I don't know who's house this really is...but I think their house would be something like this.

Scarlett POV:

It's already going on noon when I get up and search for my clothes.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting dresses, what does it look like?"

"Why?"

"Because I have work to do and I can't just hang out here all day. Besides I missed my morning workout with Marcus and I'm sure Zane is pissed about it."

"Marcus?"

"Oh my personal trainer; I work out every morning and I mean every morning. I didn't go home last night and its going on noon and I'm sure I will never hear the end of it."

"I thought you text him last night, besides babe he will be fine. Don't leave me."

"I will be back."

He gets out of bed and finds his pants. "That's what you said the last time."

"I know sorry that will not happen again. I need to go get a change of clothes anyway."

"I want to come with you."

"I don't know if that will be a good idea." I say as I walk downstairs to find my shoes.

He comes trailing behind me. "Why not? You don't think I can handle Zane and his dogs, please give me some credit here."

"It's not that."

"Oh so you are ashamed to be seen with me."

"No! Why do you want to go so bad?" I turn to face him.

He just looks at me as if I lost my mind.

"You're afraid he is going to hurt me again but more afraid that I'm really might not come back. You're scared you are going to lose me."

"Just let me come with you."

"Fine, whatever but promise you won't start shit I don't want the two of you arguing."

"Yes ma'am."

Mekhi POV:

Damn I want her to just stay here naked with me all day for that matter. When I seen her come out of the bathroom she starts putting on her clothes and I know she is leaving. Yes I'm pissed because I want me to come before anyone else and she is still under his control. I want her all to myself.

I promise not to start anything and I won't but if anything is said to her I will put a stop to it. I will kill anyone who disrespect or causes her any form of pain.

I let her drive her car to her house. I've never been inside the gates. She punches in a code and the gates open right up. As we drive through we make our way down a long drive and just over the small hill the house.. I mean a massive mansion comes into view. Damn.

She pulls into the garage and I am in awe of the amount of cars in here. I have never seen such a fine collection like this. I mean yeah I have a few and so does my dad but this is freaking crazy. I don't even notice when she gets out of the car until she ask me if I'm coming or not.

"Well come on." She laughs.

We enter the house and it's immaculate. I follow her through this maze of a place and we end up in the backyard more like a courtyard from a movie. I mean my dad's place is nice don't get me wrong but this is ridicules.

We walk over to Zane and he stands up to look at her and then at me.

"You missed your morning workout."

"I know." Is all she says back.

"Well Marcus is gone for the day; I told him to take the day off."

"Wow." She looks over at Atticus and says "hi."

"Good afternoon, Scar. I see you brought someone with you."

She looks back at me over her shoulder and reaches out for my hand and then introduces us. "Zane, Atticus this is Mekhi, Mekhi that is Atticus and this is Zane, my dad."

I reach out with my other hand and shake their hands with a firm grip.

"Nice to see you again son. Have a seat let's chat." He gestures for me to sit down next to him.

"So I hear you and Scarlett are friends now."

"Yes sir, well I hope a little more than just friends." I look over at her and she smiles back at me.

"Really now...what exactly do you mean."

Scarlett cuts into the conversation, "We are just friends, Zane it's nothing really."

He looks back at her like he is almost wants to snap on her and he probably would if I wasn't sitting there. I know the type he is and he wouldn't dare tolerate being talked to like that.

"Why don't you go get changed, you had that on yesterday."

She stands up and looks at him and then back at me. She reaches out to grab my hand for me to go with her but Zane has other plans.

"Scarlett go on and change he will be fine."

She looks at both of us again and then without saying anything she lets go of my hand and goes inside as she it told to do. Once she is gone out of sight he starts in. I knew it was coming I mean he is a father why wouldn't he.

"Mekhi Adler." He says my name.

"Yes sir."

"Scarlett is my baby girl. I will kill anyone who hurts her do you understand that son?"

I look right back at him and stare him down. "Yes sir, but I want you to understand that I want her to be mine. I'm in love with her and I want you to know that I will also kill anyone that ever hurts her and I do mean anyone."

"She has never been in love and I know I can't stop this from happening. I can see it in her eyes that she is in love with you. I mean hell you come into the picture and now she is constantly disobeying me, missing curfew, coming home in the morning and not texting or answering her phone."

I just look at him not saying anything.

"I just need to know are you using her. I know what kind of guy you are. You're like me we use woman to get what we want."

"I can assure you sir that I will never use her. I'm not ever going to hurt that girl. She has changed me sir."

"And you know what she does for me; you know her line of work. If I need her I need her and it will be odd hours of the day. I need her to always answer her phone do you get that?"

"Yes sir."

"I take it she already knows what you do for a living."

"Yes sir. I told her everything. I can't just tell anyone you know what I mean. She understands and she doesn't judge me for it."

"Son I been where you are and I fucked it all up. I want her to have the happiness that I couldn't. If she ever comes home hurt, I swear I will kill you myself."

"I can promise you that will never happen."

I hear someone behind me and when I turn to see her she is staring at the both of us. She is now wearing short blue jean shorts with a green tank top. I turn to look back at Zane.

"Sir I know it is soon but I would really like for her to move in with me."

He looks at Scarlett and back at me contemplating the idea. "I don't know if I'm ready to give her up however I know she is going to keep going and eventually not come back. At least if I know if she is there I know she will be alright."

She comes up between us and I see it on her face before she even has to say anything that she is pissed. "Maybe I want my own place. Maybe I don't want to live with either one of you."

Zane ignores her all together and looks at me. "I might let her move in with you if you can make sure she is here every morning to workout. She has to keep up with staying fit."

"I can arrange that sir."

Her hand comes slamming on the table between us. "Excuse me this is my life you two are talking about. I can make my own fucking decision and neither onevof you own me so stop acting like it," she snaps. Then she turns to walk off back into the house.

"Do you see what I am dealing with? You sure you can handle her son?"

"Yes sir, I know I can."

"Well then, guess you better go after her."

I stand up to go into the house but before leaving I shake his hand, "thank you sir."
