This is it, the world coming to an end.

Recapping my life, was I a good enough person? could I have been a better friend.

I know my life may come to an end,

Was I a good enough person to see the gates of heaven?

My thoughts were interrupted by a booming sound.

Looking up from behind the car where I sat on the ground,

So much destruction that surrounds.

Many were running in different directions all around.

I gasp taking in my surroundings,

As everything happens in slow motion as it's unfolding.

My God, I feel it and I know it's the last breath I am holding.

Bodies fell as shots were fired,

I am laughing now at earlier when I was worrying about the thought of being hired.

Now all that's running through my mind is the very thought to survive,

To live another day alive.

But that flew out the window all thoughts of ever staying alive,

Because a meter from where I was a group of alien figures had arrive.

They had machine guns blazing from where I could see,

Blazing one moment, the next they had it pointing at me.

I don't think humans ever stood a chance,

To stand up and fight for themselves once.

Looking around I don't think but believe we never stood a chance.

As they had their guns pointed at me,

Everything became clearer to see.

I don't feel anything but numb,

I have accepted what needs to be done.

I prayed knowing my time on earth as come to an end.

Please dear God, I am begging you let me please see the gates of heaven.

Because finally my life as come to on end.
