It was late night when Madhulika saw Shivaay sitting at the house bar and drinking bourbon. Madhulika walked towards him in anger.

M- Shivaay, what's going on? Who is this girl? Why are you behaving like that? And why is Mallika not answering my calls?

A lone tear slipped from Shivaay's eyes. Madhulika got worried as she had never seen Shivaay so broken.

Madhulika cupped Shivaay's face.

M- Shivaay, what happened? Why are you crying? Your silence is making me worried.

S- Taai, Malli... My Malli....

Shivaay started crying hysterically. Madhulika rubbed his back to calm him down as tears made their way through her eyes.

M- What happened to Mallika, Shivaay? Is she fine?

S- Mi maa, my Malli committed sui... suicide... She killed herself.

Shivaay said while crying and Madhulika cupped her mouth in shock.

Madhulika grabbed Shivaay's collar and slapped him hard.

M- Are you even in your senses right now? Do you know what you're saying? My Mallika wasn't that weak... She could never...

Shivaay just fell on his knees and cried. Madhulika sat in front of him.

M- Shivaay, tell me it's a lie.

Shivaay looked at her and shook his head in negative. Madhulika burst into tears.

M- My Mallika. My baby.

Shivaay also cried along with her.

S- I did her final rites with my own hands.

Shivaay said while looking at his hands as tears were continuously from his eyes.

M- What... What about Abhay? How is he holding up?

Shivaay looked at Mallika with blood shot eyes. His eyes were spitting fore on the mention of Abhay's name.

S- That b*st*rd died for good. He's the reason that my sister committed suicide. He was involved in a car accident and he died on the spot. He was bl**dy cheating on her.

Madhulika cupped her mouth in shock.

M- What? He loved Mallika very much. He couldn't do it. I'm sure there's a misunderstanding. Mallika was everything for him. What about that girl? Who is she? How is she related to all this?

Shivaay was fuming in anger now.

S- She's also the reason why my sister committed suicide and why Abhay cheated on my sister. She was also in that accident. She was Abhay's girlfriend and now she is shamelessly carrying his child. Its her good luck that she lost her memory in that accident Otherwise she would be praying for death in this moment.

Madhulika immediately wiped her tears.

M- how are you so sure about this, Shivaay? She doesn't look like some Cunning girl. Maybe she was just travelling with him. Someone he knew.

Shivaay glared at Madhulika.

S- The hospital matched the baby's DNA to Abhay's and it's his. How would you say that it's innocent? It's clear that he was cheating on my sister. He was building his family with another woman while my sister was blindly in love with him.

Madhulika sighed in defeat. All the facts were against Anika but her heart wasn't ready to believe that Anika was a woman who would Destroy another woman's family.

She caressed her forehead in worry. It was too much to take in.

M- Shivaay, I don't know if that girl is innocent or not but she isn't in a good state right now. She suffered from such a big accident and she's pregnant too. You just can't punish her for the sins which she doesn't even remember. Her condition got worse after the little stunt you pulled today. I don't know why do you want to take revenge from her. If she is guilty then Abhay was guilty too and we don't know the whole truth so how can you just punish her. She's already suffering so much.

Shivaay sighed in disappointment.

S-  she has to pay for her sins. She doesn't deserve happiness when she spoiled my sister's happiness.

Shivaay said with teary eyes. Madhulika cupped his cheeks.

M- I know you're in pain right now but remember that I made you better person so always think before doing anything. Okay?

Shivaay nodded his head.

M- Go. Have some sleep. You're looking very tired.

Shivaay nodded his head and left for his bedroom.

Madhulika closed her eyes and joined her eyes.

M- God, I don't know what's wrong or right but please don't let the innocent suffer. Please give strength to my Shivaay.

Madhulika wiped her tears and went to her bedroom.

Shivaay was walking towards his room when he heard anika whimpering in pain.

He opened her bedroom door and saw Anika crying in pain while clutching her head. As he walked towards her, he saw that she was still asleep.

He looked at the bedside table and noticed some painkillers. He filled the water in the glass. He sat beside Anika.

S- Hey... Wake up. Have this medicine.

He made Anika sit while holding her back. Anika was half lying on him.

He kept the tablet in her mouth and made her drink water.

Now Anika was fully awake. She looked at Shivaay with a small smile. Shivaay saw that she was awake now so he removed his hand from her back and stood up.

S- sleep.

He said while walking out of the room.

Anika looked at Shivaay's retreating figure and her eyes got filled with tears.

She slowly lied down on the bed and closed her eyes. She slowly drifted into sleep.

While Anika slept peacefully, Shivaay was awake whole night, looking at his and Mallika's pictures with teary eyes and remembering their time together.
