The tension in the air was suffocating as Y/N and Ayano stared down Ruri the possession of his body more twisted than ever as the rotted almost zombified look of his face meshed with the bloodshot eyes he now possessed, The wind around him was demented, murderous and Toxic beyond belief as it played a horrific song that could only be compared to nails on a chalkboard. Y/N took a deep breath and waited patiently for a moment as a powerful gust of calming winds rushed through wrapping themselves around him and easing his ears and spirit instantly.

"So that's really Ruri, how come I couldn't sense his presence?" Ayano asks

"He's a wind user if he doesn't want to be found a fire user like you doesn't stand a chance, get right in his face and fight him close attacks from a distance won't work."

"Why don't you worry about yourself ok?" She says and charges at Ruri slashing through the air with her Enriha and unleashing a barrage of fireballs right at him, he waives his hand firing out a massive slash of dark wind that instantly detonates every single one before suddenly Ayano leaps through the flames, and brings her sword down immediately slamming against a barrier of wind its sheer force holding her in place as Ruri smirks twistedly. "GRAAAH!!" In an instant, Ruri vanished into the winds and reappeared sending a powerful punch to Ayano's face that she barely managed to block lifting up her sword as she slid back.  Ruri wasted no time following through reappearing before Ayano as a blade of dark wind formed in his hand before driving through instantly clashing with her as her knees slightly buckled under the pressure while fire and dark winds danced around them.

"Could use a little help right now Y/N!." She yells pushing Ruri back and gaining some distance between them her eyes dart around trying to find him only to Spot Y/N hovering up in the air smiling down at her "Since you look like you have everything under control I'm going on ahead take care of him alright, and try not to die in the process." He says before flying off, Ayano's entire body instantly ignites in crimson-red flames as she watches him fly off pure anger and hatred fueling her as she glares "Don't you leave me like this you asshole!!!"

Gathered around the seal Yuri and the remaining Fugas as well as the controlled Ren approached the darkened and demonic flame, Yuri raises his hand as the ceremony begins

"Go on now is the time to release the seal of our god summon thy great demon using the seed of the Kannagi to free him from his prison," Yuri said, and Ren helplessly approached the flame its dark embers scattering around him as it magnified

"Hear us, lord Galo we offer the child of the Kannagi as a sacrifice devour his soul and give us the power to put an end to the Kannagi forever!" The seal on the shrine instantly exploded as the demonic flame erupted and swirled into the air forming itself into a horrific beast that looked to swallow Ren whole before a massive wall of wind came crashing down separating them and sending many of the Fugas flying from its pressure, Y/N quickly flew in grabbing Ren in a massive tornado before landing and emerging from the winds with him safely in his arms but unconscious.

"Man, that was close." He said breathing out a sigh of relief before turning to the demonic flaming beast as it bashed itself against the wall of wind repeatedly "I'll deal with you in a minute." Y/N said before laying Ren gently on the ground, he held his hand over the sleeping boy's face as a gentle breeze escaped his palm and after a few short moments, Ren's eyes slowly opened back to normal once again before flashing Y/N a very similar and innocent smile as he sat up.

"Y/N!"

"Well, what do you know look who decided to wake up."

"You saved me." Ren instantly wrapped his arms around him hugging him tightly and Y/N gladly returned the favor before pinching both of Ren's cheeks and giving him a playful shake as the young boy smiled along joyfully

"What the hell is wrong with you letting them kidnap you like that, I thought you were supposed to be some kind of big-time fire user now what do you have to say for yourself?" He said teasingly as he pulled on Ren's cheeks to which he just chuckled innocently

"I'm really sorry I promise it won't happen again please let me go bro."

"Tell me..." Yuri began slowly getting to his feet and glaring at the both of them before continuing "...Why are you getting in our way helping those you hate, the abused feel a grudge that cannot be shaken, a humiliation that never dies you of all people should know what I'm talking about. I know you feel it Y/N, I know you hate the Kannagi family just as much as we do." Yuri reasoned

"Yeah well I'm not gonna lie to you they're not exactly my favorite people in the world right now,"

"Then if you share our hatred for the Kannagi family then why help them it simply doesn't make sense."

"For my brother...and for money. The head of the family hired me and a man's got to eat." Y/N explained and Yuri, Ren, and all of the remaining Fugas looked at him shocked

"Wait a sec you're saying the only reason you're gonna save the rest of the family is that you're being paid?! Ren asked annoyed and slightly angry while Y/N just smirked

"I play to the highest bidder kid I'm not a hero, but if I happen to do some good and kick some ass in the process so be it," Y/N said proudly and wholeheartedly

"You fool it's our mission there's no way in hell we'll let someone like you stand in our way!" Yuri yelled before he and the remaining Fugas fired a massively combined blast of wind that Y/N easily managed to block with the wave of his hand creating a wind barrier, his eyes instantly widened though as a familiar dark wind wrapped itself around him and whispered in his ears as Ruri emerged from the winds in a dark tornado instantly making the Fugas cheer in triumph

"Damn, guess Ayano wasn't able to hold him off," Y/N said and Ren's eyes widened

"No way Ayano never loses not with Enriha."

Ruri roared out into the air dark and powerful winds swirling all around him as the demonic flaming beast began to break through Y/N's wind wall as if trying to reach him

"I hear their spirits calling each other," Ren said, Y/N quickly fired a barrage of wind blades at the beast desperately trying to force it back but to no effect. Yuri slowly walked towards his son looking up at him

"It's time for you to become one with lord Galo, join with him now Ruri and fulfill our destiny!" Yuri ordered and Ruri roared once more unleashing a dark whirlwind and completely shattering Y/N's wind wall both he and Ren could only watch as the beast lunged out and swirled into Ruri's body transforming him into a terrifying demonic monstrosity a black tornado surrounding him as only his blood red eyes pierced through.

"Behold his majesty the great demon lord of the Fuga family." Yuri praised and the tornado surrounding the demon slowly dispersed as it descended towards the ground wings of black winds protruding from his back and a poisonous smog bellowing from his mouth as he landed.

"Destroy these Kannagis lord Galo crush them beneath your feet and wipe away their seed from the earth!" Yuri pleaded and with a monstrous roar it raised its hand, Y/N quickly managed to grab onto Ren and vanished into the winds just in time as the demon unleashed a sea of bladed winds that ripped Yuri and the remaining Fugas to shreds and scattered their remains to the great beyond before flying off in a tornado of black wind. Moments passed until the coast was clear when Y/N and Ren emerged from the winds looking off to where the demon was headed

"He must be heading towards the Kannagi estate," Y/N said and Ren nodded

"I don't get why did that thing attack them aren't they supposed to be on the same side?"

"I guess being imprisoned for so long made him snap and turn on his own people, his hatred for the Kannagis that locked him away must have consumed him entirely leaving nothing else."

"That's...awful."

"I suppose so but you can't say these bastards didn't have it coming to them, so naive," Y/N said before walking on ahead with Ren right behind him

"Y/N?"

"I've gotta stop him, not that I give a damn about what happened to the family it's just business if they all get killed I don't get paid but before we go..." Y/N grabs onto Ren and flies off with him in search of Ayano eventually finding her beaten and unconscious not too far from where Y/N had left her, Ren quickly runs over to her as they land

"Now that is a sorry sight he beat her up pretty good."

"Ayano please wake up, Ayano!" He yells out, Y/N calmly walks over and kneels down lifting her head slightly as he examines her injuries

"Is she gonna be ok?" Ren asked fearfully

"I'd say...no."

"What!?"

"The wounds aren't that bad but she's been infected by his aura his demonic spirit is eating her from the inside out just a matter of time before it takes over her entire body." Y/N explained

"This is bad, there has to be some way we can help her right?" Ren asks and Y/N hesitates for a moment

"...Yeah I got something here that might work, I just hate wasting one of them on her." He says and Ren looks at him confused

"What are you saying?" He asks as Y/N slowly pulls out a small vile of golden liquid from his pocket and spins it around in his hand

"Hey listen kid I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but this stuff is valuable and hard to come by," Y/N argues completely nonchalantly

"That's it you'll just let her die, is that little bottle of medicine more important to you than Ayano's life?" Ren asks, Y/N just shrugs

"So what if she kicks the bucket what's the big deal it's not all bad for you, you get to inherit Enriha and I know the old man will love that." Y/N jokes and for the first time Ren glares at Y/N igniting his entire body as he holds out his hand towards him angrily

"Shut your mouth, give me that medicine," Ren demands while Y/N gives him the side eye and thinks to himself "The flames of honest anger, well done that's the key to synchronizing with the spirits of fire" Y/N smiles proudly at his little brother and lifts Ayano's head up a little higher

"Whatever you say, now could you turn down the heat." He says and Ren's flames slowly die as he calms down, Y/N carefully opens the vile and slowly helps Ayano drink it, and before long both the infection and the injuries on her body begin to fade. She slowly opens her eyes spotting Y/N first and instantly glaring at him as he steps back

"You asshole how could you just leave me like that! You absolute piece of shit!"

"That's not a very nice way to talk to the person who just saved your life." He fired back and Ayano's glare quickly softened before Ren's arms wrapped around her

"Ayano I'm so glad you're alright," Ren said hugging her tightly

"Uh, Ren?"

"The demonic spirit was gonna eat your soul and then Y/N gave you some medicine and saved you," Ren explained and Ayano quickly glanced at Y/N who looked less than thrilled

"What kind of medicine did you give me?"

"Elixir," Y/N says blunt and cold

"Elixir no way!"

"Wait a sec you mean like alchemist Elixir but that's supposed to be the rarest medicine in the whole world right?" Ren asked

"Tell me about it I felt so lucky being able to get my hands on two of them just in case Wednesday and I are ever in a near-death experience again, but at least I still got hers although I doubt I'll ever get my hands on another one again. Now, don't you have something to say?" He says glancing at Ayano annoyed and she lowers her head in shame and appreciation

"Oh yeah, thank you for saving me." She said and Y/N smirked

"Ah it's no problem I'll just tack the cost of the Elixir onto the bill triple should cover it." He said and Ayano went right back to glaring at him again

"Now you listen to me--" She tries to finish but Y/N quickly cuts her off pointing at her "An how come you lost that fight? What was it you said to me earlier today if I remember correctly you said there wasn't a demon that Enriha can't take down, what you couldn't burn him even after you stabbed him with your precious little Fireblade." Y/N said laying into her

"I-It's not that simple"

"Oh I get it now you weren't able to burn him because you couldn't even touch him," Y/N groaned and Ayano stood up defensively

"First of all, you're the one who dumped that maniac on me and then took off without even giving me any warning."

"Yeah, that was a mistake I thought you were strong enough to take care of yourself. When you attacked me the other day I thought you were kidding around or maybe taking it easy on me I mean we are family I guess," Y/N snapped back at her and Ayano instantly summoned Enriha again ready to slash Y/N over the head but he easily managed to block it with his wind holding her in place and smiling the entire time "See that's what I'm talking about." Y/N dispersed his winds letting her go but held onto her wrist before turning to Ren who quickly ran over to them

"I don't know about you two but I'm ready to get outta here," Y/N said before surrounding the three of them in a vortex and taking off into the skies after Ruri

"Look."

Y/N, Ayano, and Ren spot the demonic Ruri surrounded by a vortex of ominous dark winds tearing through the forest down below as moves toward the Kannagi estate, Ayanos eyes widened instantly upon seeing his new twisted form

"That's Ruri but his aura-"

"It's spreading if we don't stop him in time he'll wake the evil spirits in the ground too," Y/N says jumping in for her and Ayano looks at Ruri slightly spooked

"Do we really stand a chance against something like this?"

"Don't tell me you're scared just cause you got roughed up a little bit, you're the next head of the Kannagi family aren't you?" Y/N said trying to encourage her in his own Y/N sort of way and seemingly enough it worked

"Wait who said I was scared it's a Kannagi sworn duty to rid the world of monsters like him, I'll stop this thing no matter what or I'll die trying." She said proudly and Y/N just scoffed slightly angered and annoyed by her

"What are you trying to sound noble or something? If you die then it's over your past and future disappear in the blink of an eye, and there's no coming back no matter how hopeless things seem as long as you live to fight another day there's always a chance, the last man standing wins so you fight to survive, and you never give up." Y/N said and both Ren and Ayano were stunned into silence but brimmed with newfound confidence

"Now let's kill this bastard," Y/N said as they lowered down right on Ruri's tail when suddenly corrupted spirits from the earth slowly began to emerge and Ren quickly broke free blasting them away as he landed with a massive wave of fire

"You guys go on ahead I'll take care of them!"

"Alright don't forget what I said Ren, we're counting on you!" Y/N said before he speed off with Ayano, quickly more and more spirits from the earth began to emerge surrounding Ren as he glared at them a burning determination in his eyes as his body ignited

"The Kannagi fire is a fire of purification it's a power given to us to put an end to the evil in the world, so by the power of sacred flame and in the name of the Kannagi go back to the darkness!" He yelled out unleashing a massive wave of fire meanwhile, Y/N did the exact same thing unleashing a wave of wind that sent the demonic Ruri crashing into the ground both Y/N and Ayano landed right as he recovers roaring out and sending an onslaught of darkened wind blades their way. Ayano charged ahead with her Enriha ignited brightly while Y/N backed her up with a series of wind blades of his own, Ruri instantly deflected each blade and charged forward sending out a devastating shockwave of wind and fire as he and Ayano clashed, She hesitates for a moment as he breaks through just about to reach her before Y/N blast him back with a gust of wind.

"What are you doing!?"

"Leave me alone!" She yelled back at him before Ruri vanished and quickly emerged from the winds behind her sending a devastating whirlwind punch straight to Ayano's back that she just narrowly manages to block with the back of Enriha sending her sliding until Y/N quickly catches her. Ayano looks up at him exhausted

"Y/N."

"I really don't like this guy." He said completely calm as the demonic Ruri summoned four enormous dark tornados destroying the landscape all around him and causing the world around the three of them to shake violently, Ayano could only look on a feeling of hopelessness gripping her mind.

"What can we do to stop something that powerful?"

"Just keep doing what you're doing go after him with Enriha, wait for an opening and I'll try to slow him down."

"What? but how can you-"

"Let me worry about that, take him out all you need is one clear strike got it." Y/N said raising his hand and creating a tunnel of wind for her to pass through straight into Ruri. "Go now!" He yelled and Ayno charged in her Enriha held high as she did Y/N thought to himself

"Alright, time to stop this guy I could create another tornado that cancels his out...nah I've got a better idea." Y/N slowly closed his eyes, raised his arms into the air, and took a deep breath as hundreds upon hundreds of glowing azure blue particles gathered all around him before an immense tower of wind shot up from under him piercing through the clouds above

"Now!" Y/N eyes shot open and the clouds instantly split apart sending down a wave of winds and lighting from on high directly onto Ruri crushing him in an endless storm of winds and thunder and leaving the area a desolate wasteland with Ruri at its center in a massive crater on his knees. Ayano looks on in shock protected from the blast by a wind barrier before igniting Enriha once more ready to deal the final blow

"Now it's my turn to end this!" She lunged forward and brought her sword down with lightning speed until suddenly Ruri stood blocking her strike with a barrier locking them both in place as flame and wind collided.

"Go back where you came from demon!" Ayano held as she desperately tried to force him back, Y/N just smirks as he watched from a distance a strange feeling of excitement gripping him as a calming breeze wrapped itself around him and whispered in his ears "That barely even phased him, guess it's time I step it up a notch just hope Ayano can hang in there." He thought to himself as Ayano struggled before calling out to her

"Ayano just hold him off as long as you can, try to buy me some time!"

"Are you kidding me time for what!?" She yelled back before leaping back narrowly avoiding a swing from Ruri "I could use some backup hurry!" Y/N closed his eyes once more and took a very deep and heavy breath while Ayano struggled to block blow after blow from Ruri her legs buckling more and more with each strike before seemingly out of nowhere an azure blue light began to shine, Y/N drowned out Ayano's desperate cries for help as millions upon millions of azure blue particles gathered all around him.

"Y/N any time this century!!" Ayano yelled igniting Enriha with a crimson-red flame and managing to counter Ruri just in time to completely slash off his right arm just as Y/N spoke aloud

"Spirits of the wind in the name of the Contract..." Y/N slowly opened his eyes once more

"Entrust me with your power."

It was as if time itself froze as both Ayano and the demonic Ruri stopped and stared into the boy's eyes seeing the skies themselves within them and a calming yet terrifying storm underneath.

"Y-Y/N what happened to your eyes?" She asked before a calm and gentle breeze brushed across her face as Y/N appeared beside her

"The Spirit King of the Wind marked me as The Contractor." He spoke calmly as a strong yet gentle breeze swirled around him and Ayano looked at him shocked beyond belief

"The Contractor you mean the spirit king has given you his blessing?" Y/N just shot her a smile before glaring at the demonic Ruri "Now time for you to go back to hell where you belong!" Y/N eyes sharpened and an enormous and devastating tornado formed all around him emanating enough force and power that even from space the warping of the atmosphere could be seen

With a wave of his hand, Y/N split apart the massive tornado into hundred of fragments and sent them colliding with Ruri crushing him with their power and tearing apart his demonic body and spirit as each blade of wind rips into him like millions of daggers at the cellular level before finally combusting into a massive gust of wind leaving nothing but a gentle breeze behind as the azure blue light slowly dies and Y/N smirks before falling to the ground exhausted as his eyes return to normal, Ayano smiles a bit as she looks down at him

"You didn't need me in the end to win that fight did you?"

"No, I did just because I have a contract with the spirit king that doesn't make me invincible."

"I guess not at least not if it takes you that long to get your attack ready."

"Well.." Y/N trails off and Ayano angrily lifts him back onto his feet by his collar and glares at him

"Hold on a sec, you waited on purpose when were you really ready!?"

"It was about the time you were getting rag-dolled I guess?"

"Then why didn't you do something sooner?!" She asked shaking him violently

"Oh come on if I'd had stepped in when you were down you'd feel like a loser for the rest of your life and you know it, as it is though you got a chance to show off your stuff with Enriha, upgraded your flames, hell you even sliced off its arm and everything."

"And that's supposed to make me feel better?!"

"I mean yeah we're alive aren't we? plus.." Y/N smiled and moved her hands off his collar and flashed an honest smile "You really impressed me Ayano nice work." He said wholeheartedly and Ayano just kept glaring before softening her and giving him a decently strong punch on the arm as she chuckled "Asshole."

"Yeah, I know," Y/N said chuckling too

Days passed before everything finally settled down once again, and Y/N surprisingly decided to visit his father Genma and fill him in on everything that happened just before he left town once again, but right now they both just sat in a strange and awkward silence that Y/N eagerly tried to break by sitting up to leave

"Welp this sure has all been a lot of fun but I gotta get going I have places to be so-" He tries to finish but Genma cuts him off "What are you gonna do now Y/N." Genma asked genuinely intrigued to which Y/N just shrugged

"I don't know probably gonna head back home I think I've had enough of New York for a while, plus I gotta go see about a girl." Y/N said smiling peacefully as he opened the window to Genma's hospital room before glancing back at his father one last time "Try to take it easy old man your no spring chicken anymore." He jabbed before vanishing into the winds leaving for the first time in a long time a proud and smiling Genma

"That little shit."

...

In the dead hours of the night, Wednesday Addams sat at her desk by the window in her room in the Addams family home typing away on her typewriter before a familiar and gentle breeze brushed across her face followed by the ringing of the phone Y/N had gotten her instantly knowing it was him calling her before she even looked at the screen and answered

"I take it you calling me at this hour is a sign that you didn't tragically perish after all Yagami."

"Nope still here safe and sound and all in one piece." He answered the faint sound of wind swirling around him in the background

"What a shame." Wednesday fired back coldly to which Y/N chuckled on the other side of the phone "Yeah I missed you too Wednesday." He said and Wednesday simply ignored him before continuing on "So, is it all over then?" She asked slightly intrigued

"Yup it's done Ren's been saved, the Fugas are gone and so is their demonic savior it all turned out pretty alright in the end thankfully even got me a decent amount of cash in the process."

"Interesting so what now?"

"Now...Now I'm coming home."

"Oh really, last I recalled Nevermore was still under heavy repairs from our little Crackstone incident so tell me Y/N what home are you referring to?" Wednesday laughed and Y/N instantly started laughing "That's a stupid question, Addams." He said jokingly but Wednesday didn't seem to find it all that funny "If it was coming out of your mouth perhaps, but please do enlighten me as to why you think so Y/N." She says and Y/N happily answers

"Because you should know by now better than anyone my home..." The call abruptly cuts off before Wednesday suddenly hears a soft tap on her window and opens it to find Y/N hovering outside it phone in hand smiling his signature loving, pure, contagious, and idiotic smile as he sees her and finishes "My home is where you are Wednesday Addams." He said proudly and lovingly, Wednesday looks at him for a moment a small amount of color crawls onto her face before she shakes her head and smiles ever so slightly

"Idiot."

Well here we are people the end of the line...for now anyways. I can't tell you how much fun this story has been to write both main and side stuff and I cannot thank each and every single one of you enough for not only supporting me and it but loving it as much as you guys have it really blows me away and I'm forever grateful to all of you.

But yeah this is it for now the Fugas have been defeated and Y/N is back with Wednesday I hope you guys enjoyed that cute little moment witht them at the end it's gonna be a wait until season 2 but I'll be more than excited to jump back in with them again. That aside I hope you guys enjoyed this little Y/N centric side story I loved writing every second of it.

What comes next besides waiting for season 2 I may jump in and do a one shot here or there but I'm gonna take a little and much needed break for a week or two it's midterm time at college and I gotta grind. When I come back though it's about time I get back onto my other stories that I hope you guys check out if you're at all interested if not that's ok ONTO SEASON 2 we go!!!

But yeah that all bein said Thank each and every one of you again for loving Y/N, Wednesday and The Contractor it means the world to me and so much more. I love you all and don't forget to take it easy.
