Chapter Seven: Reactions Part Three

This goes back to the events of chapter two where Lori and some others are taken to the jail before going to the present.

Clyde McBride stared at the scene of his best friend's family being separated with various emotions running through his mind. Though he couldn't help himself from thinking that they deserved this for basically throwing his best friend outside for being bad luck. He could almost scoff at that since he knew the truth about everything. He knew that his crush..no, former crush agreed wholeheartedly to throw him outside without a second thought. How his parents never thought about the consequences of what this would bring and why this all happened in the first place.

After all of that, part of him still cared for them while the other part hated them for what they drove his best friend to do. Though he could say he couldn't have Lily and Lucy since they at least knew that this entire thing was crazy and ridiculous. Besides he knew that Lynn basically forced Lincoln to go by force. A fact that made the entire situation worse since it meant that she blamed him for losing the game when she forced him to go in the first place.

Shaking his head, he saw Lori being loaded into the police car with a shocked expression on her face. It was like she didn't know that kicking out her little brother wasn't a crime. Now he can understand Leni not knowing that, but the others should really know what they can or can't do. It was just another reason to lose interest in a woman who has done nothing, but be horrible to her own flesh and blood.

"OMG, what happened here?" A voice said. He turned his attention to another blonde woman who he recognized as Carol Pringrey. He heard stories of their rivalry from Lincoln and how she seemed to be a serious and honest person. Though he didn't recognize the people next to her minus Becky who hung out with Lori often.

"I don't really know, but it seems like a good idea to take a picture." The woman next to Carol said.

"Wait, Dana...Are you sure that it's wise to do that? I mean, who knows what consequences could follow." Carol said.

"She's right. You never know what could happen...." Another woman said. Dana just rolled her eyes and decided to post it on her socials. An action that Clyde wrote off at the time until he woke up with his phone going off like crazy. Turns out, the photo that got posted went viral and got some interesting comments about it. Though some went crazy about feeling sorry for some of them...while others bashed the older Louds.

"I wonder how they're going to take this." He said to himself. It's not like he didn't wish this on them, but he wouldn't take a picture and post it. Some rational people would see it as a form of bullying, but who knows? Maybe this will blow over and they will be able to get their lives back after spending some time away. Then again, once pictures are posted on the Internet...they will stay on there forever.

Speaking of the Older Louds, Lori sat down in the cafeteria with her head low. She didn't want to get into trouble with any of these ladies here. Especially since she didn't know each of them were in for.

"Lori, do you think that we have a chance?" Luna asked. Lori was about to answer before she gasped and stared at the TV with shock on her face. An expression that caused her sisters and mother to look at her with concern.

"Lori? What's wrong?" Rita asked.

"I think our chances just got a bit more complicated." Lori said as she pointed at the TV. Her sisters and mother turned around to see what caused her such distress. When they did, their faces quickly mirrored Lori's cause what they saw was the picture being talked about on the news. A picture that would force some unwanted attention from people in multiple places around the world.

Unknown to all of them, Dana was being glared at by her friends who tried to warn her about the consequences of posting that photo. As she was getting scorned, one thought was running through her mind:

I made a terrible mistake.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
