nervously fiddled with his hands.
-
Xornoth was in his room when someone knocked on the door.
He opened it and saw Scott.
"What?" Xornoth asked, raising an eyebrow.
Scott seemed to be shaking a bit.
"You stole the crystal, didn't you?" He asked in a quivering voice.
Xornoth's eyes widened, and Scott looked at him with fearful eyes.
"I- I didn't mean to alright? It sort of just fell into my hands." Xornoth stuttered.
"Fell into your hands? What did you do? You're working with the demon, aren't you?" Scott asked, looking Xornoth up and down and glaring at him.
Xornoth scoffed, "Wow, way to accuse me. You're starting to sound like Jaxon you know."
"Well you almost killed him! I- I don't want to think you did, but after Joey was being so weird around you, how can I not?"
"Seriously? You're on Jaxon's side?"
"Y-you're a danger to our kingdom! To...to our family!"
"It just fell into my hands, alright? I'm not working with- "
"You must've broken it! It couldn't've just happened!"
Xornoth growled and shouted, his eyes turning into a venomous red. Corruption grew in a circle around him and poison surrounded Scott.
Scott gasped and stumbled back.
Xornoth huffed and took a deep breath, calming down.
Scott opened the door and ran out.
Xornoth realized Scott was going to tell their parents what had happened, and he quickly snapped out of it, trying to untangle his ankles from the corrupted plants.
"Scott- wait!" Xornoth shouted, his voice cracking.
Xornoth fell to the floor, watching as Scott ran downstairs.
Xornoth started to cry, feeling hopeless.

You don't realize how bad things are until one of your bestest friends starts to doubt you and leave you.
Then it all hits you and you know that things aren't just a dream.
Everything that's happening is real.
And it's because of you that things are shitty right now.
Scott, my bestest friend, one of my biggest pillars to lean on,
believes I'm a danger and probably won't speak to me anymore.
I'll probably be locked up until the demon leaves.
or maybe he'll just take over me completely.
Whichever happens first.
And at this point, the second one sounds like the better option.
