Chapter 5:Un-broken and Un-bowed

sighs'

A sigh escaped my lips as the water cascaded over my body, the sensation soothing my tense muscles. I longed to stay in the water, escaping the drama that had unfolded. I couldn't fathom how someone like her could be so feisty, unafraid to stand up to me when others trembled at the mere mention of my name. She had yelled and shouted, but how long could she sustain this defiance? Eventually, she would crumble, and when that moment came, I would be ready. I would break her in front of her father, and then it would be his turn. The thought brought a smirk to my face as I stepped out of the shower and dressed in my bedroom.

As I reached for my phone, a call came in. I rolled my eyes, knowing that the caller wouldn't give up if I didn't answer. "Speak," I said, my voice cold and detached.

"A cold voice instructed, "Come to the room where the girl is being held." I sighed annoyedly, "What's going on now?" The voice on the other end replied, "That girl tried to escape and took down 50 of our men." My brow rose in surprise, "Interesting. Keep her in check, I'm on my way."

After ending the call, I exited my room and headed toward the guest room where I had left her. Upon entering, I was met with a sight that piqued my interest. "So, you've got guts, huh?" I murmured, gazing at her with a smirk. She yelled, "LET ME GO!!"

I chuckled, walking closer to her. "Let you go? Why should I?" I grasped her hair, pulling her head back. "Look, I know you're not involved in this, but..." I tightened my grip, cutting off her air supply. "I want your father."

Her eyes widened, and she struggled against me, but I held firm. She was at my mercy, and she knew it.

I tossed her onto the bed, and Steve and I flanked her, our eyes fixed on our captive. "There's a story behind all this," I began, my voice low and menacing.

"What story, you asshole?" she growled, struggling against her restraints.

I smirked, ignoring her feeble threats. "Your father, the great businessman, was once a humble servant in this very house."

"LIAR!" she spat, her eyes blazing with anger.

I leaned forward, my gaze cold and calculating. "Remember, I can do whatever I want to your mother and brother. Don't test me."

She sneered, "My father's family has been wealthy for centuries. His ancestors were rich and powerful."

I let out a cold, mirthless laugh, exchanging an amused glance with Steve. "Oh, she believes that, Steve. The innocence is almost... cute."

My grin turned sinister. "That's the story your father told you, sweetheart. But the real truth is far more... interesting."

I leaned in, my temper simmering just below the surface. "Alright, then. Let me tell you the real story... ". "What are you waiting for? The Christmas, Tell me the real story, you piece of shit"...

You dare to insult me?" I sneered, my gun trained on her. "One more curse word and the next thing your father will receive is news of your demise."

Her voice was icy cold, and my gaze bore into her soul. "Tell me the truth."

She glared at me, but I could see the fear lurking behind her eyes. She was eager to know the secrets, and I was more than happy to enlighten her.

"Ah, yes, let's reveal the truth," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Your precious father, the great businessman, has been hiding secrets for far too long. Secrets that will change everything you thought you knew about your family's legacy..."

I paused, savoring the moment, as she hung on my every word, her eyes wide with anticipation and terror.

She glared at me, but I could see the fear lurking behind her eyes. She was eager to know the secrets, and I was more than happy to enlighten her.

Here's the truth, sweetheart," I began, my voice dripping with venom. "Your father, Fredwik, was more than just a loyal servant to my parents. He was their most trusted confidant, entrusted with the care of my brother and me. But one fateful day, everything went wrong. Our parents were accused of being mafias and arrested by the police. But here's the twist - they were innocent. The allegations were false, and they died for a crime they didn't commit. And it's all because of your father's betrayal."

Her expression froze, and she whispered, "What did my father do?"

I leaned in, my voice deadly cold. "He was the one who framed my parents, who orchestrated the whole setup. He was the mole, the traitor who brought down our family's empire. And now, it's time for him to pay the price."

I let out a bitter chuckle. "Your father was the one who provided the file and fake evidence. He was the mastermind behind the setup."

She scoffed, "How can I trust you? You must be lying."

I anticipated her skepticism and nodded to Steve, who handed me the file. I tossed it at her, and it landed on her lap. "Read it for yourself," I said, my gaze piercing. "But don't think you'll be leaving here without understanding the truth."

I walked over to her, my eyes never leaving hers, and opened the file. The contents spilled out, revealing the damning evidence against her father. I stood there, waiting for her to read the documents, the silence between us thick with tension.

As she scanned the papers, her expression changed from defiance to shock, and finally, to horror. The truth was sinking in, and I could see the realization dawning on her - her father's betrayal, his deceit, and his role in destroying my family.

Time skip: "This can't be... Dad can't do this," she stammered, disbelief etched on her face.

"That's the harsh truth," I grumbled, my tone unyielding.

She pleaded, "I know what happened to you was unfair, and you deserve justice. I'll help you, but please, let me go."

I let out a bitter chuckle. "You think we're playing a game here? This isn't a joke. Your father will face consequences, and as for you... I'll deal with you later."

She begged, "Please, you don't understand. My brother needs me; he can't live without me."

I smirked, my grip on her neck tightening as I pulled her close. "In your dreams," I whispered, my eyes locked on hers. I released her, and she gasped for air, falling back onto the bed.

Steve and I exited the room, leaving her in a state of despair. "What's our next move?" Steve asked, breaking the silence.

"Keep her alive until..." I trailed off, my mind already planning the next step in my revenge.

We don't always get what we want," I said, my voice laced with resentment.

Steve nodded in agreement. "That bastard won't hesitate to sacrifice his daughter for his interests."

"He only treasures one thing - money. And he'll stop at nothing to get it, even if it means marrying her off to that billionaire," I continued, my anger simmering.

"You think he'll save his daughter for the sake of his ambitions?" Steve asked, his tone skeptical.

I descended the stairs, my footsteps echoing through the silence. "He'll do whatever it takes to secure his position, even if it means betraying his flesh and blood". As I savored the cool water from my cup, my phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence. I pulled it out and glanced at the caller ID, and a sly smirk spread across my face. "Interesting," I thought to myself, my mind already racing with possibilities. The caller's identity had piqued my interest, and I was eager to answer, knowing that this conversation could be quite... enlightening.
