Was the pink tint on his lips a bit too pink? Taehyung isn't quite sure. He is sitting in this restaurant, wearing his Blue button up cardigan with a low neck that he bought from a market in Bali when he went on a vacation last year. Same goes for the silver pendant around his neck, looking beautiful against his tanned skin. He fiddled with his diamond earrings because he was nervous. He hasn't felt this nervous in a long time.

Sitting inside a Michelin five star restaurant that his father booked, A reservation for him and his blind date. He comes to this restaurant a lot because it has an amazing view of the Han River through the big windows and the food is so delicious. He was surprised when his father told him he booked them a dinner date at ‘Leyin’, the restaurant.

Taehyung will be honest, he is shocked at himself that he agreed to this date. He won't lie, he knew now or later he would be set up on an arranged date like this, he had wondered about it as soon as he gained consciousness and realized how everything worked in his world. To solidify their connections and expand their business, many families had their children arranged with other families so they could all benefit from it. If it works out, good, if it doesn't they would have mistresses on side and that was it. Divorce isn't common as it is looked down upon in the society.

That's bullshit to Taehyung. Being a divorceé isn't something to be ashamed about, if it didn't work then it didn't, every other assumption shouldn't even leave anyone's mouth because it's none of anyone's business. In a society as progressed as there's, Taehyung finds it hard to believe that this type of stigma is still alive. Societal views and nervousness aside, he is still very excited about the date.

That's the best part of a blind date, you don't know anything about them, there's so much to know about them and find out about their interests. It's like a clean slate being filled. Taehyung has an outgoing personality so he loves meeting new people and befriending them. Only if Taehyung knew his date was someone he wasn't expecting at all. When a familiar person started to walk inside the restaurant, Taehyung was immediately confused and worried.

He was more confused when that certain someone started to walk in his direction. Taehyung scrunched his eyebrows trying to figure out what was happening. Making eye contact with him and Taehyung started to notice what he was wearing. He was wearing a black loose ripped jeans, with his sheer tank top tucked into the pants and a cropped jacket on top. His waist was so small and you could see the shadow of his abs through the sheer tank. Taehyung finds himself embarrassingly staring at him. With his tattoo peeking from his hands and the eyebrow piercing still in too.

As handsome as he looks, Taehyung can't help but wonder why he is wearing that here. This is a five star restaurant and the dress code is smart casual/ business casual, looking casual but polished at the same time. Everyone around them are top tier people who are sitting in meetings in suits or wearing something even fancier. Taehyung is glad he isn't with Jeongguk tonight.

When Jeongguk's strut was over he was finally hovering over Taehyung, he didn't say a word and sat in front of him. They both stared at each other for a second before saying anything.

“Did you enjoy the show I just gave you?” Jeongguk asks him and Taehyung wants to punch him.

“What are you doing?”

“What do you mean?”

“Why are you sitting here, Jeongguk? Are you here to pick a fight with me again? Because I am not going to entertain you.” Taehyung lets him know and now it was Jeongguk's turn to chuckle.

“Don't worry I have better things to do than that. Tell me where else am I supposed to sit than not here?” Jeongguk questions him and Taehyung feels like his limits are being tested.

“Anywhere else. Jeongguk if you didn't get a reservation that doesn't mean you should crash my date. I am here on a blind date and you need to leave before he comes.”

Taehyung warns him, completely clueless and Jeongguk laughs again. “Ah, this is fun.” Jeongguk murmurs. Taehyung doesn't understand this man. Why is he like this? He doesn't know. Jeongguk puts his arms on the table and leans forward to Taehyung.

“Oh sweetheart, You are quite slow. I am your date, the date you are waiting for. Jeon Jeongguk, are you honored?” Jeongguk says to the older guy.

There is silence at their table once again. To Taehyung it feels like the entire restaurant went silent but it was just him. They kept staring at each other while trying to process what he said.

“You are lying. This is one of your tricks to get back at me for what happened at the party.” He was still in disbelief. It's not even fun for Jeongguk anymore.

“It's not. Trust me I was just as surprised as you when my granny told me that Kim Taehyung has agreed to go on a date with me so we can discuss things and prepare for marriage. Your father himself was very happy when he met up with me.” Jeongguk sat back into his seat with a smug smile.

“No, this doesn't make any sense. You are telling me, I am on a blind date with you. My father set me up with someone like you for marriage.”

“Yeah? Why is that so hard to believe? your father loved me, why wouldn't he?” Jeongguk asked him and Taehyung looked at him with disbelief.

“Why wouldn't he?? when did he even meet you? Do you really want me to list down your problems?” Taehyung's voice started to get a bit high and they were getting some looks from other people around them.

“Be my guest.” He said out of spite.

“OK, you are a snob, you have a terrible personality, you judge people without even knowing them, You live off daddy's money, I can't even name one thing you have that you could call your own, that includes this whole personality of yours and have you ever even stepped outside of Hannam-dong?” Taehyung was going to say more but he stopped when he saw it was affecting Jeongguk. His face was no more happy like it was before.

“For someone who says I judge people without even knowing them, aren't you doing the same, Taehyung-sshi? You do have a lot to say about me, should I feel flattered? and for your information, yes, I have stepped outside of hannam-dong. You have mistaken me for some spoiled chaebol. It's a cliche thing to say but I am not like the others. Though it's no use saying this to you when you have already made up your mind about me.” Jeongguk responded with maturity that Taehyung wasn't expecting.

“Don't try taking the high road now. You are the one who started all this. I didn't have anything to say about it. I don't care about you because I don't know you.” Taehyung states that Jeongguk's face is straight. Not giving anything away.

“I would like to apologize about that night. I wasn't in the right headspace and when they started to talk about you, I just said what I had heard from news articles and the internet.”

“As someone with familiar backgrounds, you should know the tabloids barely know the truth so the fact you believed makes me think I can sway you into believing anything.”

“It's not about me being swayed easily. Like you said, I didn't care enough about you to want to get to know who you are. We are strangers to each other basically so it's not even me trying to offend you. So yes, I am sorry. Besides, I do stupid shit when I'm with Minwoo so if you see me with him again, just don't come close.”

“I don't want to. It sounds like you should stay away from this Minwoo guy. You know since you….sound sincere, I will forgive you. I apologize too for that night, not today because I still do stand by what I said. You haven't done anything to take back my statement.” Taehyung feels like this is a business meeting instead of ‘meeting with future husband’.

“Do you want me to?”

“No, why put effort into something that won't work?” Taehyung asked him and Jeongguk couldn't help but agree.

“So I take it as this date failed.”

“Horribly so. Did you really think we would come to a conclusion that would magically make me accept to get married to you?” Taehyung asked, finally letting out a chuckle. He stood up from his chair, ready to leave as he doesn't even have an appetite anymore.

“No, I thought these abs would be able to convince you more.”

Jeongguk lifted his shirt and Taehyung immediately looked away…after catching a glimpse of those washboard abs. They were already quite visible through the tank top but now they were there in their naked glory. The nerve this man has on him. He closed his eyes before turning towards Jeongguk who had his shirt down and a wide grin on his face. Taehyung knew the couple next to their table saw and so did the waiters around them. They all were giggling and whispering to themselves now.

There's nothing he hates more than unwanted attention. “Have you lost your mind? Why are you flashing everyone??”

“I can tell you that everyone enjoyed that except you. You did too, I can tell by the blush on your face.” Jeongguk says to him and Taehyung turns to the mirror on the wall a bit far away to see he wasn't blushing. Great, he got fooled by this man again. He grabbed his phone and turned to leave.

“Tell your grandma that I'm sorry this didn't work out, it's sad her grandson couldn't have the personality she has. She has more dignity than you!!” Taehyung points at him before he quickly walks away from him. Jeongguk doesn't say anything, he just smiles and watches Taehyung leave the restaurant. Leaving him all alone.

When Jeongguk reached his house, He quietly got inside. Making sure he isn't in the viewpoint of any of his family. He just needs a change of clothes before he goes to meet his friends. He only wore this outfit just so he can embarrass Taehyung so he doesn't need to wear it anymore. He reached his room safely without alerting anyone.

Quickly got to his thing. Taking off his clothes and putting them away to be washed. He went to his closet and took out something more casual. A black graphic t-shirt with some cargo pants, he grabbed one of his stompers and put them on. He loves shoes that have thick soles. He ran his hands through his hair, making it a bit messy. It made him look hot and he wasn't afraid to admit it.

Putting on some silver earrings and a chain. He was ready to head out again. He quickly grabbed his car keys and wallet with his phone before heading out of the room. He was walking towards the hallway, passing by the living room when he heard a noise. He stopped in his tracks as he tried to hide behind the wall but was immediately caught as he heard his name being called.

He closed his eyes before cursing to himself. Sighing to himself, he opens them back up to see his grandma standing in front of him. “Gukkie, where are you going?? Are you trying to hide from me?”

“No..?” Jeongguk said innocently. Granny smiled. “Good then, are you going to your date with Taehyungie now?” Grandma linked their arms together and dragged him into the living room where his mother was already sitting, both of them having their sunset tea.

“I came back from the date. It was a lunch date, granny.” Jeongguk sat down next to her on the sofa. He saw how her eyes lit up at the mention.

“How did it go? Taehyungie is a nice boy, isn't he?” Grandma asked him and Jeongguk wanted to scoff. So nice, he insulted him just 5 minutes into the date and probably doesn't ever want to see him again.

“The date wasn't that good. He was alright. Not my type, Granny.” Jeongguk says, his mother's interest perked up as she was surprised.

“Not your type? Are you hiding something from us, Jeongguk? I have seen the people you have dated. Pretty and have a strong personality to them. From what I know of Taehyung, he's exactly that. Perfect for us so wanna tell us the real reason the date didn't go well?” His mother states. Jeongguk hates how well his mother knows him sometimes.

Anyone with two working eyes will agree that Taehyung is extremely attractive. He has features that people pay for, Double eyelids, strong jaw structure, Pouty lips. An amazing body from what he saw from that fitted suit he wore in that party. He definitely has an interesting personality…probably his only lack. Jeongguk doesn't like how perfect Taehyung is.

“We didn't click. His personality is different from mine, he has different values than ours.” He mentioned the values and he knew it was something his mother couldn't look past.

“I am so upset it didn't work out between you too. That dohyun was so confident and it gave me a slight hope too. Taehyung would have been a perfect son in law.” His grandma tells him and Jeongguk tries not to feel guilty for making her upset.

“Granny, you should rest. I will talk to Jeongguk. You don't have to worry about it.” She says to her. She calls one of the servants to come and help her go to room. Grandma kisses Jeongguk's head before leaving the room with the servant. Leaving the son and mother in the room, all alone.

“We can make some compromises. If you and him get married we have so much to gain than lose. A marriage Union between the kims and Jeons, the entire world would be on our feet and we can make that happen.” His mother sounded so optimistic about this.

Jeongguk's face fell. Ofcourse, why did he even think for a spare second she was pushing him into this so he can be happy and not because of the business aspect to it. He looks down at his lap before speaking again.

“We can't. He doesn't like me and I don't like him.”

“Jeongguk, the liking part can be developed after marriage. You both are attractive, the love will come. Even if it doesn't, the world won't end. There are things bigger than love with marriages like this. You are being selfish, Jeongguk.” His mother taunts him. Jeongguk tries not to say something upsetting to her.

“I'm being selfish because I want to choose who I marry?”

“Yes. We have raised you with so much care, We gave you everything you ever wanted. Name one thing me and your father didn't give you? We do this for you, to secure your future. Having a husband like Taehyung should be the only choice for you. Even your father agreed when I told him about this. You can't even do this for us? I'm disappointed in you.” His mother yelled so much and she didn't even realize how much weight those words held.

Jeongguk feels anger and he is also sad. He has no idea on how to deal with this situation. for the first time, he's clueless. So he does what he does best, blaming someone else.

“It's not just me, okay? He doesn't like me.”

“What if he does? what if he says yes, would you say yes too?” His mother asks him. The raven head is puzzled.

“He won't.”

“But what if, Jeongguk.”

“...I would. I would say yes.”

“I knew it. That's my son. You start thinking about your wedding. Leave the rest to me.”

A filler in a way. Things are going to go down soon. We can already see the cracks and soon it would all shatter.
Also since I mentioned hannam dong I'll tell you what it is. It's like rich area of Seoul? it has crazy apartment complexes and that's where all the millionaires and billionaires of Korea live and hang out. Only the people of that area that can go there. So from this you can see these two are very privileged and sheltered.
Hope you guys are liking where I'm taking this.
Love yall
