I sat watching dusk run around the camp playing with Blossom. His little feet were stomping when he got caught. Horan padded over to me with a tiny rabbit. He sat it by my paws. "How are you and the pups?" He asked, worry creeping into his voice. "Fine. Thank you for the rabbit." I said taking a bit of the rabbit. "How much longer until you have them?" He asked. I sighed. "Horan I dont know, they will come when they come. And It dosen't feel like the time yet." I said taking another bite. The sun was sinking below the horizon as I finished.  I lay next to Peppermint, who has talking my head off about how her pups are going to be the cutest. "Peppermint, I think we got that your pups are going to be the cutest. Everyone knows." I teased gently. I rested my head on my paws. "I am just going to my nest." I said pushing myself to my paws.

I lay in my nest. My mind was clear but sleep wasn't coming. Moonlight shone down on my nest. Staute was walking heavily out of the den. I waited until she was out to follow her. I jumped to my paws. Horan groaned as I walked past him. I clamberd out of the den. Stautes tail disapperd in some bushes. I followed slowly and quietly.

We had been walking for a while. I was hiding in some bushes, when Statue made a nest and settled into it. I head say something like 'I have to has this pup, I just have to.' Staute didn't have a mate so something was happening.

Hours passed until something wriggled around in the leaf nest. I padded over to Staute slowly.  She lifted her head weakly. "I knew you were here the whole time. I need you to do something for me." She rasped quietly. I nodded my head, although I was very confused. "Take care of him." She said gesturing to the small black and white pup. I could feel my jaw hit the ground. "But he is your pup." I said startled. " Its my time, I want you to have him. There is no one better than you that would take care of him. Please take him.' She said, her voice growing weaker and weaker with each word. I knew I had to take him, but how would I keep it a secret. "My pups haven't even come though." I said puzzled. 'Take him." She said rasping "I will. Whats his name? Whos his father?" I asked trying to figure everything out. "She lifted her head weakly. "Name him whatever you want." She said weakly. "But who's his father?" I asked curiously. She lifted her head slightly. "Only time will tell." She said as she took her last breath. Her body went limp. "Staute! Staute get up!" I whined. I looked at the small heap of fur next to her. I picked it up. Tears formed in my eyes making my vision blury.  "Im going to name you Pixel." I whisperd quietly as pain gripped my heart. He is mine. And nothing is going to stop that. Staute left him in my paws. And he will never know the truth.
