Deathbringer flew back to where he had left Glory with her friends and was surprised to see them laughing as if nothing.

They don't know anything, keep it that way.

He smirked as an idea came to mind. It wouldn't hurt to eavesdrop a little.
Would it?

He glided through the back of where he had seen them sitting and talking. Deathbringer landed quietly and stealthily waited hidden in the trees.

Vibrance was the first one to speak.

"So, you and Deathbringer huh? I actually kinda expected that."

Deathbringer's smirk grew as he saw Glory's scales fighting to turn pink.

"It's not the. I'm not. We aren't. Well, I guess... you could call it a thing."

Deathbringer saw Vigilant shuffle a little closer to the trees and farther away from Vibrance and Glory. He guessed he was uncomfortable with the subject. He saw Vibrance smirk as a thought struck her.

"Have you two, you know? Done something...?"

Deathbringer held in a laugh as Glory's scales were practically glowing in pink.

"No! We-"

She got cut off by Deathbringer walking in and finishing the sentence for her.

"We will soon though."

He and their friends laughed as Glory covered her head with her wings.

"You're not funny Deathbringer," was her muffled response, her scales still pink.

He lifted Glory's head and covered their conversation from Vibrance and Vigilant with his left wing.

To their friends it looked as if they were kissing privately, but it was whole different story.

Deathbringer whispered in her ear what he had picked up from his observations and friendly talk with Vigilant along the week.

Glory smirked and her scales changed to an amusing yellow.

Deathbringer lifted his wing bringing them back to the conversation.

"So Vibrance, tell me," Glory said, "how's Vigilant in bed?"

She started chuckling as Vibrance turned as pink as Glory had been a minute ago. Her eyes were wide and the surprise on them was hilarious.

Vigilant just talonpalmed himself remembering what he had told Deathbringer.

"Seriously dude? I told you to keep it a secret!" Vigilant exclaimed.

"Sorry, but blame your partner. She started it."

Glory snorted in amusement as Vibrance turned her glare to Deathbringer.

"Who would have thought? Vibrance and Vigilant. I have to admit I never saw it coming," Glory said smugly.

Vibrance huffed and said, "Says the queen who made out like a million times with her bodyguard."

Glory shook her head and leaned her head on Deathbringer's shoulder.

"What can I say? He's the best bodyguard around." She smiled up at Deathbringer and he responded with a small kiss.

Vibrance gasped in fake outrage.

"No he's not! Vigilant has protected you better than Deathbringer ever will!"

Glory tilted her head to the side.

"Did you hear something Deathy?"

Deathbringer perked his ears up in response to her act.

"No, I don't think so."

"Me neither. That was weird, I thought I heard someone say you weren't the best bodyguard around."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. That's sad. Whoever said that clearly doesn't know me well."

Vibrance just grunted and said, "Your love is making me kinda sick. It's like you can't live without one another."

Everything changed so quick, no one could have seen what happened next.

Deathbringer could only watch in horror as Glory recoiled from him and grabbed her head in tremendous pain.

"Glory?!" The three dragons shouted in unison.

Her scales turned as white as the moons and her eyes were looking at something distant. Tears ran down her face as if she was watching something horrible.

"Glory what's wrong?" Deathbringer shouted.

He was growing frantic. This whole thing was reminding him too much of what had happened almost two weeks ago when his queen had touched the crown.

Glory slowly came back to her senses trembling.

"There, there's something I need to tell you guys."

The four dragons walked closer to the trees for more privacy from the RainWing village.

Deathbringer sat next to Glory with his tail twined with hers and a wing around her for comfort. All the playfulness from a moment ago gone.

The queen took a deep breath before starting, "Ever since Darkstalker left my head, I've been having small visions. And every single time they show Deathbringer...but he's dead. And it scares me every time because they look so real."

Her friends and Deathbringer looked at her in worry, nothing of that was normal.

Deathbringer was the first to speak up.

"But it doesn't make sense. You're a RainWing, your tribe doesn't have any powers like Moon or other young dragons are starting to have. So how could you have visions?"

Glory shook her head. "I have no idea. I've also wondered about that but I haven't had a good idea."

Vigilant perked his head up. "I have a theory, mind if I share it?"

Deathbringer motioned for him to go on.
"Go ahead, we need a lead and anything is better than nothing."

"Well, Darkstalker was a NightWing with strong powers. He was in you and controlling you at the same time. Correct?"

Glory nodded.

"My theory is that he left something of him with you. In this case, some of his powers got stuck in you."

Vibrance spoke what she had in mind. "But how? Glory told me the drop of blood landed on the egg, which means that all his essence should've gathered in it."

Vigilant thought about something and continued, "From what Deathbringer told me, our friend here pushed Glory before she could put the the blood in the NightWing egg. I guess Darkstalker wasn't concentrated enough to put all his essence in the single drop. Thus, leaving our queen with the faintest of powers."

Vibrance sighed and put her head on Vigilant's shoulder. Glory did the same but on Deathbringer's shoulder.

"I love this. My life is the best it has ever been! I mean sure, the war was great. But this is a thousand times better!" Glory said with sarcasm as her head pounded in what felt like and aftershock.

Deathbringer rolled his eyes at her but kept quiet. Vibrance chuckled and hugged Vigilant closer.

Deathbringer closed his eyes and cherished the moment. The feeling of Glory's breath on his neck and the warmth that their bodies shared. But like always something just had to get in between their love.

A RainWing came flying and crashing down towards them with a panicked look on his face.

The four dragons stood up with alarm with Glory in the middle. Vibrance stood behind her while Deathbringer and Vigilant stood at the queen's side.

The RainWing panted to catch his breath while bowing at the same time.

"My-my queen. I-I found something near the royal hut. I wanted to go see you but you weren't there. And when I left. It- It was t-there."

Glory tried to calm him down with no success. Deathbringer glanced around nervously, he had a pretty good idea of what 'it' was.

The queen put a talon on the RainWing's shoulder to try and steady him.

"Take it easy Parrot, what exactly did you see?"

Her scales turned a calm blue that would soon change to green.

"I-I saw a-a."

Glory frowned and looked at him with hard eyes.

"Spill it out for moon's sake!"

Parrot gulped and looked at his queen with fear.

"I saw a body your majesty."
