OVERALL SCORE
Title: 5/5 (+2)
The Title of the story tells you what type of story its going to be. I also give it a extra two points for the font of the book featuring blood helping the reader understand the tone even more.
Cover: 5/5
Like I said, the title is excellent and the cover gives off a evil Slasher set in a dark forest which is always wonderful. It was very well edited
Story: 10/10
Although its not the most Original story in the horror genre with a generic setting, The execution gives familer vibes to Friday the 13th and The Cabin in the Woods which saves it from being deducted from a few points (in this category)
Blurb: 5/5
The Blurb along with the storyline is excellent. The whole book brings back memories of the Friday the 13th series.
Character Development: 15/15
The Characters didn't really start likable but as the story went on, everyone (that wasn't killed right away) became strong, more willing to work together and more resourceful.
Creativity/Originality: 13/15
I hate to deduct points but I have to take two points away due to it not being the most orginal. It doesn't use cliches or anything plus the execution saves it but the stereotypical "slasher set in the woods" can not be ignored. However, like I said, it comes down to the execution and execution is this stories strongest point.
Overall Impression: 22/25 (+2)
Although I had to Deduct Points due to the generic story, the execution of every part makes it worth while
Readers Attention: 10/10
The story By Time starts of simple but like a horror film, the suspense and the kills become more and more intense everytime.
Grammar/Spelling: 15/15
Every Part of the story was spelled correctly.
From the Description I knew that I was gonna enjoy this. Im a major fan of the slasher genre and camp forest horror settings is imo amazing as many stories such as Friday the 13th and I know what you did last Summer executed a otherwise maybe overused setting brilliantly. The Bayou of Darkness has a similar setting and It was handled perfectly there as well
I really like how the group of characters behaved like 19-20ish adults would act in that sort of environment. Friday The 13th (or at least the good films) mastered this as this does too. I also liked the reveal as well. I won't spoil it but it actually has emotional weight to it which gives it more depth which is nice.
Overall I recommend this especially if you like emotional stories, slashers and horror!

The Wandering King: Shadows of Elysium
Author: @DALISB
Submitted to: The Cookie Awards
A handful of corrupted overlords run the walls before the wastelands. They promise power in the form of a potent and mysterious drug called Elysium. This is the way of the world and it has done nothing to diminish the number of mutants and parasites that crowd the wastelands. Until now. They are both overcome by a new threat from the walls that cage them. Only one wall was ever built to protect the sane and non-cannibalistic mutants; it has fallen. The remaining warriors built a great defense to fill the gap in the frontline wall. This outpost was overrun and the warriors that defended it became too few. They did the best they could and many died in the battles to keep the True Wastelands at bay. Survivers became little more than wanderers, sell swords and try hard defenders of the inhabited wastes. This is the tale of one such wanderer and his combat with the abominations created from Elysium.

Title: 5/5
The Title Stands out and gets the readers attention and gets them to click on the title. It also gives you a vibe of what the story is about
Cover: 5/5
The Cover is very good. It stands out as being hand drawn which isn't very common for books noadays. The colors give you the vibe of the darkness and its overall drawn well.
Story: 10/10
The Story is very Unique and Creative. It does a lot to build up the world and create unique character, senerios and plot elements to keep the readers engaged.
Blurb: 5/5
The Blurb is Excellent alongside a very easy to get into plotline. It is very creative and lots of twists and turns.
Character Development: 15/15
All characters are able to grow and go on this character change. All the Characters comes across as empathic and likeable.
Creativity/Originality: 15/15
This is one of the Most Original Stories I have Ever Read. I was in for the story and it was very interesting.
Overall Impression: 22/25
Overall I was Very Impressed with the story. I enjoyed it (despite me having to rush a bit due to a busy schedule) and would love to review more of the authors books in a possible future.
Readers Attention: 8/10
For the Most Part, It grasped my attention allowing me to get into the Story. But (this isn't the stories fault) I had a busy schedule and had to rush through it a tiny bit. Also one criticism I do have with it, each chapter seems too long. If they were shortened a Bit, it would be slightly easier for the readers to get into it quicker.
Grammar/Spelling: 14/15
For the Most Part, the Spelling Is top notch and excellent. But One word was misspelled and I must deduct a point for that. The author should've revised it making sure that misspelled word was spelled correctly prior to submitting

FINAL OVERALL VERDICT:
The story is very intresting. I always been one for supernatural horror with demons and stuff so this was right up my ally. I love the concepts of Overlords in this story as well, this gives me vibes of a Horror Fantasy mix up. The story is told like its a dark fantasy story with words that are written like it comes out of something such as Game of Thrones, or Lord of The Rings. Although Im not a fan of those I.PS I love how the vibe of those mix well with the horror esthetic of the story
One thing I like is the protagonist(s) we follow along with are actually causious and not bumbling idiots. They know when they sense danger and they take smart actions to keep them safe, unlike a lot of stories where the characters act so ignorent its frustrating.
Overall the grammar and spelling has been for the most part perfect except for misspelling Mosquitos which I have to deduct points because of that. Another issue I have is that the chapters seem to be (for my taste at least) super long. It should've been shorter and more exciting (I.E Scary) events should've taken place.

OVERALL RANKING
Title: 5/5
The Title gives the sense of mystery and suspense in the story and gets readers intrigued enough to click the thumbnail.
Cover: 5/5
The cover is well edited and tells you the tone of the story.
Story: 10/10
The story isn't very complicated, its actually quite simple. But sometimes all a story needs is a simple plot and with this, its quite simple. However it is executed perfectly.
Blurb: 5/5
The Blurb is quite good along with the simple but greatly executed Plot. It gives a vibe of actually being there.
Character Development: 15/15
The Main Character Development Arc is a bond between a father and a son and its executed beautifully. At the beginning you can tell they are strained due to factors I won't spoil but by time, the two grew closer through trying to survive this nightmare
Creativity/Originality: 15/15
As I mentioned this isn't really a complicated story. Its quite simple but it is executed perfectly hitting all the marks and making a intense story that grabs readers attention
Overall Impression: 25/25
Overall I enjoyed the story. It was a intense, brutal and sometimes heartbreaking story. I was rather very impressed I have to say. I do recommend it if you like this type of horror story.
Readers Attention: 10/10
The story is very intense and has very emotional moments. Every reader will be engaged due to the intensiveness of the story.
Grammer/Spelling: 15/15
The whole story gets all 15 points due to it being very professional and ensured all spelling was correct
I really enjoyed this one. Everything seemed to work in wonders like a lot of other other horror stories I read. The Father and The Son, Damon and Jamie respectively, are both very well developed in terms of personality, character growth and more. They feel like real people who have real problems which is not required in horror stories but does help it so I have to give this story bonus points because of it.
The story seems simple but in execution it works very well as it was building up to be more and more intense each chapter I read. I also really liked the POV Switches between the father and the son. The story was the perfect length. For the stories I read before in The Carnival Awards, I struggled to finish most of them because they were too long. Not here as I was able to finish it in a single day.

Title (5/5)
The title gives a sense of mystery. It achieves in the goal of being mysterious which lures readers to click and read.
Cover (5/5)
The cover is rather simple but I believe for a short story like this, it doesn't need a complicated cover so this passes in my book
Blurb (10/10)
The Blurb of the story is excellent. For as short as it is, it gives the story a sense of dread and fear which is what a good horror story should have.
Character Development (13/15)
This is where the story struggles a bit. The story is only three chapters long so it doesn't have enough time to establish long character arcs. It does do well establishing who the characters are and their personalities but falls in terms of actual development which forces me to deduct 3 points.
Creativity/Originality (15/15)
The story is very short but that doesn't stop it from being interesting. As the story goes on, it establishes some sort of suspense to what was the thing they were building of and it did it wonderfully.
Readers Attention (10/10)
The story is extremely short (only three chapters long) so readers can finish it in like five minutes maybe even less. But besides that, the story is still strong enough to get readers to be invested
Spelling/Grammer (15/15)
The Book is perfect in terms of spelling and grammar. There is not one issue in terms of this category.
This story is actually pretty short like only three chapters so I don't have much to talk about. But for those chapters, its actually pretty good. The story takes advantage of its shortness by not revealing anything scary but rather keeps builds up events like dead body findings. I will say I was disappointed by the ending a bit but other then that I liked it.

Book title: The boy made of string.
A workshop stands at a very thin place where a spider spins souls for a corrupt and wayward spirit. She places a bit of hope inside every new creature she weaves, then begs the one she serves to let them live A gothic tale inspired by Tim Burton
The Boy Made Of String is classic horror at its finest. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and recommend it to anyone who likes classic horror. It gives vibes of a Tim Burtonesuqe version of Pinocchio with putting spirits in inanimate objects and that concept has been done in. As a writer in the horror genre myself, I looked the built atmosphere and admire how creative it is.
The Visuals added also gave the story a unique touch that most horror stories at least on Wattpad Just Don't Have. In terms of setting, this story feels like its a dark fantasy which is a very unique underused setting and you know this by the presence of characters like The Way King. Overall I enjoyed The Boy Made of String and Give it a overall 5 Star Ranking.
