Chapter 10: The Angerball and Two-Faced Whore

"I am not being ghostly!" Aubrey said after Asha hung up the phone.

"That's literally the first thing you've said to me all day!" Asha replied, clearly annoyed.

"Well, if you must know, I was planning a surprise for our anniversary coming up! But you know what fuck you, I'll just be "ghostly" and ignore your existence." Aubrey crossed her arms and glared at her wife.

"Awe, you were? That's so sweet!" Asha gushed, and Aubrey facepalmed.

"Ridiculous, just bullshit." Aubrey walked away to hide in her library. Asha rolled her eyes and went outside to meet Gretchen.

Gretchen pulled up a few minutes later, honked her horn, and Asha got in. "So why's Aubrey being ghostly?"

"Turns out she was planning a surprise for our anniversary, which is sweet, but now she's being. I don't know how to explain it...?" Asha said as she searched for a weird in her brain.

"We call that 'being Aquarius.'" They shared a laugh, and then Asha looked at her.

"So why's Caren being a bitch ass punk?" She asked, and Gretchen rolled her eyes.

"Long story, but I'll give you the short version. Penny threw Caren out of her store permanently; Caren wanted revenge, so she became president of the HOA, she then went over there and gave Penny and Stacey bullshit, and Stacey beat the shit out of her." Gretchen explained, and Asha burst out laughing.

"I heard about the store thing from Aubrey, but Stacey beating the shit outta her is funny as fuck." Asha continued to laugh hysterically.

"I know, right I almost didn't want to intervene." Gretchen laughed.

"You're two-faced as fuck you know that?" Asha asked her, and Gretchen chuckled.

"I know I am, and you're a little anger ball," Gretchen smirked as she pulled into the parking lot for the arcade.

"Fair enough." The two went in and played games for a few hours before getting bored. They then went and watched a movie and got dinner. It was almost midnight before they arrived back at Asha's.

"Goodnight, Asha," Gretchen said and waved goodbye to her friend.

"Goodnight, Gretchen; see ya later." Asha waved back and headed inside.

When Asha got inside, she found Aubrey had put flowers on the counter and a couple of gifts. She stood behind the counter with a glass of wine and smiled at Asha.

"Finally, you get home; at least it's midnight; happy anniversary!" Aubrey said, and Asha gushed.

"I love you; you always do too much." Asha sat down and started tearing into her gifts.

"Uh-huh, you're welcome." Aubrey poured her a glass of wine.

"You're supposed to say, 'I love you too.'" Asha said with an eye roll.

"That's too much pressure, chill." They clinked glasses, and when Asha was done with her gifts, she pulled out her own gift for Aubrey.

"I got you something too." Asha handed it to her, and Aubrey rolled her eyes.

"Thanks; what is it?" She asked, taking it.

"Just open it and find out," Asha said, grinning, and Aubrey sighed and opened her gift.

It was The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes by Suzanne Collins. The only one Aubrey was missing for The Hunger Games Series.

"Awe, you got me the one I was missing; I appreciate that; thank you," Aubrey said with a small smile.

"You're welcome! I love you!" Asha kissed her cheek, and Aubrey looked annoyed.

"Mhm, same here." Aubrey grabbed her hand and pulled her off to bed for some late-night fun.

Gretchen arrived home and found Caren waiting for her, "Gretchen, I'm sorry."

"I'm sure you are dickhead." Gretchen replied, still pissed.

Caren started crying, "please forgive me; I don't like when you're mad. No one understands me."

Gretchen facepalmed, "Oh jesus, alright, calm down; I'm not mad at you. I love you." Gretchen sat down and hugged Caren until they both passed out together on the couch.
