"The official battle between both gym leader Clemont and Clembot against challenger Ash Ketchum from Pallet town will start. The rules are different today. There will be three battles, to win the whole battle, you have to just win two of those fights." Meyer spoke, as both sides stood there. One with man with determination and robotic hearth, the other with man who waited for this the moment he knew about their situation.

An hour ago

Bonnie squeaked with happiness, as all of them were there. Clemont explained how he and their father prepared it and they did. They had Bonnie's favourite cake with big 10 on top. Multiple gifts in one corner.

She was so much happy. She was still worried about Celebi, but everything what was happening in each next second made her enjoy it even more. 

The cake, the confetti shot out from Clembot instead of pokeballs, the music, everything. And then the gift were next.

From father, she got things like her own pokedex, purse, pokeballs and other things needed for her to be able to travel even alone. She also got big hug from with words how she grown up. From Serena, she got a bag on her back in yellow collor with black straps and from Clemont, she got poketch, Dedenne's pokeball as her starter and some type of ball with yellow button on top and words.

"Use it only if you are in danger." and then Ash came, holding box. She took it from him, opening it, to reveal another pokeball.

"Huh?" she asked confused, as she took it out, looking at Ash, who nodded her to open it. She opened the pokeball to reveal pokemon they saw with Ash since the first the moment they met. "Teddiursa! I-I don't undestand..."

"Well Bonnie, since I came here, I felt you were caring for Teddiusa much more then me and so some time ago I gave it to Clemont's possession. Which I have to say I am surprised nobody noticed that I had seven pokemon at the same time." Ash said with grin, as Bonnie cuddled with Teddiursa. "But that isn't all Bonnie." she looked at him confused, but then pulling out a small card with code and number above it.

"10 000!" Bonnie exclaimed, everyones eyes widening and looking at Ash who already raised his hands.

"Before you say anything. I think Bonnie will need it as to how I got it, well..." he paused for a moment. Bonnie looked at card more and noticed date on its side.

"It will expire in three days." Bonnie said and Ash nodded.

"I had it already for three years and when I knew you would be having birthday, I thought you could use it much more then me." he said with big grin, scratching behind his head.

"Thank you Ash." Bonnie said as she hugged him, surprising him.

"Hey, it is your birthday. And also that is not the only thing we prepared." Ash said as he looked at Clemont.

Present

"Come out!" both gym leaders yelled, as they revealed Bunnelby and another green pokemon, it had round fat pokemon with limbs a little bit dwarf limbs with big spikes on its back.

"Quilladin, spiny armor pokemon, grass type, evolution of  Chespin. Evolved They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won't start fights."

"So Chespin evolved?" Ash asked as he pushed his pokedex back inside his pocket.

Clemont and Clembot looked at each other and he then looked back. "Yup, we trained really hard for this fight Ash. We are ready for it." he said with big smile and Ash chuckled and pulled out one pokeball and on other hand, Pikachu jumped down from his shoulder and ran forward.

"Alright then, I choose Pikachu and YOU!" Ash yelled and threw the pokeball, revealing small blue-green pokemon with big green plant bulb on its back. "I am taking on those words Serena." Ash said with grin, as Meyer told the rules. Serena remembered what he was talking about.

"If I didn't know Ash, I would think he isn't taking it seriously, but by how we know him, I think this will be interesting." Bonnie said with small grin, but then yelled. "Go for boys and Clembot!"

"Battle begin!"

"Bunnelby dig."

"Quilladin follow inside." Clembot reacted with his creator both pokemon went under ground.

"Pikachu iron tail." Ash said and Pikachu prepared with glowing tail, waiting for the ground to shake, only to feel the whole ground shook. Pikachu looked around, trying to find the incoming attack, but then the ground broke under him, revealing Quilladin with glowing fist and Bunnelby ready to attack. But when they swung at Pikachu, a sudden green whips took Pikachu around his waist and took him away. "Good job Bulbasaur. Now use razor leaf."

"Quilladin counter with pin missile." Quilladin's spikes shone, releasing multiple glowing projectiles. They collided with flying leafs creating smoke screen, from which came out Bunnelby surrounded by electricity and rolling Quilladin with fast speed. Quilladin charged at Pikachu, while Bunnelby on Bulbasaur, who dodge as well, but couldn't hold for long when they turned around for another round. Both pokemon dodged again, but they went for another round close to hit.

"Both of you swap." Pikachu and Bulbasaur looked at each other, both changing sides. "Pikachu use iron tail to get stuck in ground. Bulbasaur take it." Bulbasaur took the attack, letting Quilladin jump away grinning. Pikachu as well took the whole attack, being pushed back by Bunnelby who charged still, but Pikachu's tail only broke the ground behind and after a moment stopping, leaving Pikachu totally unharmed by attack. Pikachu swung and tried to hit Bunnelby, who blocked it with its ears. Clemont was confused for moment why he would do something like this, when his eyes suddenly widden by seeing his grass type falling on its knees being wrapped by sticky vines and then Bunnelby as well, but also yellow sparks around its body.

"When?" Clemont asked as he looked at Bulbasaur, who was partly stucked in ground, walking out with scratches, but then his eyes widened seeing its bulb and remembering Pikachu's ability.

"Leech seed, pretty bad attack to recieve, but I couldn't let you know about it sooner." Ash said with grin, watching how both opponent pokemon were hit by draining energy of Leech seed, remembering what they planned. 

"He used the leech seed the moment Quilladin jumped away and hit Bunnelby as well." Clembot said looking at all pokemon, seeing how both their pokemon stood back up still with vines around their body, but not taking away their energy. Bulbasaur on other hand stood there, its scratches being healed slowly. Now it was about who would end first.

"Bulbasaur use solar beam. Pikachu use elect-" Ash words were cut short by Clembot's.

"Use Vine whip." Quilladin sent out vines, Pikachu reacting by sending out thunderbolt, hitting them, but then being hit mud, Bulbasaur as well. Ash's eyes widened, as he forgot on Bunnelby, who sent out mud shot and hitting both of them. He looked at Pikachu, who was knocked out for a moment and then Bulbasaur, whos eyes were covered. He looked at other side, seeing both pokemon were now being hit by Leech seed.

"Bulbasaur use vine whip in ground." Ash said, confusing everyone, but Bulbasaur did as told and after a moment, letting out a big roar and letting out big powerful energy light. Everyone covered their eyes except both fighting sides, looking at the big smoke coming out from the battlefield.

After a moment, it revealed fainted Bunnelby, but Quilladin standing back up, but being hit another wave of draining energy from Leech seed, but still standing. "Bunnelby is unable to battle." Meyer said, as he watched how by any moment Quilladin would join, but was holding for now.

"Quilladin use Pin missile and follow with Rolout." Clembot reacted fast and Quilladin as told, sending green missiles and following behind them.

"Bulbasaur use razor leaf. Pikachu use iron tail." Ash reacted and Pikachu jumped forward being followed by spinning leafs that hit the missiles, creating smoke screen. Pikachu jumped through it ready to hit, but was surprised when Quilladin wasn't there. Quilladin jumped behind Pikachu with glowing fist a smashing Pikachu into ground without time to react. Pikachu slowly got up, but was surprised by another attack from Quilladin that rolled at him in full speed hitting him. Quilladin was about attack again, but was slowed down by leech seed and then lift up by green vines. Quilladin looked at the start of vines to see Bulbasaur looking really angry. Bulbasaur lifted Quilladin higher and then slamming him into ground with high speed.

And when the dust settled, it revealed Quilladin fainted. "Quilladin is unable to battle. Both pokemon from gym leaders's side are unable to battle, which means the first round goes to challenger Ash." Meyer spoke, Clembot and Clemont returned their pokemon. Clemont looked at other side, seeing Pikachu heavily breathing.

"Good job both of you." Ash spoke, both of his pokemon turning to him and jumping on his shoulders. But as they did that, a sudden pain throbbed inside his head. Ash held hand to side of his trying to calm down the pain,  when dull words from his friends made him turn his gaze. "What?"

"Are you ok Ash?" Clemont asked, looking at him, but Ash shook with his head and smiled.

"Yeah I am fine, just some small headache. Shall we go next?" Ash asked, as he turned to both of his pokemon. They seemed worried, but Ash didn't look like in more pain so they let it slide this time. "Your turn."

"Come out!" both gym leadrs yelled, revealing Heliolisk and Magneton. Ash looked at them and then at one of the balls he was holding. It was the newest one and he still didn't have time to know this pokemon, but he felt it could work.

"I need your help." Ash threw both balls, red and white one revealing Hippowdon and the black, yellow and white one Rhydon. Rhydon looked around, seeing two opponents and then to his side, there stood the pokemon who he faced of before being captured by trainer behind him.

"Another battle between challenger and gym leaders shall begin!"

"Rhydon use Drill run." Ash started first and Rhydon landed on his front, punching into ground few times before running forward with its horn spinning in high speed.

"Magneton use flash cannon." Clemont reacted and Magneton flew higher before creating grey ball of energy and then changing it into beam and sending it ramming pokemon. It made direct contact, but from the explosion came out Rhydon still continuing in attack.

"Helliolisk Flash." Generator pokemon let out blinding light, making everyone cover their eyes. "And follow with bulldoze." before anyone could see what was happening, Rhydon was finally stopped by not able to see anything and also cracked ground under him. From the destroyed ground also came out Hippowdon who was up until now under ground. "Helliolisk use Focus Blast on Rhydon."

"And Magneton use Flash cannon on Rhydon as well." Magneton created another flashing beam, Helliolisk created yellow glowing orb that flew in high speed at Rhydon, who was still confused by the sudden flash of lights. They made big explosion, but surprising everyone when from the big cloud of smoke came out two figures, one standing in front of other. When it finally cleared, it revealed Hippowdon, heavily breathing and standing right in front of Rhydon, who finally recovered.

Hippowdon was heavily breathing, but everyone's attention was on the its holes that filled with sand and suddenly sending out huge wave of sand in sky. Covering everything in it. From the smoke they could hear Hippowdon's roar. Clemont got a moment to see on Hippowdon. It suddenly started to charge with silver light around its body, glowing more than he thought it would. Before some of them could say anything, Hippowdon charged into Magneton and partly hitting Heliolisk who almost dodged.

"Good job Hippowdon. Rhydon use Rock blast." from the huge sand storm came out stones, but they were deflected by Heliolisk who shattered by green glowing tail.

"Magneton use rain dance." Clemont said and Magneton flew higher, creating big cloud over battlefield. And not longer after huge rain that made all the sand drop back on ground. "I didn't realise your Hippowdon was one with sand force until I saw it attack sand storm. Very nice with that, but we are prepared with that." Clemont said with slight grin.

"I knew you would. Rhydon u-" but before he could say something, Rhydon created another rocks and threw them. Magneton dodged and Helliolisk ran forward with green tail ready. When it got close, Rhydon used its arm to make them glow and swung for hit. But missed and received a few hits from the electric type. The rain only made Rhydon even more angry, but was interrupted by another hit from beam. Rhydon stood back angrily, but he looked back at the trainer. He didn't look happy but not mad either. "Listen me next time. Use rock blast again. Trust me." was everything what he said. Rhydon looked at him not sure, but did it again. Helliolisk ran again with green glowing tail and close to hit, but then suddenly the ground under them shook and from it came out Hippowdon hitting Helliolisk in full power.

"Magneton use multiple sonic booms." Magneton created big wave of sound that hit them almost but they dodged, making the ground flow up a little and then another landed again. The entire ground was completely destroyed, but both pokemon were fine from all those attacks. But a lot of dust was in air, that quickly falling down due to the rain, but then from it came out yellow glowing orb, fully hitting Hippowdon in its head. Ash looked through the small hole in could of dust and saw Helliolisk there and sending out another focus blast.

"Rhydon dodge quickly." Ash reacted, but met with Magneton using flash cannon around Rhydon blocking from escape and taking the full hit from another full super effective hit and creating big explosion. Clembot and Clemont looked at the battlefield with their eyes widening when they saw the familiar figure with horn still standing and then hearing its roar. They waited for an attack, but as they watched the dust go away, they saw Rhydon covered in scratches. It was heavily breathing, but its eyes still full of energy. It landed back on its front and ran forward. Both gym leaders were about to attack when the horn pokemon crashed in middle of the run

Meyer looked at other side and saw how one pokemon was crashed in ground and the other collapsed on its knees unable to stand up again. "Both Rhydon and Hippowdon are unable to battle. Team gym leaders wins!" Meyer pointed to other side. Clemont took deep breath, before letting  big smile on his face, that was wet from ongoing rain.

"Good job both of you." Ash said as he returned his pokemon and then looked up. "That goes for both of you too.

"Well, the next upcoming battle will decide it sir." Clembot said, as he returned Helliolisk and switched pokeballs inside its robotic arm. "I choose you Magnezone!"

"Luxray I need you." Clemont said and threw his pokeball two pokemon came out. One was yellow and black big lion like pokemon and the other one steel oval schaped pokemon with three heads with the middle one much more bigger on the sides one big magnets.

"I need you both to help me for this final battle." Ash exclaimed, throwing pokeballs, revealing red black Krookodile with its favourite red sunglasses and and the other one was tall white pokemon with purple belly and big long horns that would equally mobile as its tail.

"So Goomy evolved fully? I am happy to see you again now Goodra." Clemont said with smile and Goodra replied with happy reply.

"And Luxio as well. Shows a growth." Ash said with smile, confusing the gym leader.

"Krookodile!" the other pokemon on other hand was more ready for the battle.

"Final battle between gym leaders and Ash Ketchum. Battle begin!"

"Magnezone use Thunder on Goodra." Clembot reacted first. Magnezone's body sparked with electricity and then sending out strong bolt of electricity in the clouded and raining roof. The clouds were sparking and then from the sky came out huge lightning aiming straight at Goodra. But before making hit, Krookodile jumped up over Goodra taking entire hit without letting out even a roar of pain.

"Well done Krookodile. Now use Dark pulse on Luxray and you Goodra use Dragon pulse on Magnezone." Krookodile let out dark energy pulse and Goodra let out purple glowing dragon at their opponents.

"Magnezone use Light screen." 

"Luxray Swift."

Magnezone created big transparent wall in front of both them and then letting Luxray to jump, sending out multiple stars from its tails. The two attacks hit the screen, going through but visibly weaker than before and the stars stopping them entirely. After that, the rain stopped.

"Now Magnezone use Lock on for Goodra." robot's words made Ash see what they were up to and they were good with it. Over Goodra's belly appeared red target.

"Goodra use Dragon pulse." Goodra let out roar and another colourful attack.

"Luxray use electric terrain."

"Magnezone thunder."

Luxray let out loud roar, letting some of electricity into ground and then the entire room sparked with electricity. Magnezone's body sparked even more and let out strong electric stream, destroying the purple dragon on the way and then up into sky and after a moment hitting Goodra.

Goodra let out roar of pain, but before anyone could say anything, The entire ground under Luxray's feet broke making Luxray fall down and then out of the jumped out Krookodile hitting Magnezone with its tail, sending Magnezone into wall. Magnezone flew out from the 

"Goodra use rain dance. Krookodile use repeated Dragon claw on Magnezone." Goodra was the one this time to let out loud rour, making the ceiling be covered by big dark cloud that started to drop rain. Goodra looked up happy at rain, letting it touch its skin, let it feel Goodra better. The entire battlefield stopped sparking and got again wet. Krookodile on other side of battlefield was swinging with its claws at Magnezone, who was dodging by any chance it could.

"Magnezone use gyro ball."

"Luxray use wild charge at Goodra." both gym leaders spoke together, saying their next move. Luxray was covered in electricity and quickly charged at Goodra, who was standing there. Magnezone on other hand got hit by Krookodile's glowing claws, flying back flinched for a moment before it started to spin, hitting Krookodile and sending it in the air. Magnezone then continued at Goodra slowly catching up to its colleague.

"Goodra use bide." Ash reacted and Goodra stood steadily, look of determination on the dragon's face. Both charging pokemon made their attacks hit, making Goodra to slide a few feets back, but still standing. Krookodile finally landed back on its feet, looking back at Goodra. Goodra was covered in scratches, but was also glowing with red light around its body. Both electric pokemon returned to their sides, ready for another attack, but Clemont's mind was in full thinking.

'Ash knows it won't do a lot damage. What is he planning?' Clemont thought to himself, while Clembot decided to go for another Thunder on Goodra. He looked to Goodra's side, he saw Krookodile ready to take it again. "Luxray use swift between Goodra and Krookodile and keep them that way."

As Krookodile was ready do what it did as first thing, Krookodile was stopped by multiple stars between them. Krookodile tried to jump over them but was hit by multiple stars and being send back into wall. Krookodile's glasses fell from its face enough for to see how Goodra got hit by strong stream of electricity. Goodra fell on one knee, but was still conscious, but it wouldn't take another hit. Krookodile traied to stand up, but felt how its body was slowly starting to get weeker.

"Goodra please hold it still." Ash mumbled, certain in his pokemon. Krookodile on other hand saw how Goodra was heavily breathing. He was trying to stand up, but the body wouldn't move.

"Luxray use another swift on Goodra this time."

"Magnezone use gyro ball on Goodra."

Magnezone started to quickly spin toward Goodra follow by Luxray's stars, making a fusion of silver ball surrounded by stars and Krookodile only watched. Remembering, this time its body being frozen by memories.

They died that time and he wasn't there to save them. He only heard how they died with Krookodile having regrets. Now he was here, he saw how Goodra was holding everything it got to do everything it could, but it wouldn't hold this. Krookodile was here and it could protect Goodra, but its body was frozen because of the past. The image of Emboar and its other survivor being covered in burns, their trainers among them morning for the man with green hair.

This time it would be right. Memories or nightmares, it wasn't stopping Krookodile, not even its weakened body that lost for a moment an air after hitting hard wall.

Goodra watched the incoming attack, ready to take it, but not ready if it could stand it till the end. And then, Krookodile was in front of Goodra, its claws green and glowing. Before Goodra could think more, Krookodile was hit by the attack, making Krookodile to slide a little back, bumping into Goodra's front before stopping. Krookodile let out loud roar and after all the stars had hit Krookodile skin, it threw the spinning Magnezone across the room right at Luxray.

Krookodile made small smile, before falling on ground with its view being clouded by darkness, but yet it could see huge white light.

When Ash saw how on other side of battlefield the invisible barrier fell apart, he grinned. "Now Goodra." and Goodra quickly replied by letting out a huge white beam, destryoing ground under it and hitting both gym pokemon. It made huge explosion, creating strong wind, stirring up all the clouds, making everyone to stannd steady or making both girls to hold tighter on the railing.

Everyone looked at the side of explosion, to see the result of the attack. All of them saw the big cloud of smoke, slowly disappearing, revealing both pokemon lying on ground.

"Both Luxray and Magnezone are unable to battle. The winner of the battle is Ash Ketchum!" Meyer finally broke the silence. Goodra after this finally dropped down almost on ground, but was hold up by Ash, who had big smile on his face.

"Thank you all. You did good." he said, before pulling out from his other side pokeball to recall Krookodile who lied unmoving on ground. He ignored how his side that held Goodra was being more covered by slime. He looked up at Goodra, asking about the same thing and Goodra nodded, being recalled back into pokeball.

"Very good job Ash." Clemont said, as he walked up to him. 

"You too Clemont, you met the expectation I wanted." Ash said, when he noticed Clembot walking up to them with box.

"Ash, me and Clembot are very proud to give our badge. Here we are giving you Voltage badge." Ash grabbed the badge, holding it steadily in his hand.

Evening

In the forest, there were floating two figures, one had tentacles looking more like a tapes and the other had its body most of a time changing.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, now." one figure said, but nothing happened to their surprise. "Why isn't Celebi anywhere?" the figure asked angry, using one of it tapes moving it one moment, another it was again at its side, tree falling next to them.

"I don't know. This never happened before. Maybe Celebi died in time stream?"  the other figure asked looking everywhere.

"If Celebi died, it would be brought back from dead through time. Something else happened. AND WHERE THE HELL IS HE!" the figure asked, slashing another tree. When the tree has fallen, on other side stood a man.

"I am here." he said with low voice, getting both their attention.

"Good finally for you to show up. I remember we gave you exact information about showing up in time. Tell me why are you late." the second figure floated closer to the man.

"I had some things to do." the man answered, but the only slash on his cheeck.

"Having a gym battle isn't more important." he tentacle person answered, but the man grabbed the next tentacle that was about to slash him, bleeding from his hand.

"That wasn't my battle, that was his and if you next time plan on hitting me without me explaining, there will corpse to clean and it won't be mine." the man answered, letting go of the tape. "Celebi came out of time stream sooner than your awesome calculation predicted." the man said with smirk.

"How is that possible, it never happened before." the second figure reacted, but the man raised his hand.

"Let me take care of it, you just have to make sure your plan works." the man said, but the first figure only fighted back.

"You better not screw this up Ash, because we don't need you that much." but its words were cut off by fist into its face. The man there stood with his face showing hatred, his eyes changing between brown to purple.

"Don't you dare to compare to that idiot. You know as much as I do, you need me." he walked away, mumbling. "This world might be stupid, but like hell I will let myself be to be seen as weak."
