OK,folks,I just heard about the intercepted Russian fighters over Alaska.

Here's the basic story outline:

On the Alaskan Airspace Zone,two (ancient) "Bear" bombers escorted by a few Su-25 "Flankers" were intercepted by a pair of American F-22 stealth fighters.

Okay,this is not to terribly good news. At the same time,this could mean that Russia, using tough Cold War relics for offensive bombing,is not doing so well in terms of funds for their air force.

Now,about the Flankers.

Okay,Su-25s are fairly recent,made around the time of the F-14,if my memory serves me right.They are quite a danger,as countries supplied with them give them okay reviews,so these are a little more of a threat. Only odd thing is that they had no loaded ammo.

Still,there is other things that they could possibly were trying to do,but with the Russians there is no telling. I mean,it could be anything from a "friendly accident" to a attempt to rile us up.
