Moving On
4 Months Later
Madison P.O.V
"Hey Lucas, I miss you. It's been a while, I know. I promised to see you every day and I haven't kept my promise. I'm sorry. I don't want to disappoint you. You've always been there for me. I miss you so much. Why do bad things have to happen to good people?" I stared at his grave.
His grave seemed so empty. As if no one had been there in years. Which was technically true, although it had only been a month and a half since his death. The chemo spread faster than expected and he died faster then expected.
"I love you Lucas, I always will." I said looking once more at his grave. Placing down the bouquet of flowers on the dirt I slipped the ring of my finger. I glanced at the ring once more before burying it next to my beloved husband.
I walked away without looking back. It's time to move on. I'll be going to UCLA in a week and it's time to leave the past behind and to start planning for the future. Lucas will always have a place in my heart that no one else will be able to fill. I'll love him, until the day I die and join him in another land.
