It's so dark and cold.

Why?

My eyes are open. My feet are on the ground. But it's wet. My breathes come out as puffs of warm air. I hug mysef to keep in some heat, to keep warm. Occasionally rubbing my hands together. I need fire, warmth, heat. I remember the "gift" I have. Maybe I should use it, but only bad things come from it. But who cares no one's here, I'm all alone...all alone.

Where's everybody? Where's Evelyn? Xavier? Why aren't they with me? Are they even alive?! Are they at the house? Are they safe? Did she take them? My mind started freaking out and I didn't notice the water rising to my ankles and up to my knees. I shivered.

"What's h-happening?!"

I started to walk but got stopped by a glass wall. I extended my arms to feel the rest. I was surrounded. The water started to rise higher and higher. Up my thighs,to my hips, to my waist.

"S-stop it, it's cold"

No answer.

I start to panic. I slam my palms over and over against the glass, not a crack. I violently start to kick the glass. But nothing happens. My movement was cut short because of the water in the tank. I knew that I couldn't break the glass with just my hands and feet. But my mind didn't focus, it kept punching kicking anything. I steadied my pace once I heard a crack. I wanted to use this ability  I had, like what Xavier had used at the house, but my hands were already soaked. I kept pounding at the glass as various little cracks sprouted upon the glass. Water started raising onto my chest. One more punch and I should be free. I pounded the glass once more, the glass shattered but a bright light showered against my eyes. I used my arm to cover my eyes but the water pushed me down, and my world went blank as my head collided with the floor.

I lifted my head from the floor, there was no glass shards anywhere. I lightly placed my hand on the floor and lifted myself up. I was confused.

' Where's all the glass shards?' I asked to myself.

I was interrupted by a stoic sound and a woman's voice that followed right after.

"Sorry for the interruption of your 'glass breaking session' , but Commander Grey would like to see you."

"Where's the glass shards?" I asked.

"Pardon?" She asked.

"The glass. Where'd it go?" I asked once more.

"Oh yes. That.". 

"Well, that I'm afraid, was a simulation."

She spoke again, "Well we're getting off topic now, Com. Grey wants to speak to you. There is a door to your right, just follow the lights on the floor, they would lead you to her."

I took a last glance of the room. It was dim and had white walls and floor. There was various machines against the walls, and many were in the center of the room. There is a bed in the middle which had a machine with lots of wires sprouting out of one side. I turned back to my right which had a single door. I reached the door and saw that there was little lights coming out of the floor. But something wasn't right. I stood at the door frame and turned around holding a finger up in the air. Before I spoke a word, she interrupted me. Again.

"To your left Parker."

I still stood there as a fool.

"We'll speak of this later. Ethan."

I didn't want to speak of it either but she said my name. How did she even know my name? I was already behind the doorframe, so before I even said anything else the door slammed shut. I turned on my heel and walked left. The hallway was dark, even if it does have lights peering from the ground. As I passed trough the hallway various doors became visible. Each door had at least a last name, from what I hypothesize, and a number next to it. I kept walking until a certain last name popped up. 'Arrow 18'. Why does it sound familiar? Then out of nowhere my head struck with pain. My eyes blurred as they started to show another setting. For only a few seconds I was able to see a little girl that looked like she was 8 years old. Her white hair blew as the wind softly hit her face and her red eyes became visible. She wore a white sun dress with a white sun hat that was decorated with a few yellow and red roses. But for a split second the lovely scenery turned into a hospital room with a blood soaked wall and the same little girl sat there but she had a blood soaked hospital gown, her knees were scrunched up to her chest, and one of her hands was on the wall with a message written in blood.

 ' HELP ME  '    

The 'flashback' finally stopped and I was back in the hallway. I shook off the feeling and stared back at the engraving. I started walking again and stopped at the end of the hallway. The hallway got split in two, and in the middle of both hallways held a hole. I walked closer until I saw that it was arena a few feet down. At the edge of the arena stood, what seemed to be, a 3 foot high fence. I peered down to see it completely, it had a white sandstone floor. But something caught my eye. I placed my palms gently on the railing to lean forward, and as I did, I saw a red liquid substance. My mind processed what it could be but I got interrupted as a woman's voice echoed through the hallway.

"Now, now Mr. Parker. You shouldn't be here now. Should you?"

I jumped from the railing and turned around as I gently furrowed my back upon it. It was the voice from earlier.

" I thought I told you to go to C... Never mind. Come with me." She pivoted on her heel. Her red, wavy hair bounced on her back and shoulders. She had green eyes and wore a long, grey dress along with a white lab coat, black heels, and glasses. I followed her down a few hallways and flights of stairs. Finally, we reached a door when she spoke to me.

"Okay Ethan, you will be able to enter and leave your room in the morning and afternoon, but after that you will have to place your thumb on this gadget." She spoke as she gently placed her hand on the door knob. After a few seconds a little platform popped out of the wall. But instead of making me place my thumb she opened the door with a key.

"Whatever you do, please don't come out during the night." She begged.

"Huh? Why?" I asked.

"You'll find out sooner or later."

"What do you mean?" I asked again.

"Nothing, and by the way, it isn't my fault."

"W-wait. What do you mean?!" I nearly yelled.

"I'm sorry, I can speak no more of this." Her expression became blank as she just glared into my eyes.

"B-but I-" I got cut off by the door opening. She placed her hand on my chest as a great force erupted from her palm. A gust of air pushed me inside as she mumbled something under her breath. I was able to say something to her before the door closed on us. But what I said wasn't from my mind but,  Xavier's?

"Don't do this to him... Serenity."

"How did you?-" The speaker rang before she finished her sentence.

"Serenity Black please report to Commander Grey's office she would like to have a word with you." The speaker finished it's announcement.

"No matter, I understand." Her stoic expression turned soft and into a smile before the door clasped shut.

I began to panic once I couldn't see her. She still didn't explain herself. I threw myself to the door and began to punch the door. I placed my palm on the door and began to shoot. Causing a few dents here and there.

"E-Ethan?" A groggy voice erupted. I didn't  listen.

"Ethan stop it!"

I stopped and shifted my attention towards the voice. It was Evelyn.

"Oh thank god"

"I thought I was alone-" My body fell limp to the floor.

"ETHAN!!!" Was the last before everything went black.

OMG I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPLOADING IN LIKE WHAT TWO : THREE MONTHS.

I AM TRYING TO UPLOAD THE NEXT CHAP IN LIKE A WEEK

I AM ACTUALLY HALF WAY DONE WITH CHAPTER 10 SO I HOPE YOU LIKE IT AND I AM N0T SURE IF IT WILL BE SHORTER THAN THIS ( MARKIMOO'S VOICE  )  BUT AS ALWAYS I WILL SEE YOU IN THE NEXT ONE BUH BYE~
