I watched the new wolf curisoly. He definetly was diffrent. He didn't really talk to anyone, he just did his own things. He sat by his log all alone. Horan sat next to me grooming his fur. Peppermint charged over to me. " Can you help me?" She panted. " Sure, what do you need?" "Umm, well follow me." I looked at Horan, he just nodded. I followed her into the woods. " You know the new wolf right, well his name is sage. And..... well I like him. I need help.. you know making him like me." I nodded my head slowly. " Well you know.. you can't make a wolf like you, it kind of just happens." I told her gently. " Well, Just help me!" She growled. I ruffled my fur. " Ok, first be nice to him, get to know him, and always have backup, like me." I said smiling. We walked around a thorn a bush. " Then when you feel like your ready, make him like you, like flirt with him. You want to always act proud. Hold your tail and head high. Wolves like other wolves that have pride. And if there is any tension, lighten it with a joke." She nodded, I giggled when she was holding her tail and head high. " Now come on, lets try this out." I told her. We charged back into camp. Sage was sitting by his log, eating a small rabbit. Snow was gentley falling in camp. Peppermint went over and started to talk to Sage. I was eating a squrriel with Horan when Splotch walked out of the camp with dawn, she was icebergs pup. I didn't really care so I just shrugged it off. I spent the day lying around with Horan.

"HELP! HELP!" That was Splotchs voice, and his voice was muffled by something. He chargged into camp holding Dawns limp body in his jaws. Splotchs eyes were glazed with sadness. Iceberg came charging out of the log. " DAWN!" She screeched. " Im sorry, but shes gone." Splotch said giving her to the distrought mother. Wolves were emerging from dens with mummurs of sadness and grief. Somme was standing next to a small stump. He padded over to her smirking. Why was he smirking, this was sad. He was probaly sad to, just happy to see Somme. I pushed it to the back of my head. There were other things to worry about.
