Feet frozen in place, eyes scanning every inch of the grand entrance; Allira stood, almost scared of what lay before her. A wall reaching over ten feet high, massive buildings and a large emblem labeled UA.

The first day of a new school was always nerve wracking, but this school was different then all the others she had attended. This was not a normal school, it was a hero school. This meant that Allira would finally learn how to use her quirk and how she could use it to help people.

Thankfully, Allira never really listened to her fathers warning about her quirk. She thought that keeping it under the table would only make her afraid of her power. Instead of fearing it and bottling it up, she would practice her quirk and learn to control its power carefully, on her own time.

Students passed her as she took in the sight of the massive entrance. Walking around her form as she stood and watched quietly, each giving her odd looks as they passed. Each wearing the same uniform that Allira currently wore. A gray and green striped blazer with either a black skirt or pants.

Nevertheless, practicing a few times a week in her backyard was nothing compared to the training she would receive at U.A. High School. The thought excited her, but almost scared her. Would she be able to stay here long term? Did she dare think that far ahead?

As exciting as it was, did she really think that they wouldn't leave again? She wasn't naive enough to believe in fairy tales.

Ready to start her new journey, she took her first step onto the campus. Keeping her eyes open and senses aware, she took in everything.

Students of all ages darted back and forth, each standing in groups of three or four. Talking about the exciting new semester, asking about what classes they were in.

Upon hearing this, Allira pulled out a slip of paper from her skirt pocket. It was a hand drawn map of the school that she had found on the internet. In the bottom corner was the name of her class, 2-A.

Since this was Allira's first time on campus, she didn't know her way around. She was never given a proper tour of the school and didn't know much about it. Other than it was a hero school, however, she wasn't quite sure what that truly meant.

Examining her scribbled piece of paper, she tried to find something familiar to base her home made map to. Maybe a fountain, or a statue, anything.

Soon, Allira found herself walking in circles. She couldn't find any large landmarks, in fact, nothing looked familiar at all. She was starting to believe that the map she found online was bogus.

Now she was kicking herself for not taking a tour before her first day, but she had been busy with the enrollment requirements. Before she could even step foot on campus, she needed to get her hero's license and take the preliminary placement test. Since she was coming in as a second year, she had to meet all the same requirements as her classmates, who did all that last year. Everyone else was a year ahead, and she would be playing catch up for a while.

However, Allira was determined to succeed at this school, no matter how long her attendance lasted. Because this was the school where her mother graduated and became a Professional Hero. Ultraviolet was a Hero highly regarded by the staff and was probably the only reason she passed her preliminary testing.

During her search for her classroom, Allira found herself right back where she started. The large gates taunted her lack of direction. Frustrated, wasn't sure what else she could do. She didn't dare ask someone for directions, that would label her a newbie before classes even started and she would never hear the end of it.

Allira clutched the paper in her hands, crunching the edges, her fists sweaty. As she was about to put the useless map in her pocket, she felt a hand on her shoulder.

She forced a yelp down her throat, refusing to scream. Nonetheless, she was definitely startled. Turning she met the eyes of a stranger. He looked about her age and wore the same uniform. A head taller than her, his bright hair spiked out in odd ways. However, she caught his smile first.

Large teeth spread into a large grin as he asked. "Hey, you look a bit lost. Need help finding something?"

Allira didn't answer verbally and stared at him blankly. Who was this person and why was he being so nice to her?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you earlier." The boy let go of her shoulder respectfully. "My name is Ejiro Kirishima."

"Allira Takari." She replied softly.

"Nice to meet you." As he smiled again, she noticed a small scar over his right eye. For some reason, the presence of that scar relaxed her.

"So what class are you in?" Kirishima continued the conversation.

Allira still wasn't accustomed to socializing with many people and wasn't sure how to answer. Even if the question was simple and had a direct answer, she still felt tongue tied. Therefore, she showed him her silly sheet of paper. Where 2-A was hand written on the corner.

"Hey, that's my class!" The boy jumped up and down in excitement, he seemed way too excited about this. Especially since this was their first meeting.

However, his presence was overall enjoyable, even if she was internally panicking.

Kirishima offered to walk her to their classroom, which Allira was immensely grateful for. However, Kirishima was smart and knew straight away that Allira was lost. Therefore, he took the long route and showed her all the important spots. Such as the cafeteria, teacher offices, classrooms and even the gym. He was notably excited about that room in particular, which Allira found amusing.

All the while, Kirishima talked about his experiences from last year, telling fun stories about the fond memories he had. Even some of the lower moments too, which looking back, helped him appreciate the highs. Allira listened to his never ceasing chatter in awe, he was so open and friendly.

In addition, he didn't mention her odd appearance, not once. As if he didn't even see it. It was nice to have a conversation with a new person and not bring it up at all. Usually, it was the first thing people said to her. Never in a nice way either.

"Why are you so pale?"

What's wrong with your hair?"

"I bet you get sunburned a lot."

"How can you walk around like that? I would never have the confidence to do that."

These were just a few examples of the comments Allira would receive on a daily basis. Therefore, it was refreshing to start a new journey without those negative thoughts.

"Hey, our class is just up ahead." Kirishima pulled her from her intrusive thoughts.

"Thank you." Allira thanked him suddenly.

This made him stop walking and look back at her, confused. He hadn't done that much, just showed her around. Yet to Allira it was so much more than that.

Even though this new student only spoke four words to him, Kirishima could tell that she was a good addition to the class. He was excited to learn more about her and become friends. In shorter terms, she made a good impression on him.

"Of course." He smiled and slid open the door to their classroom.

The noise broke through the small entrance immediately after he opened the door, and Kirishima bolted inside, excited to see his friends. Allira, however, stood frozen in her place. She suddenly wanted to throw up as she observed her classmates, the room was moving as if the floor was lava.

Students of all shapes and sizes, jumping, running and yelling. A chaos that Allira had never experienced before, this was definitely no ordinary school.

Teeth chattering, Allira quickly found her seat and tried to soak in the comfortability of her desk. She closed her eyes and tried to drown out the noise around her, but she felt so vulnerable. As if everyone in the room was staring at her, judging her. However, when she opened her eyes again and looked around, no one was looking at her. No one seemed to care about her skin or her albino appearance.

This fact helped her physically relax and took a moment to read the board. Written on the chalkboard were a set of names and seat numbers. When she walked in the room she was solely focused to find where she sat, not the names of her classmates. Therefore, she took the time to read them now.

From the configuration of the desks, she took note of the names that sat on each side of her. Last names being Yaoyorozu and Bakugo, neither name she recognized.

Usually Allira hated sitting at the front of a classroom, and felt uncomfortable with everyone staring at the back of her head. In addition, she was not an amazing student. She had a harder time with math and science. Found it difficult to comprehend numbers and equations.

When Allira turned eight, her eyesight plummeted and she started using glasses. Every year or so, her sight would get worse and worse; which caused her glasses to get larger and larger. Now, everything over a foot away from her was extremely fuzzy. She had terrible nearsighted vision, and couldn't read anything without shoving her nose in it. Therefore, the front row was a necessity.

As she continued to scan the seating chart, she noticed that Kirishima, the friendly boy from earlier, was sitting behind her to the left. But she didn't know anyone else in the class. However, everyone else seemed to know each other.

Looking around she observed that everyone was hugging, chatting and hanging out as if they were old friends. As if they had known each other for years and were going about life as if nothing was new.

Allira envied them, wishing she had been able to grow up in a single place. Wished she had a real answer when people asked where she was from. She was from nowhere and everywhere. So she usually just told people something vague, or that it was a long story. That always dissuaded their attention or care and the conversation moved on.

As Allira was lost in thought, her eyes stared off into space. Glazing over as she started to sink into her inner thoughts. Someone from across the room noticed her, sitting by herself, eyes lazily staring in his direction. He knew she wasn't seeing him, even though it seemed like she was looking at him. Her expression was blank and lazy, her mind obviously not realizing she was staring right at him.

The boy moved slightly, just enough to gain her attention. Allira's eyes snapped into recognition and she realized what she was doing. Meeting the boy's gaze, she froze for a second.

The first thing she noticed was his red eyes, squinted into a frown. She had never seen anyone with red eyes like that before, it was strange. Yet, she wasn't really one to talk about weird appearances.

She quickly turned her head around, looking away from the scouliong boy. She hoped she didn't upset him, though he did look mad. Hopefully she could just ignore him and he wouldn't bother her.

Bakugo watched as the new girl came to her senses and looked away, focusing on the scratches of her desk. She was different from the other classmates, different because everyone else seemed excited to be there. But she looked out of place, uncomfortable.

Plus, he knew all of his other classmates. Having met them in middle school or his freshman year of high school. However, he had never seen her before.

"Hey, bro. Why you staring at the new girl?" Denki asked, intention in his inflection.

"She was staring first." Bakugo immediately caught himself and turned away. This idiot would use any excuse to get on his nerves.

"Of course she was, you two are the only people here scowling." Jiro folded her arms with a smirk. "She's probably trying to find someone like-minded."

"Her name is Allira Takari." Kiri added. "I met her this morning."

"Oh yeah? I can't wait to meet her." Mina jumped up in excitement.

"I think she is new to U.A. She looked pretty lost earlier, so today is probably her first day."

"What is she like?" Denki wiggled his eyebrows, his tone once again lifting.

Kirishima shrugged. "She seems nice. But she didn't talk much."

"Well it is everyone's first day, we're all on edge." Jiro pointed out.

During the conversation, Bakugo didn't add anything. He simply listened while his eyes scanned Takari's face more thoroughly. He couldn't deny that his curiosity was piqued.

As he studied her expression, he noticed something off. Something he had seen in many different types of people, something that tapped his interest even more. Under her glasses and behind her eyes, he could see sadness. A mist that formed beneath her dull expression.

Before he could think more about it, the classroom door slid open. The motion drew everyone's attention and all eyes fixed upon the entrance. In the door frame stood a man. In a sleeping bag. With a juicebox in his mouth.

The sight caught Allira off guard, the sight too bizarre for a classroom setting. However, no one else seemed to have the same reaction as her. Was it normal for grown men to walk about campus in a yellow sleep sack, whilst sipping childrens apple juice?

"Mr. Aizawa! Are you our teacher again?" A taller boy raised his hand and announced his question to the entire class.

The man in question, floated his eyes lazily to the student drawing attention to himself. Took another sip through his straw, causing a flatunet sound of bubbles to fill the silent room. Everyone watched as he sucked up the last remaining dreds of his drink.

Without any sense of haste, he stretched his arm through the opening of his sleeping bag and crumpled the plastic container and threw it away. Only then did he stand up straight and say one word.

"Yes."

The entire room exploded with energy with the single sound. Allira didn't know how to react, everyone around her was cheering and bouncing with delight. She, however, wanted nothing more than to hide under her desk and pretend she wasn't there.

Only one minute into the school year and Allira was already overwhelmed and completely out of her comfort zone. She hoped that the rest of the year would go smoother than her first day.
