Alexander watched George call all of the employees down to the office, and they all started entering in clumps of people. Whenever Mr. King got a new employee, no one assembled a welcome party, so Alexander was not accustomed to this.
He heard a chuckle and his eyes landed on Thomas and another man, he pretty handsome as well. They were laughing together at this point.
Alexander could feel something burning up inside of him, but he didn't know what it was. It tasted horrible, and it fogged up his mind. He started to think back to high school, when he caught his girlfriend Eliza and Maria kissing. It felt EXACTLY like that.
He soon recognized it as jealousy.
He shook his head, trying to clear his mind of those nasty thoughts. He started to notice the man glaring at him, and he started to do the same.
George started to introduce him as soon as the employees were sitting on the chairs.
Alexander tried to look as professional as he could through the whole introduction, standing up as straight as he could.
(Insert gay puns)
It was then, George took his pamphlets he used for every job interview, and asked for Alexander himself to pass the copies out. Alexander chuckled as people started rushing over to snatch them. Mr. King would have never allowed this.
He started to smile at the next employee, but then saw it was the dark and tanned handsome devil himself. Alexander glared at him before hastily shoving him a pamphlet.
It seemed only Alexander felt their hands collide, and that's when his legs felt wobbly, and a strong sense of warmness overtook him as well.
Could this be love?
He quickly dismissed the thought, but still could feel the remains of a blush on his pale cheeks.
As soon as everyone took a pamphlet, their boss allowed them to read it while both of them stood there patiently.
Alexander's rebellious eyes snuck a glance at Thomas reading his pamphlet.
Thomas must read a ton, because he started reading it like a speed-demon. Thomas's eyes were filled with emotion when reading it, at different points they would brighten and darken.
People started to finish up, and just looked at him with shock. He gave a smug look because he always had this effect on people.
George continued about where he went to college, the fact that he was indeed his history teacher in college, etc. Alexander was mostly intrigued, though, on Thomas rereading his pamphlet under the table. A smirk started to brew on his lips as a plan started to form in his head.
He politely asked to go and get something from his office space, and George nodded his head, continuing on without him.
George dismissed the employees from the room, and Alexander was back in time for the meeting to be over.
Thomas was one of the last people out of the room. 'Good.' Alexander thought to himself, and he began to approach the taller man while his back was turned.
"I saw that you reading my pamphlet under the table." He said, calmly into Jefferson's ear.
The action made Thomas almost jump and bump his head on the ceiling. "W-whatever do you mean?" He replied. Alexander almost burst out into a giggle-storm, but managed to just let out a laugh.
He gave Thomas another pamphlet he created, titled "The Wave." One that was left unfinished. Why? Because it was his life story.
And it had a note on it.
A note that could change the relationship between him and taller man in front of him
'Coffee, after work, Starbucks.
~A.Ham
He bolted out the door before he could get a response out of the man, mostly because he feared rejection.
