Sydney woke up to Nick exclaiming something. He looked up burry eyed and back aching. It was past noon and his head was hurting. Wait. IT WAS PAST NOON! Sydney shot up and remembered that there was a naked dude sitting on their floor and groaned.

At least it seemed like nothing was stolen. He had to get to work, and he had to get Lou out of his house and hopefully to his own without Nick calling the police. When Sydney tried to stand he shook violently and almost collapsed. Stupid legs falling asleep on him.

"I went ahead and called you in sick. I called in sick as well..." Nick was watching the half naked man as he looked down at his older brother. "But...what the hell is this you brought home some man? From where?"

Lou stirred, moving slowly.

"Uh, hard to explain, care to go to the living room?" Sydney said finally regaining his balance. He straightened out his pants and walked into the other room before starting to speak in a fast whisper. "He was outside, it was cold, I was taking a breather, and he was naked. What was I suppose to do, Nicky, leave him there? He was probably drunk and delusional and I didn't want him to die on our car."

Sydney looked around nervously. He felt like shit and his back was killing him. Not to mention now he would have to deal with the guy getting back home safely. More money down the drain for a Uber or a cab.

Lou had climbed up to his feet, the blanket wrapped around his body. He sighed heavily and was shocked to see that there was another man there. He stopped in his tracks. "Hello."

Sydney looked at Lou and swallowed thickly. "Nice of you to join the world of the living. Lou, this is my brother Nicky, Nicky this is the nak-" He paused and looked over to his brother, "Lou, this is Lou Terrior." Sydney couldn't guess what his brother was thinking at the moment and it worried him a bit not knowing what was going to happen between the two.

Lou gave a startlingly charming smile and reached his hand out to shake hands with Nick. Nick kept his arms crossed over his chest for a moment. He hesitated on shaking the mans hand. Lou had dried blood on his hands and chest, Nick noticed.

Sydney clapped his hands in lieu of all of the awkwardness that just occurred. "It's time to start the day. Nick can you get some of your clothes for Lou to use. Lou you can clean up the blood in the sink and then call someone to come pick you up. I can call a cab, but if you can get someone else that would be better. I am going to work on getting drunk enough to start fixing the car and baking the cookies for Jason." Sydney said pushing past Lou to get back into the kitchen to grab at least four beers.

Nick walked with his brother into the kitchen, and stepped him beside the fridge. "So do you think that we have anything to worry about with him? Hes got a lot of blood on him, Sydney." Nick said.

Lou went to the bathroom sink and turned the water on. He washed the blood clean from his hands and face, sighing. It was nice to be clean. Lou's fangs were visible if he opened his mouth and his eyes were, oddly, a yellow color.

"I don't know, Nick. I spent the night sitting by a heating vent in the kitchen for Christ sake, if he wanted to kill me he would have. Honestly I didn't notice how much blood there was. I saw it on his chest but it was hard to tell without light so I just figured he'd had a tough time." Sydney yawned and popped open the beer bottle. "All I know is that he's leaving, and then I'm going to do something with my hands, I don't know what that will be yet."

"Maybe we should work on that old car." Nick felt uncomfortable with that man being alone in their house, free to wander around. He heard the sink turn off and his shoulders slumped in something like defeat.

"Yeah, good plan." Sydney said shutting the fridge door. "You pull out the tools, I'll get rid of Mr. High-and-Mighty. Hopefully we won't see him again after this." Sydney said, not hurtfully, but tired and soft.

He left Nick in the kitchen and pulled out some of Nicks old clothes he had outgrown. Then he knocked on he bathroom door that was slightly ajar. "Here are some clothes and my phone. Call someone to pick you up and come outside when you're done. Nick and I should be working on the car out there." He left the clothes by the door.

Lou nodded. He seemed to be grateful, but disconnected from what was going on around him. He pulled the clothes on. The pants and shirt were a bit too big, but they fit well enough to clothe him. He picked up the phone, and agave a call to his secretary, flirting with her as he walked outside with the phone in hand.

Sydney deliberately did not look at Lou when he came out of the apartment. Instead he helped Nick carry tools out of the house and opened the hood of the car once again. "How to fix a god awful engine 101, Nicky hand me that screwdriver we have to unscrew some things." Sydney said pointing to one of his personal tool boxes. He smiled at his brother, it's been a long time since he worked on anything with Nick, and he had a feeling today would be a good one.

Nick picked up one of the screwdrivers, a Phillips head, and sighed. He handed the tool over to his brother and looked down at the engine of the car, eyebrows raised. "I'm sure youre the best of the best." He chuckled.

It took a bit, but eventually with a few trips to the scrap yard and a tremendous amount of luck the engine became usable and the car could be turned on if Sydney was willing to have a spark or explosion destroy the car. He sighed and took out the keys.

He was now trying to get all the dead leaves and, unfortunately, small dead animals out of the hood and bottom of the car. He tossed the keys to Nick and asked him to pop the trunk to see what else the car held.

Nick caught the keys from the air when his brother tossed them his way. He smiled and went around to the back of the car, where the busted trunk was closed. He put the key in the lock, turned it and opened the trunk. He stopped in shock.

"What in the hell..." He said. Weapons, immaculately ordered and strapped down, covered the trunk.

"What?" Sydney said bumping his head on the hood and exclaiming something vulgar. He followed Nick to the back of the car. "The. Fuck."

Nick picked up a knife that was loose from any straps or holsters. "Who was this guy...?"
