'Donovan Steele is still at the top of our most sought-after, most attractive self-made billionaire, CEO and founder of Desire. Yet, Donovan Steele is not a stranger to keeping his personal life just that, on the down low. The young bachelor has yet to be seen with any potential partner, which begs the question every reader wants to know, is there anything he does want? Here we have a woman who claims to have spent the night with the handsome mysterious bachelor-''

A knock at the door pulls me away from the garbage I was reading, to my office door, where a second later my assistant, Jason, comes through and stands in the doorway.

"Sir, I just came to inform you I won't be able to partake in the meeting at 10." He said, making me frown.

"Why?" I ask, zeroing in on what he held in his hand.

"We might have a potential client, I've met some of the free agents and they'd like me to take a look at him personally." He simply said as I stared at him.

Personally, he said? Interesting.

"What's his name?" I ask boldly, as I stare at my open laptop in front of me, closing the gossip website I had sued just moments ago for reading what they released yesterday morning.

"Uh...yes, sure, hold on one moment please." I see him open the folder from the corner of my eye and stare down at the contents of the file.

"Evan Beckett."

Evan Beckett?

I try to think if I had ever heard the name before, but nothing comes to mind, which makes me now wonder what was so intriguing about him that got my agents buzzing for Jason to intervene.

"Hand me the folder."

I watch him close the door behind him and then walk over to my desk, where he hands me the beige folder, and once it's in my hands, I sit back at my desk and open it up.

The first thing I noticed was the look in the boy's eyes.

Something about the way the photo captured him made him instantly stand out to me, more than any other potential star I had signed to my company.

I read his folder and noticed that he had not taken any jobs in the past year and that he only had gotten parts for commercials I wouldn't look twice at, something that didn't suit him.

He was a good-looking guy, and if his background was as impressive as it was on paper, then I wondered why he hadn't pursued any stronger roles in TV or movies.

He had the face, and the talent, so why was this guy coming to me now?

Evan Beckett... 22 years old, with brown hair and green eyes, he was 5 '9 and was an only child from a small town outside NY to a widowed mother.

He was also severely in debt, which should've alarmed me, but it didn't, it only made me wonder more.

Everything about him left me curious, but I couldn't put my finger on just one thing that made him intrigue me.

Something I haven't felt in a long time was itching at me to meet this guy and get a look at him up close and personal, just to see what makes him tick.

When was the last time I was curious about another human being unless it was for my gain?

"I'll take the interview."

"S-Sir?" Jason stuttered as I handed the file back to him.

"What about the meeting with the board, surely you can't miss that."

I had already made up my mind by the time I looked up at my assistant, who had spilt coffee on his white shirt and had failed to hide it.

"Change your shirt, and postpone the meeting by an hour, have Stacey bring him to my office when he arrives." I simply say, before going back to my laptop.

I felt compelled to search his name and see what more I could get in the little time I had before he was due for his interview.

Jason leaves and I instantly find his social media, unlike anything I had ever done before, I click on the top link and go straight to his photogram, where I am met with hundreds of photos of this 'Evan Beckett'.

Instantly, I learned more than I would in any folder.

Sitting back in my chair, I stare at the screen and rethink my approach for when this kid shows up, and how exactly I was going to do this.

I wanted him as a talent, he had everything an agency wanted, the looks, the build, the talent, he had it all, and what's more he was an outgoing and by the looks of it, a popular guy.

I almost felt impatient just to meet him.

This strange feeling... What was it?

One hour later.

"Sir, your 10 o'clock is here, Mr Evan Beckett." Stacey's voice comes through the phone.

"Send him in." I say as I look through the papers I should be going through with the board right now, instead of taking this interview.

I heard Stacey knock on the door and then moments later the footsteps of someone that wasn't Stacey.

I didn't need to look up to know the one who had left me curious had walked into my office and was overwhelmed as he stood feet away from my desk, by the door.

"Take a seat." I say without looking up, impatient to get to the point as I finish what I was doing.

"I assume you know why I'm here." He suddenly says, making me raise my head, lower my pen and look at him, for the first time, sitting there intimidated by my gaze.

Did I scare him? As much as he held his head high, there was an uneasy yet confident look in his eye.

"You want my help." I spoke plainly. "You're an actor, right?"

I already knew all this, yet I wanted to find out more, to push his buttons, to see if he had what it took to be in my company, and most of all, to see if he was worth my time.

He didn't say anything, and just by looking at the guy, wearing casual clothes with messy hair he had most likely forgotten to brush, he was way out of his depth coming here.

It only made me more curious.

He didn't strike me as someone who gave up easily, I simply wanted to know more, to see if I was right.

"You know it's not just as simple as me giving you money, I want something in return." I say, stating the obvious.

He remained silent, making it obvious he had nothing to give me if I gave him this chance.

Apart from his looks and 'talent', I decided to push his buttons and see what happens.

"You don't have anything I can use, so why should I not have you thrown out of my office right this instant for wasting my time?"

His eyes widened, and just as I expected, that look in his eye that first intrigued me came to life.

"Because I'm willing to do anything, I... I need this, it's the only option I have left..."

"I'm a hard worker." He nervously spoke, as I hardened my gaze. "I won't disappoint you, I'll do whatever you ask, Mr Steele."

Ha... well now, that was a first.

I thought he had more pride but he just seemed desperate, it wasn't what I wanted him to say, but either way, it amused me.

Let's see if I can push him more.

"You're a good-looking guy, how old are you?"

He blinked at me, before shifting in his seat as he held eye contact with me.

"22... Sir."

I almost smiled as I watched him squirm under my gaze. "You keep in shape?"

"Uh... Yeah, I go to the gym."

Hmm... something about him still wasn't adding to him, there was still his lack of history for the past year, which made me only want to bully him more for the information that was lacking in his folder.

"Ever thought of erotic movies? You'd make quite the dollar as a male actor." I said half seriously, as I slowly watched his eyes shift to a glare my way.

"No." His tone was hard. "I don't do that shit, I'm a serious actor."

A serious actor who hasn't worked in over a year." I state the obvious, hoping he takes the bait.

"If you were a serious actor, you would take work where you could get it."

"Beggars can't be choosers." I add, watching as his eyes turn into a cold and defensive glare.

That was more like it... that fire in his eye.

I had already decided to sign him the moment after reading his file, even more so by meeting him in person, I would be a fool to deny him a chance just because he glared at me.

I had not missed the way he had checked me out either, most of the time I would ignore it, as I was used to this type of response with women, but with a guy who was close to the age of my son?

I would be lying if I denied that he had something that attracted me to him, but I still didn't know what it was.

I had never been with a guy before, but Evan Beckett seemed like he hadn't either, which made this all the more new to me.

"Get undressed."

His brows furrow. "What?"

There was just one more thing I needed to confirm before I signed him and contacted my lawyer to do a contract and set him up as a client.

I wanted to confirm if he felt something too.

I watched as he slowly took off his jacket, and then looked at me with eyes that read 'OK, now what?'.

"Now the top." I kept eye contact with him, as his green eyes challenged me silently, before breaking eye contact to take off his top over his head and put it down on the seat he was sitting on.

His eyes didn't lie, even as he stood without a top in my office, he was looking at me the same way I was curious about him.

Just then, an insane proposition came to mind, something so absurd that I almost kept my mouth shut as it was completely out of the blue and nowhere close to what I ever proposed before.

"I will sign you on as a talent and set you up, I will also give you the money you need to pay off your debts, you can pay me back through the jobs you get." I say, sitting back and watching as his face shifts to confusion.

"Is that all?" He asks timidly, as a smirk threatens to slip through the mask.

"Wait, this isn't one of those where I'm having sex with you for this opportunity right? If that is what this is then..."

I couldn't help but smile, as I looked at him, trying to hide his blush as his eyes went down to the three buttons I had opened on the top of my shirt.

He was feisty, and confident and spoke his mind, and unlike any other person I had met before him, it strangely affected me to act on my insane proposition to explore this curiosity.

"You're a smart boy, Evan, so I'll cut to the bullshit." I said plainly, a sudden hunger rising as his eyes focused on mine.

"Since I'm in a good mood, you can accept becoming a client with Desire, and then walk out of this office and pretend this conversation never happened." I watched him listen tentatively as his eyes searched mine.

"But." I sighed, hiding the smile that threatened to show.

"The moment you leave this office, you won't get another chance to know what it feels like to indulge in the curiosity you're so desperately trying to hide." I hint at the growing erection in his trousers.

I watched him as he turned his head, embarrassed and trying to hide his curiosity as a blush made its way onto his cheeks.

So, this was the proof I needed.

He was thinking the same as me, but he was being more shy about it than I.

"So, Evan Beckett." I look at his face, admiring the way his lip twitched as I said his name.

"Do you want to be my friend?"

What I didn't know at this moment, was that this would be the start of something completely out of my control, after spending my entire life being in complete control of not my destiny, but others as well.

I looked at him and felt something I hadn't felt in a long time, and for the longest time, I felt excited, and curious about the future and what it might bring as Evan Beckett so boldly accepted my proposition.

"Ok." His voice graces my ears. "I'll be your friend."
