Turns out that Hamburgers were NOT invented by the Germans.
They were invented here in america.

They were named Hamburgers after the city of Hambur, in Germany. Because of their steaks or something like that.

So basically the story goes that this fifteen year old kid was selling meatballs at a fair, back in the 1800s.
And not many people were buying them because no one can eat meatballs and walk at the same time.

So he's like "hey! If I squish them between two pieces of bread, THEN PEOPLE CAN EAT AND WALK!!!"

And thus, the Hamburger was born.

White castle was the first Hamburger place.
