"This young man right here" Washington started. "Is Alexander Hamilton, the main writer in Kingly Newspaper—" Thomas scoffed. It was their competitor's (and former owner's) newspaper. "But, we traded Seabury and Lee to his company." Washington continued.

Thomas almost smiled, they were probably the most awful reporters he had ever met.

Almost as if on air, Washington asked Alexander to hand out a pamphlet that he created.

Alexander smiled as people walked up to get one, and Thomas scolded himself for gushing with that dazzling smile of his.

Almost too soon, Alex's dazzling smile ceased to exist, mostly because of a tall southerner coming up his way.

Both men gave each other a glare, and Thomas gave and additional growl spoke snatching the pamphlet.

Thomas sat down, his gaze flickered between Alexander and the pamphlet. It's title was "The Cruel World" and it was written in elegant, swoopy gold letters. Thomas ran his fingertips over it and the title seemed to be engraved into the cover.

Overall it didn't seem like much, it just had a black cover with those words on it.

Thomas almost sneered because of its simplicity. He flipped it over and saw the same thing, just with the letters A.H replacing the title.

As soon as Alexander stopped handing out the little books, George instructed everyone to start reading.

Thomas raced through the pamphlet as he usually did with most articles and books. But he seemed to slow down around half of the way in.

Overall Thomas thought the pamphlet was like a drug. It created mesmerizing imaginations in his head. And the way Alexander described every little detail, almost made his heart stop beating.

But as soon as it began, the pamphlet ended, and Thomas simply needed more of it.

As people finished up reading it, Thomas saw that the pamphlet entranced other people as well. They all looked like gaping fish searching for more food.

George directed a small smile to Alexander, who was to busy looking as smug as ever.

The rest of the meeting was over in a flash, at least in Thomas's perspective.  Mostly because he was re-reading the pamphlet under the table.

As Thomas approached the door, he felt hot breath in his ear, and some soothing words that stated, "I saw you reading my pamphlet under the table."

Thomas whirled around and came face  to face with the shorter man. "W-what ever do you mean?"

It caused the shorter man to laugh, a short and sweet melodic melody to Thomas's ears.

"Here." Alexander whispered into his ear, handing him another pamphlet titled, "The Wave" in the same style as before. This time, however, it had a yellow sticky note on it.

Thomas was about to ask him what it was and why did he even bother to give it to him, but the man had already whisked out of the door.
