The Nighthawk | Cluster 38
─┉┈◈◉◈┈┉
❝ The sneaky stars start shooting down,
as the mellow midnight moon wakes up.
Pitch darkness had engulfed the town,
'Sun did get her final cut.'
Grumbling down the gravel,
walked I, holding a sword.
Thick crimson blood had engulfed the battle,
many cries were heard to the Lord.
I, the Nighthawk as they called,
was a noble warrior to protect all.
I often felt quite lost,
trapped within these weary walls.
Being a soldier under sinister strings,
was something I became numb to.
I was one of the kings,
of appearing falsely true.
Snapping out of my thoughts,
I spotted his tranquil tent.
I know this overruled many laws,
to do this factually forbidden quest.
Alas, the love that intertwined us,
was starting to ache from the longing.
We had made a precious promise,
to be husbands, welded by a ring.
Surprised? Even I was when I learnt,
that he was the prince of the opposition.
'Do your worst.'
stated the once kind king's nation.
I stepped in and spotted my love,
in a shining armour glistening with blood.
I see him faintly blush,
while I again felt love struck.
Time ceases to stop,
as his beauty tranquilises me.
Our eyes lock,
only to be soon erased by history.
('Lips red as rose,
heart made out of sinfully beautiful goodness.
His love is something that glows,
even in the poison of dainty darkness.
Caged in my heart were the golden words,
soon to be uttered under the mistletoe.
We were of two different wretched worlds
trapped within our own thoughtful shadows.')
Time rolled over, as he said
"You have come here to end me, precious?"
I felt pungent dread shred,
as I nod, feeling helpless.
"Fear not love, it is fate that has torn us apart-"
with that, he pulled me in for a loving kiss.
"but our forever intertwined hearts-"
and then I killed my prince.
Guilt and self-hate filled me,
as his teary eyes smile.
My calmness seemed to flea,
as I felt something from miles.
Death; a golden trinket of luck
walked in as I got lost within him.
I held him close while his time struck
to Death who was quite grim.
I soon felt the placid pain subside,
as I saw an army marching towards me.
I soon heard the battle cries,
as I finally got sinfully free.
('This was a story of two soulmates,
destined to meet everyone lifetime.
Both standing on a hourplate,
they soon got parted by Death; quite sublime.'
"But isn't that unfair?", questioned Time,
after witnessing such a tragic tale.
"Life is like roads of rime,
hiding the vicious veils of dwale.")
