3. The donor's will

I had expected him to take me immediately, to take advantage of my stretched state and just shove himself inside of me.

He didn't.

Instead, he crawled over the bed, still fully clothed, his shoes still on, and took me into his mouth.

I was taken completely by surprise. I leaned my head back as he bobbed his head up and down, up and down, moaning.

I had never heard him moan before.

I, however, was screaming.

The sensation was so different compared to a hand, softer and wetter and more all-encompassing. And professor Senju was, without a doubt, incredibly skilled. He twirled his tongue, deep-throated, licked at the top and pressed with his lips until I came into his mouth, blushing as I screamed, not daring to watch. I wondered if he would spit or swallow, but to my astonishment he grabbed my cheeks, forced them open, and kissed me, letting me eat myself.

I took it. I took it for him, just like I would take anything for him.

He looked down on me, eyes dark, his gaze boring into my brain.

"Professor Senju..." I breathed, my mouth sticky.

He unbuckled his belt, unzipped his trousers and I could see he was pulsing, the veins bulging. He grabbed my legs, pulled them above my head, put his tip towards me. He didn't break eye contact as he penetrated me and started moving, hitting my prostrate for each soft thrust.

We had sex for a long time, me moaning, him grunting, his eyes on mine but from time to time taking a break to look at his dick going in and out, in and out.

"Say my name", he demanded.

"W... What?"

He connected our foreheads.

"Say my name."

"P- Professor Senju?" I said pathetically.

"No. My real name", he demanded.

"Ha... Ha..." I began, then looked to the side. I had never said his name before. "I can't."

"Do it", he said. "Or I'll fail you in my class."

"Hashi..." I whispered, barely audible.

"I didn't hear you."

"Hashi!"

"Again!!"

"Hashi!! Aaahhhhhh!!"

I came again, taken completely by surprise, and he roared as he came, too, filling me up, his body convulsing. I had never seen him get an orgasm like that before, and when he was done, he connected our foreheads again, exhausted.

"You filthy whore", he said softly. "You utterly disgusting piece of trash. Look at you, being a slut for your professor. Daring to speak his name."

I put my arms around his neck playfully, kissed him on his lips.

"I'll do it", I said.

"What are you talking about?" he asked, a confused look on his face.

I tried to shut Madara's voice out of my head.

"I'll join your research project."

It would decide the pathway of the rest of my life in a way I could never have anticipated.

"Have you ever seen a dead body?"

Our shoes echoed in the hallway. We were in a building quite separate from the rest of the university. It was an old building, worn-down, the corridor where we walked made of tiles from floor to ceiling. It was incredibly eerie.

And it suited the situation very well.

"No", I said nervously.

"I need you to steel yourself." professor Senju looked at me sideways. "Don't be afraid. But be prepared."

It started to hit me exactly what we were going to do. I wouldn't say it was sick, as the ethics had been given after meticulous conversations between professor Senju and the ethics board. But everything had been done quite in the dark, by professor Senju alone.

And now me as well.

And no wonder. Many people would, in fact, describe it as sick, what he did. I didn't know what I thought. But as he had explained what he was trying to so, I did see hope. Hope for the future. Hope for medicine and science and many other aspects of the world, some of which I might not even have thought of.

"Here's my lab." He smiled warmly when he saw me stiffen up. "Don't worry. This is not where the freezer is. The freezer is where his body is preserved", he added when he saw my confused expression.

As if that made things better.

He opened the door to a room that was so modern, it caught me completely off guard after the state of the rest of the building. The lab was full of futuristic computer screens, hardware, keyboards and devices even I had never seen before. Some of the screens were on, working codes, while others were off. The whole room was cast in a blue light from the computer screens. Professor Senju did not turn on the light in the ceiling.

"This is where0l. I work", he said. "Loads of code. But my main piece is this."

He went to the middle of the room where there was a separate table on which stood a huge hard disk and screen.

"Wow", I said.

"It's the AI I've been working on. Now, I told you the gist before, but I wanted to give you slightly more detailed information."

I sat down on a high stool, dangling my legs. I enjoyed seeing professor Senju in this environment, I thought. He looked very much at home, and smarter than I have ever seen him.

"Give me all you've got, professor", I said flirtatiously.

"This is serious, Izuna", professor Senju suddenly said, turning to look at me, his eyes suddenly pleading.

To my surprise, I felt hurt. A pang in my heart for doing wrong. For upsetting him when this was his life's work. I tried to tell myself that you could not live a life when other people becoming upset by your wrongdoings would end up being all about my own sadness for causing said wrongdoings.

"I'm sorry", I said.

"Don't worry", he said, more softly now. "But I would love to explain."

"Please."

He turned to his computer.

"You already know this, but artificial intelligence means a program that can teach itself. I, for example, give it information on how to recognise pictures of a cow, and it can then use that information to analyse pictures and pick out which ones are of cows. And while working, it will teach itself to become even better at recognising cows."

He turned the computer on and wrote an incredibly strong password on the keyboard. His fingers flew over the keyboard even faster than mine. Men who wrote fast always made my heart pound; it was something about those capable fingers...

I forced myself to snap out of it.

"The problem with AI, nowadays, however, is..." he said.

He looked at me, raising an eyebrow. It suddenly struck me he was checking whether I had listened during his lectures or not.

"It's not really AI", I said. "It learns what we tell it to learn. Like becoming better at recognising cows. It does not, however, figure out it would be beneficial to learn to recognise horses as well. It doesn't give itself new tasks."

"Exactly", he said. "We need more power to do that. Not just power, but a network that can store, and process, and bring forth... Compute." He looked at me. "You know what I mean. I know you do."

I looked down.

"A human brain", I whispered.

"A human brain." He clicked on something with the mouse, feeding out a chip of the computer which he held to me. "The AI I've created can do a lot of work on the computer that a true AI should. It already is. But it needs more to reach its full potential. I've stored the AI in this chip. I need your help to implant it in a human brain. Meanwhile, I will work on making it teach itself how to control a human body and use the brain for sight, hearing, smell, and everything else it will need."

"You're creating an artificial human", I whispered.

"Yes." He looked to the side. "With a donor's body."

I felt a lump in my throat that climbed up through my neck and became a headache, a feeling I knew meant I was close to crying. I wasn't sure why.

"Will it have feelings?"

The professor didn't look at me, but he was quiet for a while, letting me know he was deep in thought.

"I don't know", he finally said. "I have done some reading on neurology to try and find out, but I can't figure it out. I could probably ask someone more competent in neurology than me, but that would mean I would have to reveal what I was doing to someone I do not know, and also, frankly, I..." Professor Senju stopped, thinking again. Then, he looked up at me. "This is scary to me, too, Izuna. I'm not scared he will go berserk, or destroy humanity as I can code over that. But I am afraid I will create a feeling, thinking human being."

"So you'll try to prevent that?"

He shook his head.

"No. I want that. I want to see how far my creation can go. But it still scares me."

"How on earth did you get ethics for this?" I asked.

"By the donor's will, mostly", professor Senju said. "He knew about my work, and left behind a letter that stated he wanted his body to be used in my research for artificial intelligence. The rest, however, was up to me. I showed them how an artificial intelligence planted in a human brain can create a human with endless intellectual capacity. We're talking cancer treatment here. The solution to global warming. This is huge, Izuna." He came up to me then where I sat on the pallet, put his hands on my face. Instinctively, I grabbed his wrists as he lovingly caressed my skin with his thumbs. "But I need your help. Are you ready to meet the donor?"

We walked then, hand in hand, further down that tiled corridor. Professor Senju had the chip in his other hand, clenching it as if the entire future of the world depended on it.

As it did.

Little did I know what that chip well and truly contained.
