Ichigo Kurosaki(part 1)

The orange haired boy lived in Japan. He too was a student in high school like Kim. However, he lived with his father and two sisters, namely Karin and Yuzu. His mother had died when he was a toddler.

He had realized while growing up that he could see what humans called "ghosts". He called them the "spirit of the dead" out of respect. His father knew of his abilities, but he never said anything about it. Ichigo was well known among the gangs of delinquents in both his school and other schools, but he always ended up beating them up with his skills in karate,a martial art he had practiced to protect his mother and his sisters. His mother had been his world, and when she died, he took all the blame. Like Kim, he too had lost his beloved.

Slowly, with the help of his father and his sisters, he moved on, but the guilt never stopped eating him inside. He kept it all in and made everyone think he moved on. He protected the ghosts from the delinquents who knocked down flowers he had placed for their salvation, encouraging them to go to heaven. Little did he know that these spirits had to do one last thing before they reached the state of salvation.

He knew nothing of the shinigami. His father was to him a psycho. His father was to him an idiot. His father always nanoyed and fight Ichigo whenever he could but Ichigo respected him as his senior. Little did he know that his father was discreetly training him before he became a shinigami. Ichigo too had his reiatsu overflowing continuously without him noticing.

He lived in Japan, while Kim lived in France. Urahara, his father and the other shinigamis kept an eye on him, until the commander Yamamoto decided it was finally time to give him a helping hand in discovering his powers. He assigned the wisest captain of all the other squads, namely Jushiro Ukitake for that job. As per the usual, Ukitake had to send one of his squad members, Rukia Kuchiki for his replacement. He was always sick but he was strong as he had been one of the rare students of the commander himself.

That night, Rukia set off after saying goodbye to her captain. It was her first mission outside the soul society, more precisely, in the human world. Her task was to eliminate all the hollows attracted by the orange haired boy. Urahara had been asked to help the boy about his powers. The latter gladly accepted. Though he had been banned from the soul society a few years ago, the soul reapers still asked his help sometimes which was ironic but what else could he do... He found it amusing but well, a cunning man he was.

Rukia spend her days and nights fighting off hollows. The spare time she had was spent on writing and sending reports to the soul society. She needed to get her strength back as she had to consume a lot of energy to use her reiatsu while keeping it down so as not to attract more hollows while she was fighting but also during the whole time. Rukia had no gigai. She never ever thought of having one. She didn't even know of them. She had never been to the human world before so she never thought about it. But now, she badly needed to hide and rest. It had already been a week since she left the soul society.

The head captain had asked her not to use her zanpacto powers if she could so as not to damage the areas too much. However, she was allowed to used kido, some form of magic only soul reapers could use, consisting of destruction, healing and barrier/block techniques. Rukia was a kido expert. She had not been much of a raw swordsman since in the academy. She had always been crushed by the strength of the others. She possessed not much strength, thus she could not apply it to her swordsmanship. She always relied on the power of her zanpacto, Sodeno Shirayuki, the only female ice type zanpacto of the whole soul society and on her kido powers.

Rukia was tired and swore that she had never killed as much hollows as she did those few days. She was worried about herself but laso for the people around the boy. Hollows normally appeared at night, when the spirits would be in action, but then, Rukia had seen it. She had seen the boy walking and talking to the ghost of a little boy as if the ghost was his friend of everyday life. He had even protected the ghost from a huge winged hollow by pushing him away which left rukia perplexed. She asked herself when Urahara would help him to gain his powers. But then, would the boy take responsibility of protecting the place?
