Christmas Special Part Two
I think you know who I chose to be the last ghost.
After the Ghost of Christmas Past left, Lola and Lynn were left standing in a black void. It was honestly nerve racking, but Lynn wouldn't admit that it scared her.
"Uh, Lynn? Don't you think that we should rethink what we did to Lincoln?" Lola asked.
"Why should we? He was causing me to lose all of my games so...." Lynn started to say before Lola interrupted.
"It's just...things have gone downhill since he disappeared. How could his supposed bad luck affect us if he could be far away from Royal Woods." Lola said.
"Things will get better. I know it will." Lynn said. Lola was about to make a reply, but a voice cut her off when it said:
You poor delusional child.
The pair jumped up and turned around to see another familiar face wearing a green dress and leaves in her hair.
"You must be the next ghost. Who decided to become...Lana?" Lola asked.
"That is correct. Though I may ask how you knew that I wasn't your sister." The ghost said.
"Lana isn't exactly the dress type. Besides, I guess you're the Ghost of Christmas Present." Lola said.
"How did you figure that?" Lynn asked causing her sister to roll her eyes.
"Come on, Lynn...The first one was the Ghost of Christmas Past so it's understandable that we'll get one for the present and future." Lola said.
"That is correct. I have come to show you something in the present." The Ghost of Christmas Present said.
"Let's just get this over with." Lynn said.
"No wonder, the last ghost looked upset. You are really stubborn to learn from your mistakes." The Ghost said.
"That's because I know that I am right. Besides, after that bad luck..." Lynn started to say before Lola elbowed her in the left side. As she glared at Lola, the ghost looked down and sighed before snapping her fingers.
"Uh...Where are we?" Lola asked as she looked around and saw that they were in somewhere that had pink everywhere.
"We are in space." The Ghost said.
"Space? Why would Lincoln be in space?" Lynn asked.
"He's in space because..." The ghost said before a huge blue woman walked past them followed by a small male. The sight of her caused both Lola and Lynn to gasp since they never seen anyone who looked like her before.
"Who is that?" Lola asked.
"That is Lincoln's new mother, Blue Diamond." The Ghost said. The answer caused both Lynn and Lola to look at the ghost with shock on their faces. After some time, Lola shook her head and asked a question on both of their minds.
"New mother? What about our mom?" Lola asked.
"What about her? To your brother, your parents have lost his love and respect due to their despicable actions." The Ghost said.
"What about us?" Lola asked.
"He cares for some of you, but the both of you need to understand that some of you have lost the trust that he has." The Ghost said. The answer caused both of their hearts to hurt, but Lynn decided to ignore it. Lincoln was bad luck. He wasn't family. She wasn't wrong...right? Lola wanted to ask more before the ghost started to follow behind Blue Diamond and the mysterious boy next to her.
"So during this time of year, you used to celebrate Christmas?" Blue Diamond asked.
"Yes. I used to celebrate with my former parents and sisters back in Royal Woods. Unfortunately, after what happened...I don't that I'm in the mood to celebrate it this year." The boy said.
"Is that boy..." Lynn began to say before the Ghost answered.
"Yes. That is Lincoln." The Ghost said.
"How did my br...that bad luck come to look like that?" Lynn said. The Ghost caught the small mistake in Lynn's statement and knew that these lessons were somewhat working. Though it may take something extreme to break this stubborn nature about her brother being bad luck to break.
"They bonded and became family. Something that most of you haven't done due to this bad luck nonsense." The Ghost said before Blue Diamond spoke.
"You can always celebrate it with me. Though I don't think that we can give each other gifts." Blue Diamond said.
"That's okay. Besides, I want to know more about you." Lincoln said.
"Really?" Blue Diamond asked.
"I mean we are family after all and I don't want our bond to become like the one between my former mother and I." Lincoln said.
"That's so sweet, but don't you miss some of them?" Blue Diamond asked.
"Yes, but many of them pushed me past the point of hopelessly forgiving them without question. Not to mention break the trust that I have with them especially Lynn." Lincoln said. As soon as he spoke that, the pair were back in the black void with heavy hearts. Lola looked devastated to hear that Lincoln may hate her and distrusted her. While Lynn tried to hide her heart.
"S..So what? I don't miss Lincoln and I certainly aren't hurt by the words that he said." Lynn asked. The Ghost of Christmas Present just started to walk away, but not before saying:
We'll see about that.
Leaving the girls alone to see the last ghost.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
